My standard MF batteries after only a few months of use, where only charging to 1750 mAh on my Powerex C9000. Yesterday I did a " analyze and refresh" mode on them and today the batteries are at 2300 mAh. Wow what a difference. I recomend this charger to the daily user of LB.

okay, wow. I had to come back on here and repost about this thing.

I just wanted to say i received my MFLB about 2 or so months ago. The first time i used it, i ended up burning the herb. I didnt know how long to wait before inhaling, or how fast to inhale. Eventually i got the hang of it. Ever since i burnt the herb though, its ran a little slow i think. I dont know if the batteries or charger i received with my unit were disfuctional or not, but i typically had to wait about 4-6 seconds before pulling, and then pull as slow as i possibly could for about 10 seconds to get a pretty regular to small-ish hit.

Today i purchased a c9000 charager and powerex 2700mah nimh batteries. At first they didnt fit, but i stripped off the label, and they fit perfectly. I put the battery in, expecting it to be slightly stronger, so i inhaled right away just in case.

holy. fucking. shit.

so THIS is how this thing is supposed to work. Seriously. Night and freaking day. I honestly cant believe how much of a difference the powerex batteries made. Not only do i no longer have to pull super slow and super long..but i no longer have to wait 6 seconds initially to start pulling. i've sped this puppy up 6 fold, and the quality of the hits and the amount of vapor per hit is proportional. Its amazing!

I've been using mine pretty heavily since I got it with just the stock batteries. I have noticed I've been needing to slow down my draw a lot more than normal to get a heavy hit.

Guess it's time to jump on the C9000 Charger and powerex batteries eh?

The sad thing is, I kind of feel like I should have gotten this before the EQ. The freedom of being able to walk around while vaping is too awesome.

Everything you say is almost certainly the fault of your batteries and not the LB. Get some Powerex or Imedions.

I feel the same way, Gim. I'll be doing the same I think. I still love my EQ, but this little box is too fun to resist.

Are the powerex 2700 batteries high discharge or low?

kind of ridiculous that i have to buy expensive batteries and chargers now

a plugg in battery type unit would be very excellent but 70 dollars is a lot for that. they need to release this soon.

also for the MLFB owner i suggest you make it so you dont have to press in on the battery as hard. also sometimes i need to twist my battery to certain position for the light to come on.

Do you have the new version where you need to push the battery for your whole hit? If you do, you can remove the black O ring from where the battery makes contact with the copper. and see if you like that better

How much do I need a Coffee Grinder over a 4 stage metal one?
If I take 4-8 hits a week do I bother with a fancypants charger?
Is it worth it to get 2700mah batteries?
Can I load in .05 g's of ganj at a time?
What is the minimum amount of ground ganj I can load in at a time?
Can I smoke part of what is loading at a time like in a bowl taking multiple hits or is it strongest on the first then successively worse?

Thanks for any help ahead of time!

A coffee grinder is much easier and hassle-free, also grinds to a much finer substance, better for the box. I say if you can afford it, it's worth it (I recently switched to an electric coffee grinder and it rocks).

If you don't toke often (not daily), then some low self discharge batteries would be better, like Eneloop or Imedion (the ones that came with your box should be good too).

Yes, you can load 0.05g, and it will work fine, the only drawback is that you have to use the same amount of power from the batteries as you would use for a full trench.

Are the powerex 2700 batteries high discharge or low?

the 2700's are high self discharge.

I'm not sure I understand the question. You can smoke the ABV, but it's said to be very harsh, it's better to eat it.

Like, will the second and third hits be as potent as the first? When you smoke out of a bowl, every hit will be the same potency until it's cached (if you hit it the same and there aren't orange hairs present on greens).

I think your reference to "smoke" is what makes your question confusing. There should be no smoke at all, just vapor. Here at FC we tend to frown on combustion

To answer your question, the first hits of a trench will be the most potent, however you should get several satisfying rips before your herb is spent.

Ah, I see. Well, as said above, the first 2-3 hits will be the best, but if you take out the herbs after that, and crush it to a finer powder, then you can get 4-8 more hits, that are pretty good too.

i'm really not sure. Its whatever batteries plus had for 15.99$ for a 4 pack. came with a carrying case. 2700mah. packaging is blue yellow and gray. i'm sure theyre just whatever the regular type is.

i'm really super bummed. directly after posting t hat post i dropped my MFLB and the light broke. still works. but i think the light helped when showing it to people that werent sure how exactly it functions.

You should send an email to the manufacturer. I'm not sure if a busted light is grounds for a warranty replacement since the unit should still function ok, but it can't hurt to ask, right?

It's really not fair to say that you need to buy expensive batteries and a charger, simply because you don't. The LB works just fine with the stock charger and batteries. Your complaint is like saying it's ridiculous that you had to replace the stock tires on your car with high quality all-weather rubber. Of course you didn't have to, you did it to improve your driving experience. It's not a must, it's a choice.

magicflight has already announced that beta testing of the AC adapter is about to start (might already have for all I know).

How much vaping gives you guys good results?

I usually get like 6-9 5second hits off a trench, 1 trench will get me pretty high, its filled like 3/4 somewhat fine grind.

I am still gettin some spots darker than others, meh. i hope it becomes more even soon. i have a technique down that never allows it to heat up too much.

I am extremely interested in purchasing the MFLB as my first vaporizer but I would really like to skip the batteries and get an AC power adapter because portability isn't very necessary to me. Since this is my first post, I won't be able to purchase an AC power adapter until 2011 right? bummer......

If portability isn't necessary why not get a specifically designed at-home unit?
I know the MFLB can excel as a primary or sole vape.

Been loving my box since I got it. The screen keeps slipping down but I have been able to pull it back up with tweezers, don't think I'll be able to do that much longer.

My unit came with the black ring around the trench and the push-back ring for the battery. I ended up taking the push-back ring out a week ago, at first I really liked it in contrast to a buddy's box that didn't have it, but as I use the box on my bike pretty often I've found the cushion to be a little hard to press.

Definitely gonna spring for that nicer charger this winter, stock charger and batteries are doing fine for me now.

Yeah Elluzion,
One trench filled almost to the shoulders gets me totally baked!
On vacation at home two trenches would be good for the whole day.

At first I used the LB for the fresh stuff, but recently I've been using
the LB to revape my AVB summer stash that was first vaped with my
vapir 5.0 at about 375 f.
The AVB is light brown, and I can turn it dark or even black in the
LB. This high is very narcotic and helps me sleep like the dead! :lol:
