Okay so I cant seem to make one very well :/

Are there any actual products on the market that do the same thing? I really want something like this for my Solo.

Edit: If none exist, I would be happy to pay someone to make a good one for me :) (although I would prefer to buy one already on the market)

What's going wrong? It's easy enough when you get some details right. I can guide you through if you want. No products in the market afaik...

I can't get the cap to melt properly to insert the GonG, and I can't seem to seal the bottle with the bag very well. I really wish there was some piece that was already made that I could buy lol.. not much of a DIY'er..

This thing is all DIY though and that's what's mostly cool about it. It's almost free and it works wonders.

Have you seen all the pics on this thread and the comments on how to make one? Ime you will need an iron skewer or screwdriver to melt the cap of the bottle slowly with circular movements. The bag is easy if you follow a pattern to place the tape pieces. You start with opposing sides and then you tape the gaps in between. One, big piece of tape only at the end to wrap it up. Check the pics again. They are pretty detailed.

Oh, and water bottles are the best bottles for the job imo...

Yeah, I've checked 'em out. I honestly have no idea how you would use a screwdriver to do it.. I got my stove running, let the screwdriver sit in the flame for a while, and there was NO way that it was having any effect on the cap hahaha.

This is the coolest vaporizer accessory I have seen in a long time!!
Thank you for the tutorial, I am going to make one ASAP! :D

Question: Is it possible to make a vapor lung that has the same capacity as a Volcano balloon?

Thereotically, you could make it any size you wanted. You'd just need to get a big enough bag and aptly sized bottle to accommodate the bag. I'm not sure how big the valcano bag is so unfortunately I can't point you towards a specific bottle or bag. Turkey bags might work though.

I combusted out of my Vapor Lung a few days ago so I gotta make a new one to get rid of the stink. It was a nice one to. I achieved a perfect air tight seal on the bag by using a piece of string (twine, rope, string whatever you have will work). After I taped the bag in place I tied a string as tight as I could close to the edge of the bottle. I used double sided tape to keep the string from slipping to make placing/tying it easier. I then taped over the string to cover it up and keep it set nicely. It worked amazing, I was never able to get it as close to 100% air tight as possible before I did this.

Thanks so much for the Vapor Lung idea @natural farmer, it has helped me tremendously. Less pressure means less headaches and dizziness for me!

Can you fit the cap for a stem instead of a GonG if you wanted?

Also, is it necessary for the seal between the vape and the cap to be super air tight, or can there be a little amount of room around the sides?

NF is right....you need an airtight seal preferably.Silicon tubing works best for lung bowls .measure the diameter of the heat port on say you're hammer.i think its 5/16 on the hammer, order some silicon tubing.cut two inches of tubing or so and drill a hole in you're cap slightly smaller than the outside diameter of you're silicon tubing.

wiggle the silicon tubing through the hole and insert a screen.you can cut you're screen to shape with an old scissors.do not blunt a good pair of scissors

You're good to go.i love the lung.it is truly amazing. @Alan from Hi sent me one with my hi order many moons ago.its fun & i still use it a lot.i have since made a few more.they are a little fiddly to make but become second nature after a few tries.

Best of luck

What is the purpose of the (18/14) GonG reducer in the context of VL?

The glossary says
GonG - Glass on Glass, usually referring to tapered ground glass joints for glassware

So I guess the purpose of a reducer is simply making the size of the stem outlet smaller. Why do we need it for a VL then?

Hey @groker, the purpose of the reducer is just to provide a standard fit for many vaporizers to be able to be used with a VL and also to make the whole ritual of using one much easier. I used to use my VLs with a Solo and a GonG Solo stem. So it was much easier to attach and detach the Solo this way.

In my first vid in this thread I am using my first VL without a reducer. I had to unscrew the bottle cup every time to take the hit cause in order to have an airtight connection the stem had to fit very snuggly to the cup. Not so easy to use, trust me. The GonG reducer made everything easier and simpler. The VL was a joy to use with the Solo. I would still hate to draw from a Solo with my lungs, the VL is much better at this!

Love this thread! Was in Indonesia once, on the gili Islands, smoke galore over there not that great and no vaping but it is island paradise. Found an old pipe with a removable cone, made a waterfall at the backpackers there. Ended up a celebrity most of the spliff smoking British and Europeans had never smoked a bong let alone a waterfall! Got over filling it with water so started just drawing from the bottom hole to fill like a third lung.
Made one up now just using a black rubber grommet to seal some silicone tube in the cap. Silicone fits over the arizer air stems black tip and VG tip.
Waiting on some flowers to die so I can highjack their vase, history tells me this thing works great as a gravity/waterfall bucket. $1 1.5L cheap drink bottle at my local super market fits in snug with like little room around it. No tipping and rolling around.

Love everything third lung, waterfall, gravity and the likes! Great stuff!
My person fave method is a waterfall/grab combo. Three waterfall sized holes in the bottom, place in water light (or now obviously engage vape however it's done) slowly pull up, remove from water take off cap and inhale. Put back in with cap off read to go again!
Also another win to vaping, now that I have some nice torches for my VG these are wayyyy better for making these devices than bic lighters!

It was a long time since I last used a Vapor Lung but this last week I finally got off my ass and decided it was high time I tested one with the Omnivap...
Reason I hadn't used one for some time is cause I generally owned vapes all this time that weren't good matches with a Vapor Lung from a practical point of view. Like Vapman for example, or Milaana, or the Project. It was a perfect match for the Solo back then though and now it seems it's an equally awesome match for the VapCap as well!!!
Can't stop using it for the last few days!:love::love:Pics and videos will follow when the provider decides to finally connect my internet line! :p
So far I feel it takes a VC session to another level, closer to desktop performance... Better taste and aromas, faster and easier extraction, bigger clouds and the list goes on! When in home Omni and a VL is the perfect vape session so far in my 7 years of vaping partake!:nod::nod: :love:

any news?
And why is the vapman a bad match?
I planned to use one with a vapor Lung.
(I own a mflb, a vapman and im at buying a vaponic)

Another question regarding the construction:
- after filling the bottle with vapor, I remove my vaporizer
- do I have to hold my finder on the opening to seal it? (so that the vapor can not leave`?)
- if so: is there a way to "lock" it, like the Volcano bags do`?

an easy way to do something similar is a gravity bong on a vape. hook the whip to a 2l bottle cap, cut the bottle's bottom and rise it very slowly water will pull a perfect hit if you raise the bottle without raising the water level in it. watch out for spill though

edit . just saw the nice one at page 4... still gotta try with a 4gallon in a pool and with a huge bucket

Vapman couldn't fill the bottle... Too weak? Haha

Finger works great for me so far! ;)

Man, a vapor lung is so much more practical than a gravity bong... Hehehehehe. Would hate a gravity bong in my bed! :p

Oh and....

you use yours in bed? sure aren't going far for a wake and bake LoL

Instead of a plastic cap I used a cork off of a scotch bottle and drilled and filed a place for my second "M" and another for my butchered Yocan iShred. The original lid broke too easy so now I use the top of a dead sub-herb black that was used way over wattage.

It's primary place is in my bucket-T-bong, nice seal and super easy to remove from the bottle and for those that need training wheels to stop sucking water, a table tennis ball in the bottle
(gravity bong still feels weird to type/say and reminds me of what ya's call a waterfall bong)
