I literally bought an Extreme Q as my entry in vaporization (2 years ago now). Within a week or two, I bought the Cloud (original) and never looked back. The Extreme Q (imo) doesn't even come close to the Cloud / Cloud+ / Cloud EVO.

You will be very happy! :-).
I also bought the extreme q 2 years ago and it changed my life, i completely stopped smoking and I feel much better, so I decided it was time to get myself an upgrade.

Has anyone received a new quartz VXN that didn't look like a new design, but rather the same exact design as on the left, below? Either they changed the design or I was shipped the wrong one :ko:

Thanks but I don't live in a state where these are available. I think that even vaping can cause irritated throat. As long as these get removed and are benign then I should be good to go on a limited basis by November. That sounds like forever even though I am very used to going without for many days/weeks. What a drag it is getting old
The EVO's vapor can definitely irritate my throat if I have the dial past about 1 o clock. Usually the irritation is pretty mild and is not nearly as bad as smoking outright, but with sufficient heat I can feel temporary discomfort.

I'd recommend either vaping at lower temperatures, or finding edibles. I know you said you can't get any in your state but if you hunt around online, there are...ways...of getting edibles safely.

It's pretty impressive to see that so many people are getting 2 week turnaround times, even Canadians. I'm no expert but that seems really fast compared to quite a few other vape companies out there from what I've heard over the years. It definitely adds value to it since as long as the company stays afloat, you should be able to get it repaired quickly.

I've been switching between dabbing on my SCS OmniNail with my Mobius Matrix Clear and taking VXN hits through it and I've been noticing the differences between the two a lot more. To preface it I have a high tolerance, I dab about 10-20 tiny dabs (0.03g) a day, maybe on average 3-5g a week. The VXN hit captures the flavour of the oil a lot better, the vapor is softer, and I get 3-5 lungfulls from it. The high is more of a creeper but I feel like I get higher from the VXN compared to dabbing using less amounts. With dabbing it's more like ripping the bandaid off quickly, like pain the high hits you like a jolt but I find it levels off quickly. Using the VXN, the high is like slowly and painfully ripping the bandaid off for 10 minutes.

Just got mine (and my repaired EVO) in the mail. They look like the two on the right. I am really blown away at how cheap and flimsy they feel for 50 a piece. One of them arrived broken and the other one has a line of pitting on one side of it. debating whether or not to use that one or wait and just ask for a new 2 pack. The one that isn't broken looks pretty rough, lots of scratches and marks where it looks like it rubbed against something. Have not tried them yet but definitely a bad impression out of the box.

My EVO arrived a little more than a month after being shipped out. Seems to work great but now there is a very noticeable rattling when i move it around that was not there before. Anyone else experience this?

Thanks for the info and how do you get it safely. When I start again I'm never going higher than 3:00

Even with the 10% Worldreefers coupon and frequent sales, some of their accessories seem to be priced higher than you'd expect them to be. I'm sure they have their reasons and hopefully they'll come down over time as their finances stabilize, they were close the going under just over a year ago afterall. For the custom glass like the VXN's there's no 3rd party options so they'll lose some sales from people who can't afford it and/or don't see the value, some who can't really afford it will still save up to buy it. Saving on shipping costs also makes up for it a bit if you group your order. The only thing I think that's priced abnormally high is the silicone tubing, with 10% off it's priced at $6 a foot (and only in 1.5 increments) vs PlanetVape which is at most $1.79 a foot and you choose the length.

Everyone is having problems with their EVO? No, just a few with RMA issues that have voiced their issue here. Fortunately there are many that from time to time chime in stating how their EVO's are working brilliantly. You don't want to have to send it back?? Well, then you will be stuck with a non-functioning EVO, otherwise you're better off to buy something else. The EVO is a high end fairly fragile (IMO) vaporizer. Know what you could be getting yourself into....your EVO could work flawless right out of the box for a long time, or you could be sending it back and waiting 2-4 weeks.

mine worked fine but had a resin buildup i couldnt clean which made it start to smell - only reason i sent it back

How did that happen? Using the VXN? You tried a proper bamboo ISO soak? I assume that you are getting the bamboo replaced?

For the record I've had ZERO issues with my EVO after 3 months of heavy use. I've also only lost 1 VXN so far and that was entirely my fault, they've withstood some minor abuse too or the death count would have been higher.

Remember, those are the minority. There are plenty of people who have had no issues, they're just not always posting about it. The only reason I've sent mine in is because I knocked it off the table and cracked the bamboo, completely my fault.

Don't worry. Load an ELB, sit back, and blow some clouds. Guarantee you forget any worries you might have had ;)

how is the one nail broken? I just got a couple of quartz nails as well, and one has a little scratch on it which sounds similar to your scored one. my repaired evo should be here Wednesday (a tiny crack had formed on the first donut ring inside the bamboo)

There is a post a ways back about ISO soaking the inside using a balloon on one end of the bamboo. I do that to mine all the time and it works great. Just blow in there beforehand to make sure your bamboo is one piece. I had a cracked bamboo so I just always check now.

Hi folks,
This is my first post, but I've read this thread somewhat thoroughly in the last 8 months or so.

I got an Evo in February and love it. It's been everything I hoped it would be. Fast forward to about three weeks ago: overheating, glowing orange in the bamboo.

Fine, I think. I submitted a support ticket, sent it (gladly paying the shipping fees), and I received it back at my home on Thursday with some wristbands and a slip on cover to boot.

Then, last night: I heated it up on 12pm for 10 minutes or so, took a hit, turned it up to 2pm, took a hit, waited a three or four minutes, smelled something not quite right, looked down into the bamboo, and it's overheating again. Same symptoms. So, I turned it off immediately. I don't know what would've happened if I, say, went into another room for 5 minutes or so...would I have returned to the living room to find a melted hump of former Evo? Damn it.

This is happened two days after I got it back! I'm frustrated to say the least.

By the way, Roth, nice Slasher Flicks album cover there. pbvsgr is coming soon, too!

When you say it was overheating and glowing orange, how intense, and how large a section of the bamboo?

I know if I've had my EVO at 3pm or higher for a bit, when I turn it off, I can definitely see an orange glow in the bamboo where the heater is wrapped. The glow is always confined to where the heater is. I'd never see the glow at the top of the bamboo.

Is this what you're seeing, or something more along the lines of what the international users were seeing?

And thanks @OakenCipher, didn't know if anyone else was into them and/or Animal Collective. In regards to Panda Bear...seeing him tonight! Saw him at Austin Psych Fest this year and he killed it. The new album is going to be great. Only a few more hours til I see him again. And I dig the Spacemen 3 pic too ;)

In attempt to get this back on topic, I will be enjoying my EVO tonight before enjoying the sounds of Panda Bear ;)

I got my Evo in this past week and love it! I would say it definitely outperforms every vape I've tried. This thing is on another level. For those that have a vapexnail, is it worth it as opposed to just putting concentrate inside the ELB? I'm trying to decide if getting a nail and tube adapter is worth it

If you're at all interested in concentrates, and you already have an EVO, DO NOT HESITATE to get a VXNail or two. I have yet to try the quartz version, so can't compare the two.

There is absolutely no comparison between the VXN and stuffing some shatter in a wad of cotton in your ELB.

You won't regret it. And personally, I'd probably look elsewhere for an adapter then from VapeXhale's site. They seem to be really expensive, and don't even offer the version I'd need.

I got mine from Oregon Glass Blower, but you can use whatever you find is cheapest.

@Roth, it's not intense like it was before I sent it in, but I turned it off quickly so I don't know how intense it would've eventually gotten to, if it would've gotten worse at all. I'll try it again to access it further.

It sounds like what's going on with my unit is the same thing that happens with yours after having it at 3pm for a bit. Your description is spot on: a glow confined to the heater area is exactly what I'm seeing.

About tonight and those guys in general: awesome. Enjoy!

For those interested in some Vapexhale accessories I just ordered some stuff from VaporWarehouse. They have a FALL15 discount code they emailed out for 15% off. It is free shipping for anything over $25. I was not planning on buying another hydrafoot but for another $17 (after discount) to my existing order why not. You can also buy the essential oil attachment one at a time, hydrafoots, dry mouthpiece, ez load bowl 4 pack, or buy a swagger side circ with discount.

I've found sandwiching a glob between flower to work really well, but I'm about to go for it anyway. Looks like it conserves a lot.

That website seems exactly like what I need right now haha thank you!

Definitely monitor it to be sure, but sounds like you could be experiencing normal behavior. Like I said though, my glow is always confined to where the heater is wrapped.

If I've had my EVO on max for a few minutes, burning off the VXN, it can be a fairly intense glow, especially in a dark room.

Good luck, hoping nothing's wrong.
