Alright..... enough. @DonDizzurp you have stated your problem and your dissatisfaction with the product and company and that's fine. But we have a rule here that you have now stepped a bit heavily on:

Don’t attack products or companies. You can post your opinion, and you can criticize, but posts written to offend are not allowed.
  • Please do not revisit an issue unless you have helpful information or constructive comments to add.

Now... for the rest of you who have egged him on without hitting the report button? Knock it off; you're just as much to blame.

Now, If I have to speak to any of you again? Warning points will be issued. Make my night... :whip:

1. It's CLEARLY not the same. The other one didn't have a huge plastic melting problem. It's the conclusion I jumped to because that's what were talking about. I don't understand why you're getting so offended for him.. How are you contributing right now? By attacking me like he did?

You don't come into a 2010 Ford Focus thread and start talking about your 2005 Ford Focus because it doesn't apply to the situation.

2. It is ridiculous.

They are being full of themselves. He is clearly unconditionally supporting this product and the PR rep is doing the same while blaming the customer for the design flaws rather than acknowledging the problem and working with users to find a solution.

Facts =/= name calling

And if sarcastically calling someone a GENIUS after he attacks me personally in his hostile post offends you then.......

well in an effort to not derail this thread any longer... my apologies if i came off in an attacking manor. that was not my intent. i understand your concerns with this vape. i agree with it in principle. it is concerning. but i dont agree with the way you post about them. thats all. in fact a mod just posted...
Let's not forget about the 'be nice' rule while we are in here.

anyway, again my apologies. welcome to the forum. if you want to continue our conversation via IM i would be more than happy to oblige.

now back to the 05s regularly scheduled programming.

Make my night... :whip:

Has anyone tried to use the USB cable with other devices? DON'T! The USB cable that came with my kit not only doesn't fit the INH05 (or any device!) very well but is a two wire charge only cable => garbage; so I chopped it and used it to collect the data I reported about current in to the INH05. So the photos you see below show the charge current when off and peak current surge when heating...

And data was same with all chargers; big or small....

Enjoy!

So this measurement was taken in series....very nice posting very informative....... pretty much undisputable proof of what is now going on with our having these over the top crazy charge times...

I'd really like to see what the previous XP model came in at..... don't suppose you have one of those too or know someone who does....

Nice post....:peace:

Hello my friends!
I have been using my INH05 for a week or so now.
The units I have recieved have been working flawlessly. I love the size and weight of the unit. I have been mainly using it between temps 5-8. The INH05 has been working great for me, no battery or burning issues at all.
I figured I would give my opinion of the unit for you all.
Battery life is awesome!
Heat up time is ridiculously fast!
I am using shoulder capsules with a small 1/2 piece of silicone over the mouthpiece to cool the tip down a bit. The capsules are super easy to fill (I generally fill them up 3/4 full).
Pros:
The flavor is amazing
Heat up is super fast
Battery life is awesome
Unit is super stealthy
There is a temperature setting to satisfy everyone
Used with the water tool adapter and F-bomb is absolutely amazing
Unit weighs practically nothing
Can be used while charging

Cons:
Lights are too bright IMO
Temperatures take a little while to get dialed in to your preference
Mouthpiece gets hot at higher temps (silicone on the mouthpiece fixes that)
Vapor is a little hot at times but the F-bomb takes care of that
All in all, I am enjoying my unit very much.

I know there have been some problems with units out there, but when inhalater works out some bugs, I think you will be very happy with this vape.

I will have a more comprehensive "review" of the INH05 soon when I recieve my glass and aero capsules, along with a few tips and tricks that I've come across.
Thanks for taking the time to read this!

Well I have had mine a week now and let me just start by saying this thing is nothing short of a "Monster" I often referred to my beloved Q2 as a "Beast" well this baby is by far a monster.... it extracts vapor like crazy.... I found it very easy to over do it.... and having to dial it down to avoid coughing.....
It is able to produce very thick clouds....so if that is what you are after this portable delivers.....

Newbies and Salties alike can't get over how much comes out of such a small device.....and then when they see how little {to a smoker it is very little} actually goes into a cap.....tons of wows and amazings...

Now as for discovering that the heater housing had been changed from Teflon to plastic... I think it extremely important that there have been zero incidents of melting the Teflon....and really that's all I feel needs to be said on that.....

As for these crazy charge times..... from emails with Greg it would appear that these charger IC are from the same batch as XP's so clearly some sort of quality control issue being addressed there......

Now the rest of this review is going to be more for the Inhalater fan base although others might find it useful as well...... I'm going to comment / review on the evolution of this design....I unfortunately can only start from my beloved Q2 .... since I missed out on the INH0004 and earlier versions... I can only speak to Q2 2013 and later.....
I'm primarily going to speak to the designs performance and abilities to extract vapor and NOT about the few flaws that each revision has suffered.....
My Q2 produced very nice smooth vapor
My Q3 produced a very nice vapor also but felt a bit harsh on the back of the throat....
My Q4 again very nice vapor but feeling more of the harshness in my throat...
My Q1 pretty much the same as Q4 vapor wise...
My Beta 05 vapor seemed a tiny bit thicker and for sure taste got better....
My 05 Prod.... OMG the vapor is very noticeably thicker hotter even wetter feeling and the harshness has also gone up with all that.....it now leaves a noticeable bitter taste that I just can't seem to swallow completely.....

Now lets talk about experience {Buzz}
My Q2 almost identical to combustion without the extra garbage...
My Q3 was missing something....I blamed it on temp being too low....
My Q4 better than most vapes but still didn't quite get it....something missing {ended up using GF's Q2}
My Q1 pretty much the same as the previous Q4...just seemed to be missing that extra ?
My Beta 05 seemed to be a bit more impacting but something still missing....{used my Q1 & Q4 w/glass}
My 05 Prod its an ass kicker for sure but I still find I prefer the Q2 when wanting that kick back & relax

I like the ability to separate the experience when using either the 05 or the Q1 {prefer the 05}....... because I find it is much easier to manage and/or function properly on the lower temps saving the higher temps for later.....
The Q2 I feel it more closely resembles combustion because it tends to deliver a bit of the CBN vapors as it was getting too hot in certain areas inside the heating chamber.... you could still separate the majority but it still kicks you back some as well......:peace:

COME and GET SOME.......:whip:

I just received my replacement unit (Thanks Frederick, very fast!) I sent it back with no battery or capsule as instructed and it came back with both a battery and capsule!! This thing pumps! It's working flawlessly and as far as any issues with pulling out the capsule while hot? None, Nadda, Zip, Zero issues! I love the stealth, and weight factors and the heat up time is very fast! It kinda does remind of a blunt hit with out the combustion! FUCK COMBUSTION! :science:

Question to Inhalater
i dont own inh05 yet but plan to buy it
reading here about the melting issue and charging time ,
For charging time , 150 ma measured here is very low for charging 3000ma battery. Is there a reason for using such low current? The unit should be able to charge between 500-1000ma at least depending on source.
The melting issue , as i see most users never experienced this even not waiting for 2 min cooling time. So my question is how did it happen ? I mean under which conditions melting is possible ?
is it abusive usage of several sessions with no cooling time? I am really curious about this , thank you

It may just be me, but the more I use the INH05 the better it seems to work!
It sounds crazy, but my 05 just seems to work better and be more enjoyable the more often I use it!
And at 84 grams with a fully packed capsule, little silicone MP tip I made, with the cap on!
I sometimes forget I'm even carrying it!
It grows on me more and more every day.
Great product Greg!
You guys at pharmacor did not dissapoint this guy!

I'm sorry to see others with battery issues, I hope they all get sorted out.
I haven't had a single problem with it charging in a timely fashion.
The battery life has also been outstanding!
Just keeping you guys updated on this little gem.

By the way, I took a drill and drilled a hole into the side of a shoulder capsule. Instant air capsule! I wonder if 2 holes would cool it down more at higher temps with a water tool..I'm sure I'll find out sooner than later and let you all know!

Well it took over 40 days to finally get to me, despite requesting a refund of my money.

The pluses are the compact size, incredibly quick heat up times, great vapor production, great battery life and medicates very well. I also like the capsule idea.

The minuses are the hot on the throat vapor. I can see why many hope the glass capsule/pathway option comes to fruition. The overall cheap feel to the unit is so obvious. The cheesy stickers used for the dial and manufacture stamp are a joke. Seriously, for $250 this is the best Inhalater can do? The usb cable is garbage.

I have several other portable vapes in my possession that are in active use to make a comparison. Notably the Ascent and FireFly. Both of these offer a much better vaping experience than the INH05 for a similar price point. Build quality of either is light years ahead of the INH05. Taste is also far better by a long shot.

I would return it to @Inhalater for a refund, but they don't offer that option.

Much better options out there for this units price point in my opinion.

Crazy to see such differing opinions on this vape. I wonder if theres still an issue regarding QC.

I will say this, you have to pack the INH capsules well to make the most out of the vape.
@PAZ I agree. There is a 50-50 love hate ratio with the 05.
I think it has a bit to do with a slight learning curve. At first I was frustrated and the vapor seemed a bit on the hot side.

I am using shoulder capsules while I wait for the air, aero, and glass capsules which may have had something to do with the warm/hot vapor.

I drilled a hole in the side of the capsule above the shoulder and that helped a lot!

I then cut a 1/2" piece of small diameter silicone, stretched it out with needle nose pliers and slid it over the mouthpiece making sure not to cover the hole I drilled.

This made a huge difference in cooling down the vapor, mouthpiece, and making it much more enjoyable.

As for loading the capsule, I fill it to the top without packing the herb down load it in the chamber and this seems to work very well for me.

As for weight, I love how light it is because it still performs great and you barely notice it in your pocket.
The 05 is made very well IMO and definitely has a niche in the portable vaporizer market. It just take a little practice to get used to.

As I stated before, when used with the water tool adapter and the F-bomb it takes the 05 to another level.
So far my battery has been stellar and the ABV is perfectly uniform.
I for one am happy with my 05 with the little mods I did. I'm sure I'll figure out better ways to use it as I go along which I will be sure to share.

I go where the thrills are

The "kit" version comes with five "hygienic" (love that word) tips that are essentially a pre-cut version of your mod. I haven't tried one yet, but I'm sure they alleviate the overly hot mouthpiece issue.

I agree this thing is a damned fine vape for a lot of reasons, but as you say it's also a niche device, useful in certain circumstances and, for me anyway, less than optimal in others. But again, on the go, out of the house, this thing is pretty much perfect.

I ordered the 05 right after the Indigogo campaign ended, and I just got it several days ago. My thoughts are:

1) Communicating with the company was difficult.

I asked to be included in the Indigogo deal even though it closed. Some guy wrote back and said ok, but I never heard back. I just placed an order on the site, for which I received 2, I believe, emails saying "product shipped", which were not right.

2) The unit is not that well made.

It feels somewhat like a cheap plastic flashlight. I feel that it will definitely not survive any meaningful drop. The stickers on it with the logo and the numbers markings are somewhat flimsy. Does not feel like it will stand up to years of use.

3) I don't like the capsules.

The plastic-like film material is not confidence-inducing. I also feel that it can break easily. The top of the film seems to be taped together with some heat-resistant tape, which again, does not scream longevity. The flexible capsule also makes it significantly more difficult to load and unload.

4) Battery changing is not a real option.

I tried to see what it is like to change the battery. The cap is difficult to remove. Once removed, a small round circuit board with a ribbon cable is exposed. It is not a process I feel comfortable performing while completely clear-headed.

5) It heats up super fast.

So fast that it makes me think that the other portables I own must be doing something wrong.

6) The mouth piece is too narrow and gets quite hot.

It causes the intake to "jet" into your mouth. I had almost burned myself several times by drawing a bit hard in the beginning. The plastic mouthpiece also gets uncomfortably hot after some use.

7) Very portable, USB chargeable (though not quickly).

Taste is not bad, but given the difficulty to load and reload on the go, I am not tempted to take it with me everywhere. Generally, I feel that it can still be improved quite a bit. As is, it is only a passable product.

Sorry if it repeats some points covered by others. Hope this helps.

I change the battery every day. It really is an option. If you find it too difficult maybe you're doing something wrong although it was only your first time, and I think it loosens up after that and you get used to it. in time you will change your mind about #4 IMO.

Actually, loading the capsules is quite easy, even when out of the house. Just simply place the capsule mouthpiece in your mouth and inhale the ground herb into the capsule. I have found that this is one of the easiest vapes to load.

:leaf:Inhalater05 Review:leaf:

Here is a quick review with some pictures and some small mods I did with my Inhalater05. I hope you find some useful information here. Lets get to it!

First impression:

Very simple.
Very light at 83 grams with a filled capsule and mouthtip.
Very easy to load capsules and user friendly.
Lights are way too bright. I took off my logo and covered the lights with black tape from the logo.
Charging leaves a lot to be desired. Many hours for initial charge. 3 hours after a few capsules.
Replaceable batteries which is very nice, being able to charge the batteries in the unit or in a battery charger.
I like the micro USB and it is solid in the unit.
I did not have a temperature chart (I got the bare bones) so I called Greg at Pharmacor and he emailed me a temp chart with celsius to Fahrenheit in under a minute.
Thanks for the Great customer service Greg.

Here is a newer, accurate, temperature chart from Pharmacor for those of you that don't have one.
I was told by Pharmacor the temperature chart in the manual is not the accurate temperatures for the INH05 model.
1 150/302
2 164/327
3 178/352
4 192/377
5 206/402
6 220/428
7 234/453
8 248/478
9 261/501

I filled the capsule almost full, but more loose than packed. Apx .17 grams

I started at temperature 5.5 apx 420F. It only took 22 seconds to heat to temp! I waited 30 seconds to let it get to temp as I do every time I start a session.
Instant vapor. A bit warmer than I prefer, but tolerable.

The unit itself felt like a magic marker. It really is very light. The weight may bother some people, but it is very durable and functions great.

At setting 5.5 I took 2 five minute sessions, 5-6 hits each session including warm up and waiting. I got great taste and good vapor. Increasing throughout.

At setting 6.5 apx 440F. It only took 27 seconds to heat to temp. I took 2 five minute sessions at apx 5-6 hits . The vapor was little bit warm. I think it would have been almost too warm had I not put the tip on the capsule.
The taste was still good. Good increasing vapor production.

Then I finished off the capsule at temperature 7.75 apx 460F. It took 30 seconds to heat to temp. It still had good flavor, but the vapor was getting a bit warm for me. But I'm a low temp guy.
The F-bomb cures this issue, but I wanted to test just the Inhalater 05.
Taste not as pronounced, (it had been through several sessions) but not too bad considering. Good vapor!
I got 5 hits with good vapor and called it a day. It was getting too hot for me without a water tool.

Here is the hot capsule pulled directly after the last session.

The ABV is uniformly brown.

My personal opinion of the Inhalater 05 is that it's a little beast.
It really does perform despite its size and weight.
The vapor is definitely warmer than most portable vapes IMO, however the chamber is very close to your lips. That being said its not that bad considering.
The 05 is extremely simple to use.
IMO those who vape at higher temperatures would compare it to a super portable SOLO.
Cleaning it is a breeze. I use a safety pin that I bent the tip with needle nose pliers.

This allows you to pull the screen out of the bottom of the oven with ease for cleaning. I use a pinnacle pro brush to get it nice and clean under the screen as well.

All in all the INH05 is a great portable vaporizer with great taste and vapor.
The batteries are simple to change if you wish to.
The unit is so small and light you would never think it performs so well.
The LED lights are annoyingly bright, but can be covered with black tape and fine.
The charge up to temp time is ridiculously fast.
The taste and vapor production are great, however the vapor itself is much warmer than I'm used to personally. I told this to Greg and he said he would send me out some mouth tips that are longer I believe but cool the vapor down a lot. I like my little 1/2 silicone tip because it fits in the chamber with the top lid on.
This is a fantastic little powerhouse of a vaporizer. Used with the F-bomb is amazing. I have not had any issues with my unit at all. I really enjoy the INH05, especially with the F-bomb. As I stated the vapor is warmer than most portables but there are several ways to remedy that.
Also, the customer service is fantastic.

I will soon have a review of the INH05 with glass capsules, as well as a step by step battery replacement article with pics.

Thank you very much for taking the time to read my review.
I hope you found the review informative and helpful.

Where's the temperature specs? I have numbers on a dial that I don't know what temp each number is.

Filled the capsule just over 3/4 loose.

Instant vapor. A bit warmer than I prefer, but tolerable. I'm not sure of the temperature I'm at, I would guess somewhere between 370-390 maybe? I have no clue, very frustrating.

Seriously? I've never come close to combustion on 9, let alone 8 or 7. These seem high, based on my experience. Perhaps these are the temps on the melting plastic units...I really don't think I'm getting temps anywhere near this high.

@mitchgo61 That's what Greg told me when I called Pharmacor.
Perhaps there are units with different temperatures out there. It wouldn't surprise me.
I do agree with you @mitchgo61 I do not think my unit is that hot.

I wanted to be as detailed as possible so I got the temp chart from Pharmacor.

IMO I do think my units temperatures are closer to the manuals temp settings.
I don't vape at high temps and it sure didn't feel like 460F, however this is what I was told.

With the air capsule I use the unit on 8, but with the regular one , i never go above 6!

I agree my friend! I did not receive my aero, or air capsules yet so I drilled a hole in the side of my shoulder capsule and it made the draws much cooler.

I just had a session with my 05 and I started on 3 this time with the air-shoulder-capsule....Freakin amazing taste, but little to no visable vapor. I am highly medicated right now so I know where to start temperature wise.
What great flavor!:p

@BarnBoy pointed out to me I put 1.7 grams in my review, which was actually .17 grams. sorry about that, it has been fixed. Thanks @BarnBoy! Good catch!

I'm going to have to do a review at lower temps with the glass capsules. That's where the flavors at. I should hopefully have the glass capsules by the weekend. (Thanks Greg!!!)

Thanks everyone.
