my 2 cents.....never used an underdog,don't need to. I'd never heard of log vapes and initially came on here to ask about a plenty by storz and bickel. I was pointed toward log vapes. I took a leap of faith......I love the nano and now I don't have any interest in any other log! 30mins of reading and I was sold on the nano. I looked at UD and PD and HI's and they just seemed over complicated or maybe it's cause the nano makes things so damn easy! I dunno? Andy makes a truly great product. If you are in 2 minds after all yr research then nothing we say will change your mind. PS@Seren nobody deserves that but I have a feeling that we are gone! I hope so anyway. Love everyone an all that,but enough is enough.

That's a good question, i'm sure Andy would accomodate. I too don't do blue light after sunset (i'm sensitive to blue light, it destroys my sleep).... so on my next Nano I was going to pass on the led and no hole. Now, I wonder if Andy will pop in a red led in there?

@fregglepops I agree 100%. I too looked into all the other logs, but the Nano seemed WAY simpler and the Inline VVPS was the clincher.

I can't believe how fast this thread moves! This is the one I have the hardest time keeping up with lol

I couldn't live without my Nano!!!

EDIT: Yikes, now I know why it moved so fast LOL That was painful!

Just to add to the pros of the Nano....

I bought my Nano on sale for like $160 last christmas? So very good value for dollar, even at $200 it is.....and fuck it, I think it's even worth more!

The Nano CAN be used in the car.....with my 400w $50 inverter it works the same as if off the wall outlet. Awesome.

The grooves that stop the heater port are a HUGE advantage! I can invert and leave the nano on to preheat, instead of always holding it. I coudnt ever see myself with an UD or HI that doesn't have that stop... and the adjustable screens are awesome.

I went through all the research of many different logs for my first, and now that I have the Nano...I really don't even care to look at anything else. IMHO the Nano is the perfect log vape, especially the newer cord version that I want so bad!

Fuck I love my Nano.

FYI, it's not an LED. It's a blue Neon light (unless I'm mistaken). LED's can't dim without some additional electronics on 110V, the neon isn't actually all that bright when sent to 7. Might get a bit annoying at 10, but how often are you running that?

I was thinking about making a small snap-on cover for the light and having it 3D printed in Metal. But there really isn't enough space to make something low-profile.

After last night's session with 5 people, my only question is: how am I ever going to get enough AVB to make edibles? It cost me less than a can of coke from a vending machine, a whopping total of 80 cents to have an enjoyable session with 5.

I have determined that either:
1.) My nano runs a bit cool
2.) The thin gauge extension cord that allows me to plug Flos in saps quite a bit of power.

Currently leaning towards the latter. No noticeable vapor at 8-8.5 on the adjustor. Will have to do more experimentation to see some clouds (Different outlets, dial movement, yadayada).


For those that are looking for an efficient vape that can pack a punch, look no further than the nano:rockon:

I doubt you're getting even a 3% drop in voltage. I think normal home voltage fluctuations are going to create more ups and downs than your extension cord.

The place that I live at now hasn't had electrical redone since the 60s. Using Flos at level 10 doesn't result in combustion, so at this point I am a bit confused on what could be causing the problem.

If you decide to invest in a multimeter that is capable of handling 120v ac, you could check yourself and watch for any voltage drops.

A) Is the Nano's wood warm to your touch (giggity) - if not, let it sit for 10+ minutes to reach the set temperature

B) How far is your material sitting from the heater? Using the metal E-Pik, there is a metal notch on the longer tip (for stirring). The long notch indicates the optimal distance from the opening of the stem to the basket screen. Make sure you use the pik as a guide and use a chopstick to push the screen into place from the other side.

It really sounds to me like your herb is sitting too far away from the heat. When I first got my Nano, I was running as high as 8.5 to vape. Now that I know how to use the Nano, I never go above 7.25 (usually start at 5.5 for flavor)

A) Yes, the wood is quite warm to the touch. (But never using any other nanos doesn't give me a clue on how warm it "should" be)

B) If I were to insert the long part of the E-pik up until the notch (not the curvy part), then would that be the appropriate distance? (Seems kinda close as if the herb was basically touching the heater screen of the nano)

I think you potentially have hit the problem right on the head. Will post updates when I get the chance to try it out. (and thanks for the advice, Ratchett )

Yes, It absolutely sounds like you have your herb far away from the heat. It's hard to see, but the herb should sit VERY close to the heat, almost touching (sometimes my herb does make contact and stick to the screen, but usually only when I pack a huge load.

I usually poke my screen up from the bottom so it's too far up, then use the E-pik resting on the inner stem wall and push down until that little notch sits flat (I usually work it down in a star pattern so it sits flat). I'm not close to my pick otherwise I'd measure and give you the accurate depth

Hurm, I just have been gauging how close to put the stem by how it came in the mail, so that must certainly be the problem!

Is this just your preference ? Or an actual rule of thumb ? This would definitely be a good thing to include in the directions.

Edit: even better why not ship it at the correct distance ? You guys just threw me a curve ball...haha

Not quite sure TBH - the basket screens are adjustable for a reason, but everyone seems to find the best results at that distance.

The reason for the distance variations is because it simply takes time to install properly. Remember this is a one man (and now woman) show. They don't have a huge staff packing and shipping orders with someone dedicated to installing baskets in the stems.

Though I agree, that information should be listed somewhere useful like the info page on the EV website

Keep in mind im asking this with hopes of improving other people's experience with this vape. I would like to point out the directions are alot better then other vapes ive owned in fact some directions that come with vapes are the complete opposite of what actually works(pax).
I received a printed peice of paper with lots of info on the e-nano , (use less then .05, start at 6-6.5 then turn up to 7, draw speed vs temperature control) I was simply pointing out that its a little puzzling that it would mention these things and not screen distance.

So a while ago i was at @biohacker and tested out his Nano, it is a newer version than mine but not the removal cord one.
It worked like a beast!!!
Outperformed mine on every level for some reason.

Next logical step was to talk to Andy about it and see if he could help in any way.
I was told to send it in for a tune up and away the Nano went.

I received the box from Andy tonight!
And what do i find when i open the box???

A BRAND NEW E-NANO WITH REMOVAL CORD!!!!!!!!!!!!

This was totally unexpected and i was thinking i would see my old friend again but it was not to be!
I now have a beauty that is heating up as i type, ready to be broken in by some serious testing tonight!!

I also ordered some accessories and they are awesome!!!
The glass is super thick and heavy duty!!!!
