I was over there watching the jet thread, but started looking over here and the steele has really caught my attention. I believe less is more, and this looks like, and being a footer is great for carrying around. Has there been any new news going on right now @Steele Concept?

@iwien that's what I meant lol. Carrying around with a soccer bag. With it being SS and polycarbonate, I don't have to worry about it breaking.

Idk if this has been brought up, but if anyone wanted to purchase a SC for under 130. You should check out tubesale.org

I think they're a part of tube lab, but they sell the SC and TT with cosmetic problems. Meaning they're ugly!! Jk lol

They have a scratch here and there, but functionality is perfect.

Yeah, the only thing that can break is the downstem. Just givin' ya an FYI that this thing is not light.

I can sacrifice a little weight for durability. I'm just sick of breaking all my glass. @lwien do you use the SC? And if so, how is it for vaping?

Hey @Steele Concept

I just received my SC from tubesale.org. I was already aware that there'd be some minor cosmetic issues, but my SC came with a broken downstem. I also didn't receive any SS cubes. IMO wondering if both companies are the same, and if you could do something about it?

Thanks

EDIT: we're good to go now

@TNT_error huh? I didn't even know about Tubesale so I can't comment on that, perhaps they are affiliated with TT? At any rate this winter we should have more tubes in stock folks, tubes are now made by Transformer Tubes and shipped from Colorado - land of the legal herb!

Yeah I think you're right @Steele Concept, but everything was resolved and the SC is working great. If its a bent tube, count me in.

Kinda funny story. Yesterday I dropped the SC from 6 feet onto tile. Not only did the SC pop right back up, but it only showed a tiny chip at the base. The downside is that the drop fucked up my tile haha.

Good to hear @TNT_error. I'm glad everything was resolved but my apologies regarding your tile... Look at the bright side though, at least it wasn't your big toe :)

I was curious and ordered some stuff.

It's just a mouthpiece, a base, and a grated connector with a single piece of steel ice, but it works pretty well, and is just tall enough that the nano doesn't usually become too much of a nuisance, though it helps to rotate the bong so the nano is a few degrees off to the side. I did get a milking tube, but that makes it WAY too tall (and I don't think the shorter tube would be a big improvement).

And this put me in the mood for some more stoner engineering. How's this for a way to use polycarbonate with vapes?

This way you could get the heft and the coolth (man, I'm talking like someone from another century tonight :p ) of glass, but if you break it, you can effectively get a new piece for $1 or less, or use a plastic mason jar for further durability. And as with the standard Transformer Tubes, you could add a 14mm glass downstem for use with a smaller *onG (or for combustion, but Fuck Combustion™). And yeah, it's basically a knockoff of the Matrix Ion/D020-D design, but that design works well. :)
