I placed the 3M hooks around coffee table edge and string whip on those. I have E nano on one hooked to extension. The controller is easily available and not banged around.
Why multiple vapes? Do you have a tool chest? Many different tools for different jobs but many do same work . (pliers, monkey wrench and so forth)
Me I have no problem seeing Buddha as party vape. Nano for daily. NO2 for at computer. Everyone serves a different purpose.

If you patiently sit and stir you can get 20 hits from a bowl. Start low 11 on dial. 5 wispy hit full of flavor. Turn to 12:30 and get a dozen hotter steamier hits. Finally to 1:30 and 5 more knockout heavy hits before that ole popcorn taste.

I'd love to see a picture if possible.

So it appears that this is a collection thing, people collecting vaporizers and if that's the case I totally understand that. Me being a dirty stinky combuster from way back have a collection of over 60 zippos all displayed in a magnetic glass case. If someone asked me why do you have 60 zippos I'd say I collect them.

Sorry, no cell phone or camera here. It is a 2 ft long 1 ft wide 2 tiered coffee table. 2 hooks on front (long) 1 hook on back (short side). Whip strung on back and first side hook. E-nano control draped over front hook. TV controllers on top with 3 tiered teak spice holder with meds. Lower shelf all tools. Cotton swabs, chopsticks, dab tool, 7th floor pick and duff jar.

And it ain't about collecting. It is about accumulation while on an adventure. If I like something I keep it. If I don't care for it I can't sell it. I know it's flaws. So I pile it or loan it out.

Same here.
I use the vapes that do not serve me well as loaners for a large community of patients.
Different delivery systems affect us in different ways so there is nothing wrong with changing it up.
I vaporize more often than hourly.
I can easily use a dozen vapes in a day.... and still have taken a dozen hits from my favorite vape (my SSV).
If I had to narrow myself down to one good vaporizer to use as a plug-in at home....
...while I admit that the SSV (standard HC/handheld wand) is my favorite, the Da Buddha would make a formidable choice!
Since I like the original DBV Oil Rig better than the SSV one due to its "perpendicularity", If I was limited to ONE unit... it very well could be the DBV!

DBV is my daily driver. I vape as needed for nausea and chronic pain management. When I am in so much pain I can hardly imagine functioning, and I have no patience for anything :mental: it comes to the rescue with almost foolproof operation and clean, simple design. It is wonderful for taking care of my needs. The gg connection is really great, I don't find it to be terribly uneven, but I'm not vaping starting at 3:00 where I would be able to easily see.

Some folks just like to collect and learn as much as they can about a subject. Collecting is a fun and valid hobby. As for me, DBV is a strong design and could easily be my only desktop vape ever and leave me happy and contented to have it, but I have other units for travel and they are wonderfully helpful. I could see myself getting others in the future as the technology progresses and I learn more about the different units. Some are great for the slow and low roasting I prefer, some are good for quick extraction and delivery when you just don't have time, and some offer better herb conservation.

Personal reasons for my multitude: With my DL I was clueless about quality differences, and I ended up a couple due to reckless ebay bidding on my part.. I was just after stealthy and inexpensive-- what I got was flimsy, a pain in the butt to use, and scorched more herb than it vaped. Contrarily, both my models of DV are excellent stealthy little portables. Having two allows me to always have one charged and ready for adventure (plus the Ascent was a lucky prize). Also I sometimes enjoy using a vapor lung, so I would probably enjoy having a unit for bag usage one day.

If I could afford to do some sort of mod it would be like an ELB or something that would block the herb from the ceramic element, because I am not immune to accidental blow-back. I combusted tonight :disgust: when I laughed at an inopportune moment and now I must wait for it to cool so I can clean it up. Mindfulness can help reduce such occasions, and practice with your technique will further help.

I get many hits from a 1/3 to 1/2 loaded stock DBV wand, but I don't count my hits. Basically I hit the same load until it stops hitting whether one session or several, then I save the AVB and powder it for baking. I usually start 11:30 on the dial and enjoy two or three fragrant tasty breaths. I dial it up to a solid noon and stay there for a while stirring after several hits and then raise incrementally to about 1:30 stirring more frequently. If I am being really thorough I'll hit it a few more times at 3:30, stirring constantly. Sometimes I have a 5 minute session, sometimes it goes on for quite a while (like a several episodes on tv -- even a movie or two if I am feeling wild ).

i JUST got into vaping herbs bc i recently WON my 1st vaporizer that worth while off FB, DBV! im stoked w it, think im still learning a little.. i recieved my DBV w the dang ceramic rod all the way down! so i had to take off the heater cover, pull it up carefully as much as i could and doing this puts it literally about 1/4 of an in. from the top of the heater cover. is this good enough for good vaping?? i mean it seems ok... but then again, im new to it besides dabbing. but thats as high as it will stay, ive tried getting it higher up many times and something its connected to wants to keep pulling it back down.. and i havent gotten a good technigue down yet.. ive found that i set it at about 130 w half a bowl and just keep it there, i get about 4 SUPER fat clouds, which to me feels better then trying to get like 10+s hits bc that way i notice i df dont feel it as much.. and also, i here ppl saying they actually conserve more herb vaping?! shoot, i dont. atleast yet. im using the same if not more, which i think it is, a little more each day, then when i was only snapping bts.. thats the ONLY thing that is not getting me ABSOLUTELY hooked w vaping... i literally feel and see that im having to use more herb then when i just snapped t's.. but i still like it, and am hoping i get beter at getting for hits?! i was hoping its not to do w how low my damn rod is, bc it wont go any higher, but it will combust the herb if i wanted it too, so i dont see how thats it, seems to be plenty of heat/power... i get WAAY more medicated packing a half bowl and just getting fat vapor rips, but like i said, if u just keep it at like 130-2 ish, u only get like 4 hits, but there FAT! soo far, i cant get medicated better then that technique... any ideas/help much appreciated.

Are you stirring?
yeah, i stir inbetween every hit... i just cant seem to get MORE out of the same amount of herbs u know... i hear these ppl sayin they get like 20+ hits of a bowl...?! and im like whaaaaaaaaaa?!?!?! lol

ps- vitelo- "Since I like the original DBV Oil Rig better than the SSV one due to its "perpendicularity", If I was limited to ONE unit... it very well could be the DBV!" i was just wondering what u meant by "og DBV oil rig?" sorry, noob vape questions... im just trying to get the most outta my vaporising experience, bc right now i can ONLY vape when i up bc it takes me so much more herb for the bowls. i conserve herb more through snapping ts, which kinda sucks bc i want to get into vaping, which i still am and will, its just not as efficient as i thought itd be, or i havent gotten it down well.. i dunno.. so far, between like a half bowl w maybe 6-8 lite hits is what i can het at a lower setting, like 12, but at like 2, i get thick clouds of vapor fast, but only get about 4 hits, although FAT RIPS.. so far those fewer fatter rips have been getting me higher.. i dunno. only have had it about 4 days..

1/4 inch will work, but keep in mind that every unit is different and you may find you'll maybe need to run your heater higher than others might for the same result.

yea, i know, and have heard this. so ill remember that 4 sure. most ppl say it seems to take a week or so to get their "technique" down, ive only have it 3-4 days, still tryin. but cant seem to get better then just the like 3-4 really big rips, but that takes like half a bowl in my whip! :o

Also, anytime I change the location of Butsu (my Da Buddha) in the house or take it on a trip in it's padded case, I examine the height of my heater before I plug it in. If it has slipped more than halfway down the mouth of the heater cover, I take off the glass and pull the heater up gently, as you have been doing.

hmmm... yeah. well ive heard a lot of ppl love these vapes and SSV's and i won it so my only 2 choices were DBV or the extreme Q and i just wasnt feeling what i was reading about the extreme q and DBV it so much more durable and simple, which ='s less problems!

Those mods will work the same with a DBV and may help you conserve. As far as getting 4 hits out of a half wand, it's hard to say without actually seeing (material and technique), but it seems like more would be possible.

You made the right choice with a DBV over an EQ though I believe. Good luck and happy vaping!

mines up there, and i cant get it too stay up any higher with out wanting to get pulled back down, if i were to guess exactly, its prob 3-4mm from the top of the heater cover, that seem ok? and the last 2 times ive vaped, i keep it at about 130-200 o clock and the abv will look like tobacco pretty much by the end, and ive noticed stiring every iht makes each 1 HUGE... im gett ing FAT rips, i just am not saving a whole lot of material like ppl say they do, but i guess thats all to do w ur tolerance.. and i like to vape/smoke/dab a lot
When I got my da Buddha I really didn't save any material. I just went through the same amount as combusting but I was getting high more often and more times throughout the day.

its just not as efficient as i thought itd be ...
Big hitting whip vapes don't encourage using less. They hit big so you tend to use 'em that way. If you want to use less take smaller hits, wait until they take effect, and consider whether you need more right away or not. If you have a big mug of beer you still have the choice between chugging it or sipping it, or anywhere in between.

this is true, i notice vaping is more of a creeper... the 1st 2 times i vaped w DBV, i didnt think it was working as good as it should, likw most of us at 1st, so i smoked like 3 halfs bowls in 1 sesh sitting and oooh man, twice, thats laid me ON MY ASS! hahah i get what u guys r saying. makes sense. its what i figured, if i want the FAT RIPS OF VAOPR, its just going to use more material at a time im guessing, causing it to not last as many hits, or u can pack the same half bowl and turn it down a little and prob get, say u get 4 hits of fat rips, id prob get 6-8 light rips if i turned it doen and ripped it.. but to tell u the HONEST truth, i get WAAY more medicated from the bigger, fewer BIG rips, dunno how most u guys feel bout that...

How often do you clean your whip? How do you clean it?

I usually clean my screen and wand with ISO every few weeks, or as it gets clogged. But I have yet to clean the whip because I am afraid ISO will ruin it...

How often should I be cleaning the whip?

How often

So today I turned on my buddha and I noticed the ceramic heater had and white dot on it. It flickered and I turned it off, now I can't get any heat from it. the light in the back still turns on. What have i done??? Now I don't think I have a warranty since I bought it off craigslist.

So I got a call from 7th floor today. They'll be sending me a repair kit today, they expect it to take 10 days. So I was forced to combust for the first time in 6 weeks. OMG that's disgusting, it's official I am now a vape snob. To answer my own post from a couple weeks back asking why people had more than 1 vape. I get it. I can't wait 2 weeks, 2 weeks of inhaling fire can't do it. I think I'll go get a Solo today. Must have back up vape. Kicking myself last week one of the fc sites has unboxed solos for $55 and I thought I'd pick it up after work. But they were all gone when I got home. Now I'll have to go to my local head shop and dish out $200 :(. I'd love to get one online at a better price but I can not combust ever again. You have ruined me forever. Thanks ( not sure if that's sarcasm)

Best $200 you'll spend in a pinch for a great vape, I have my 3rd solo on its way, apparently I like to drop them. I used it everyday, it's not a backup for me, it's my morning/afternoon vape, but this is a Da Buddha thread, I'm also expecting this vape in the mail this week. Super excited, I really liked the Lsv, and have always wanted a true whip only vape, and I hear you can't get better the Da Buddha or SSV. I enjoyed the whip on the herbalizer, extreme q is awful in my experience , it's just not a preferred method and herbalizer didn't really change that. Hoping to enjoy whips from a dedicated whip vape.

Can someone please explain to me how I could use oil in this with cotton. The cotton does not burn if I put the oil in between layers, correct? How much cotton should I use? How hot should the buddha be approximately? I usually vape around 12 or 1 with flower.
