Gear BHO purge temps

Hi. I have a question about BHO heat purge temps. I shoot into ISO because I do not have a vac. So I hear purge in a water bath at about 130. Then I move to a hot plate ate about 120-135. Temp varies. I have not whipped it. But I would like to try. Can this be done at these temperatures? Thanks!

Hello. Welcome!
I would not recommend whipping your BHO. There is no benefit and it may speed oxidation and degradation of actives. My purge temps never go that high, but I use a vac. You may try lower temps to start. You can always go higher but you cannot reverse the effects of too much heat.

Thanks! It's been hard for me to get anyone to give me a straight answer. Mucho appreciated!!

I'm running some today I'll post pics when done. Before it goes in the vac, while I'm purging the liquid tane, I keep the temp <100F. Once it goes in the vac, I begin to adjust vac pressure and temp. I start with full vac and low temp, then raise temp and lower vac periodically. If not using a vac you want the oil to be as thin as possible to allow the most surface area for purging.

Sweet! Looking forward to seeing it! Love to see it really.

whipping the oil doesn't improve it. But it will be whipable at temps above 100 degrees.

I shoot into a pyrex bowl, sometime I have alcohol in the bottom sometime not. next I purge inside a 100-140 degree food dehumidifier. Bowl placed inside a humidfier creates a low pressure area on the surface of the bowl, not vacuum but headed there. I let the Tane evaporate in the chamber for 1-3hours. Then scrape the oil off the sides, and thinly spred across the bottom. Put it back in the DH chamber and let it set for 1-3 hour. Total amount of time is about the texture of the final product you want from shatter to runny oil to almost a power.
