^^^^^ I've noticed pictures of all-silver Solos on various sites over the last year or so, but have never seen any photos of one from any FCer - and the Arizer shop don't seem to sell them - what's up with that?
I think you guys will like that, the all-silver Solo really looks nice. I'll inquire PlanetVape about the subject.

I used to have one of those all silver solo's a while back when they first came out. I ended up switching to black because I found the silver showed wear and tear super fast and started to look beat up.
If an all ALL SILVER Solo with silver face plate existed I would definitely buy another, but I have a feeling that Arizer switched to black face plates for whatever reason...and continues to use black for both model colours. I hope someone can prove me wrong though!
My all time favourite colour was the old school MATTE Black! And I think the COOLEST one i've seen was a pic in this thread where the paint was stripped right off and it was a polished chrome/aluminum looking Solo!

Oh well, guess those are old models then (maybe the site didn't update the listing's photos since the change). Thanks for pointing out the all-silver paint wearing off issue, I guess that's what makes this forum so special! I am at a crossroadsDon, Planetvape sells the PVHES mouthpieces for the Solo. Often they are sold out. It helps to open up the airflow for an easier draw. They are a sponsor for FC, look on the bottom of this page.
You need to keep checking on the mouthpieces because they will be available then they get sold out. I would buy at least 2 because sometimes, "oh shit" happens. Also they are expensive to ship.
I didn't ask if you have the older model Solo made before 2014? The one that cannot be used and charged at the same time. Or do you have the 2014 version that can be charged and used at the same time? The 2014 version has an easier draw. Some folks feel that they don't need the PVHES mouthpieces with the newer model Solo. They prefer the stock mouthpiece.
Which ever way you choose it's all good.
I can't smoke for at least 2 months. The polyps on my throat are not good and most be removed. The day surgery is on 10/2. I'm pretty scared but have been assured that it almost never cancer and that by taking it out it will do my voice a world of good. So I am on a enforced break but I am ok with this since I started doing more and longer breaks since the beginning of the year
Here's my question: I already have the xhale (which I have to put on a lower heat) but want to buy the solo sometime in Oct as a present to myself. I need the smoothest bubbler out there so I will take any suggestions. I have a good deal of AVB put don't want to do anything quite yet because I don't want to eat even eat anything until after the surgery. I don't really know how to make it or if it would work.
One just can AVB be mixed with some fresh herb to make the oil? Will I really feel this? I don't think eating it could damage my throat.
Should I just stick with the xhale. My best mom friends want to meet me in the beginning of Nov in DC to celebrate my year of no cigs and more moderate pot use (we all party but I'm the heavy one) for a girls weekend - hoping to see Stevie wonder perform songs in the key of life album during a short tour he is doing that stops in DC. The solo would be so much easier to bring especially with a great bubbler (I'm only going w water filtration from here on in)
I have been a little down since I did this to myself with cigarettes but I have totally quick that. It's been such a rough yr here; mom died last died; husband was just successful in beating prostate cancer; I just want to get thru this take my 2 months heal and resume my weekend relax. I don't drink do any other drugs. Is it so bad that me and hubby just like to get stoned and listen to the grateful dead hr on Friday nights

Damn i gotta say after a year i'm still loving my solo! It's a M1A4 model and outperforming a newer model solo of a friend...
It's like mine is running hotter and the extraction is better also we both noticed the airflow of mine is less restricted..
Tested both of the units out on a Mobius ion matrix with a PVHE GonG and a PA, and we clearly saw how my solo milked the hell out of that GonG.
I already told him he could send his unit back, he still has a valid warranty, i can understand he doesn't enjoy vaping that much with such a unit..

First off ,
Good Luck with your surgery and healing .
Have you thought of making a drink ?
There's lots of talk in the Solo thread alone , along with a separate thread for cooking with ABV .
Some like myself just dunk the resined stems in a Hot cup of Black coffee to remove the
majority of the resins and drink it . You'll noticed little globs of oils floating around . Using milk/cream with high Fatty contents will help mixed the oils together .
Ingesting it really medicates you with more of a Body stone , I find .
If you have the option of using Fresh herbs rather the ABV , all the better .

If you are looking to ingest unsmoked(un vaped ) herb, you will want to "cook" it a little in the oven or toaster to decarboxylate it. This changes the THC chemistry to make it bioavailable through eating.
Just research "decarboxylate" in the search bar.

I'm not sure what the OP thinks, but I sure don't think that's a good plan. Eating raw bud gets you sick, not off. No matter how much peanut butter. To be effective the herb has to be heated (225F?) or it won't be absorbed by you. ABV has this done automatically, of course.
I suggest you use the unfortunate down time to lurk with the eatables guys?

Thanks so much. I don't mind being on a break for a while and I told my hubby that the solo is my present to myself when I am completely healed. Edibles - I just don't know where to start but I do have a lot of AVB that I have been saving to try to make canna oil with

I think it worth mentioning that while peanut butter is very common, it's not necessary. What you need is eatable fat of some sort (like the peanut oil in peanut butter), but butter, (whole) milk and a lot of other stuff does the same function. Peanut butter is just more convenient in many cases?

I have recieved PlanetVape's response. The picture of the all-silver is an old one, and they only carry the silver units with black face plates. They will restock very soon on them FYI.

Just wanted to follow up on this post:
Well i just received my Solo back from M&M Specialties (company that handles Arizer warranty claims in the US), and its a brand new unit, M1F, so I was right that mine became defective though they never told me what the issue was exactly. In any case its on the charger now, will be nice to have the old reliable back. Even if now I have plenty of others that are fully functional as well. In the end it cost about $23 total and took 2 weeks (well, maybe 3 or so actually since first Arizer gave me the run around with questions back and forth when I already described it in detail the first time, and clearly was correct that it was faulty). So all's well that ends well for now, hopefully this Solo has a better lifespan than my last two. They must have worked out any kinks with the new model, and now I hopefully have a fresh one that's perfect!
hopefully I'm home when it gets here
