That's a mistake in the manual we have to fix as far as water level, since the splash guard is adjustable that suggestion needs to be more specific.

As far as Okeanos specific kiss carts, you can tell them apart from the center pin on the bottom. If that center pin has a hole then it can be used on the Okeanos.

White orings where changed to red orings, so your good.

As far as water being pulled down is because of two reasons working together.

1 our messed up water level in the instructions and since the water level was to high a slightly blowing into it will reverse the water flow and siphon effect kicks in and pulls water down.

Hope this explains all your concerns.

It does. I adjusted the splash guard down a little and it works better. Thanks for the quick reply as usual.

This signature required shit just kinda ruined the weekend. For a simple oil coil the USPS just rang my doorbell at 8am. By the time I hobbled my busted back down the stairs to the door they had taken off with my oil coil because I couldn't sign for a 10$ part.

Super incredibly frustrating to have to be home to sign for something so dirt cheap, especially when I routinely get expensive packages left for me. Combine that with the useless tracking from USPS and well its a horrible user experience. The USPS is very difficult and unreliable. Now I'm wondering what happens to my oil coil. It gets shipped back and I get to pay again to try once again to get it from a garbage delivery company? Waiting for a signature package from USPS is basically like saying take a 3 day span off from work and sit at the front door.

Super disapointed that this means I STILL can't use my W9 stuff. As a result there will be a ThermoVape demo at hempfest for a large group of patients who are expecting me to demo the best of the best oil vapes.

I hate to say it but everything so far has been MUCH more difficult than it had to be. $200 or so and almost a month long process to try to get a complicated device set up to vape oil. I'm gunna start pulling my hair out soon. Yeah it was inconvenient to send my cera cart in for a rebuild once, but at least I got to use the thing!

Really w9 PLEASE consider using some better shipping methods. I knew having to be home to sign for every package I get was going to be a major hassle. In this case alone its costing a HUGE publicity loss because I can't demo a product that I can't use. I won't suggest a product to other patients if im having miserable luck myself so far. I keep hearing how great it is but between the DOA charger, complicated everything, missing parts, shitty tasting EO carts and constant revisions to things I'm seriously left wondering what other potential problems I can run into before I finally get to try this vape out.

If this herc setup isn't the 2nd coming of gozer good, then I'm going to be HUGELY dissapointed.
I know this is too late, but in the future... What I do when I'm not going to be home is leave a signed note on my door or in my mailbox depending on package size saying I know I have a package coming needing to be signed for and can they please leave it at back door or in mailbox and then sign and date it. Never had an issue

Hey @THC SCIENTIFIC, what brand batteries do you recommend for the 8? I remember seeing a recent post about protected batteries or something. Could you tell us pretty much the do's and don'ts of battery combinations with the 8?

Hey @THC SCIENTIFIC, what brand batteries do you recommend for the 8? I remember seeing a recent post about protected batteries or something. Could you tell us pretty much the do's and don'ts of battery combinations with the 8?

I recommend AW brand from trusted sources.

The unit comes with a protection circuit and it is required to use the 8.

You take full responsibility when using the 8 with or without the protection circuit.

That's about all I can say.

I'm confused, you said the unit comes with a protection circuit and is required, but then you go on to say you take full responsibly with or without the protection circuit...

What gives? Does it work without the protection? I thought that's what a mechanical mod is? Why do you word it this way, seems very confusing to word it the way you did.

Great Scott!
Hes trying to assume no risk for stupid people doing dangerous things. I understand that, but I don't know what I'm talking about enough to know the risks etc. In either event I'd stick to the suggested batteries always. Usually they are suggested for good reason.

That wording is all about CYA for the company. It is a mechanical top. Basically that means if there is a short circuit the battery can overheat and possibly cause catastrophic damage (fire, venting, explode). They don't want to be held liable for someone's mistake/carelessness.

Could I buy one of those silver rings for the persei? I would love one for my core, I just keep a hammer top on it. Just about to place an order for an okeanos and the new kiss globe coil.

Hi, I am new to the whole vape pen world and after a lot of research, I chose to go with UPTech. My first purchase was the OPHOS with a spare Ti KISS cart and I received it earlier this week. I have been using it all week and it works great. Nice quality, great flavour, decent battery life, and very easy to load. Now that I have decided that I like these vape pens, I would like to get another higher end/higher capacity model. I am thinking about a Hercules 71/8 combo maybe with a Nibbler XL down the line. Any word on when the 8 will be available G? Also, is this the best option? I want the most powerful flagship model, dont want to buy again for years, and want the unit with the most new and coming options and add ons. Thanks G and keep up the good work.

The 8 should release end of month for sure. It will be the one you need.

@Soflo it's all legalities. The reason is the circuit board is removable and the fact that the 8 can run without it means we can't take responsibility for anyone's bravery.

Can we expect a performance difference between a persei top and 8 top at the same voltage? im not hip with this protection modulation lingo

I'm pretty sure the only thing that you can count on with the "8" is: Mash button and full battery voltage is delivered to the attachment. No " low battery blink." No 5 click on/off. No short circuit protection (aside from the "fuse chip"). No regulation, just GO.

The 8 will give the end user full control from top to bottom.

Here is a funny idea I have been testing 11v vaping with the 8 but again I take full responsibility of my actions and no way you should try that.

2.5 ohm load

11v

4.4 amp load

50 watts.

Ya that's how brave I am.

Great products and service guys but, I have some constructive criticism for you and of the rest of the folks at UPTech if you dont mind G.

You need better descriptions of how your products work and how the units and their accessories work together. Its hard to figure it all out, especially without this forum. You need clear explanations of what batteries each model use, how to run HV(which battery combos, which tubes, exc.), better descriptions of features, which accessories work best with which models, suggested use(button timing, duration, draw speed/velocity, exc.), exc. Also, your site as well as your authorized dealers sites should always list product versions(example: Omicron V1/V2/V2.5 Persei V1/V2/V3/V4). Another thing that would be nice are combo options for people who want to buy a battery kit and some accessories(example: Persei/SR74) and/or offering just the battery section without a cart/case/cord or anything for people who just need a new OPHOS or Minicron battery section without all the extras due to a tired battery. You guys should also sell TiG2 Kiss carts by themselves without the mouth piece and heat shield at a reduced price for those who dont want to rebuild and just want disposable carts. Whats the ETA on more TiG2 rebuild kits by the way? And, your bubblers(OKeanos, Nibbler, exc.) should have optimal water level lines along with the company logo on the glass(a baseline fill level for people to know where to start). O, one more thing, your carry cases are nice but, need top foam in them to stop the unit and attachments from banging around when being transported.

Just trying to be helpful guys. Keep up the good work:tup:

Well I understand that it has a larger range, but if you set your core at 6.8v and use the persei vs the 8, is the output the same?

I am new to shatter/vaping. I am running a persei with the Hercules 74 and Nibler XL. I don't think I am using it correctly. I end up with a lot of shatter in the bottom chamber and also up at the top screen. Anyone know what I'm doing wrong? Can anyone recommend a video or instructions that show me exactly how to load and use this combination? Thank you.

@invisiblefriend I would love to see that video.

Still having trouble unfortunately. Still getting a lot of oil in the lower chamber. I am pausing to cool between hits. Not holding the button too long. Also getting oil splashing up into the screen. I suppose that's from inhaling too hard? Not sure what I'm doing wrong... I end up having to clean the whole thing between loads.

Cool down is key, are you holding the button down for the length of the hit? and how long are your hits?

This question is for THC SCIENTIFIC or anyone else.

I have an Omicron Lite and a 5 pack of TI KISS Carts. They have served me well over the last month however the TI KISS carts are not holding up to cleaning in an iso bath very well. The little cups are coming out and the units no longer function. Thats a lot of $$$ for something that only gets about a week usage before being cleaned and then having a 50/50 chance of falling apart after cleaning.

So I either have to fix this situation or I was thinking should I be upgrading to something better like the Persei and SR-74? Can the SR-74 be fully cleaned and put back together without so easily breaking? Can the SR-74 be used with small amounts of wax throughout the day like the smaller vape pens or it is for massive hits and larger amounts? I really don't want to increase my usage.

When is it coming back in to stock and can you guys recommend all the essentials and accessories I will need to take care of and use the SR-74/Persei?

Not only can you easily break down and clean the SR-74, but it's built to last a lifetime and its predecessor, the SR-71 is one hundred percent user serviceable. You can take either small or large hits, but the SR-74 requires a buffer of about .2 or .3 in order to function as it was designed to. Basically, you saturate the titanium coil with .2 or so, and then anything you load on top of that will be what you're vaping. Production will fall off as you start to vape the buffer, so make sure that the coil is always saturated.

As for what you will NEED to get up and running, purchase an up to date Persei, a Hercules SR-74, and a few sets of AW 18350 3.7v batteries. I'm huge on water filtration, so I would highly recommend getting a Nibbler-XL bubbler attachment as well. If you really want to kick things up a bit though, you could try the Core as well, which is a pass through system that will allow you to not only use your Persei without batteries, but offers variable voltage as well.

EDIT: It's also important to mention that the SR-74 is much more forgiving than a KISS cart, meaning that you can throw just about anything at the Herc and it will vape it without a problem: wax, shatter, budder, co2 oils, water hash, pressed hash, keef, and even flowers and oil at the same time.
