Most batteries have protection circuits on them. but now with these new coils that get hotter things are changing, I am on the hunt for batteries that don't have protection circuits in them and will be phasing out the ones in stock that i have been carrying for over a year now, I have these new mods that I will put some pictures up here on FC tomorrow, these fire the donuts and the duals too,, this mod is a telescopic 6-14watts and 3-6v and will fire sub ohm mods. it also has a ohm reader, I will offer 18650 & 18350 efest and sony batteries both high drain. I noticed the more i load in any atomizer the poorer tastes and flavors i get, imagine taking a tenth hit off a pipe that all your friend's hit first. Not good!
why not pack fresh hits .? it's nice to pack and go but once the wax is brought to a certain temp it changes chemically with each hit. say you pack a gram(which would be a huge dab load) , the first hit you would get the terpenes from the entire gram and the second would be something else and with each hit you will get different flavors all getting worse. it's like turning the gram into residual resin and smoking a 1 gram resin ball until it is finished.

OK, so, the only reason a battery with protection on it (low ohm shutoff) (as you said, most batteries now have this), is if the ohms on the coil are EXTREMELY low, like under .8 or so, and/or if the coil will damage the battery. This is why they put the 'protection' in them now, because running that low of an ohm coil is dangerous to the battery .
Also, if your batteries have ohm readers, chances are they have low ohm protection too, I'd check.
Finally, I do agree with your philosophy of LAYGO, Load As You Go, meaning, 1 dose at a time. This will ensure the best taste and proper burn of your oil. Also makes for cleaning your coils so much easier. Moreover, as you say, the chemical components of the oil change drastically with heating.
So. The reason I am commenting extensively is, it's also in line with my 1st post in the thread, where I stated I ordered some coils from Divine Tribe and my batteries would not fire them.

Sorry to reply so late, been very busy and distracted. Also sorry to Divine Tribe for not making a phone call, I've been working heavily during the daytime and haven't been able to call.

My suggestion is to raise the ohm resistance of your coils so that ALL users can benefit from them without having to buy MOD batteries etc.

All the best !
P.S.: ( added later, edited ) ... why are we increasing the heat of the coils, don't we want to savor that flavor... personally I vape oil at 3.7 volts or lower so i get that taste and smooth smoke, who wants to cough and waste their stash with super hot coils ? Just a thought. Blessings.

What is the usage like for the new 2000mAh High Drain batteries with the donut atomizer?

Will it be able to fire the donut when it is functioning at one of the lower voltages?

the mega 1300 is not ideal, it will not fire the dual coils or the ceramic donut, please take note. pics coming with ads this weekend on my site with three more mods that will work with sub-ohm. I also have a new dry herb vape coming in at the end of august. I designed this myself and I am almost finished working out the last quirks. It works like a champ and evenly vapes the herb. It will be 1/3rd the cost of the leading portable dry herb vapes and give better hits with a guarantee.

Any update on this? Any suggestions for best compromise in the meantime, anyone?

AT high charge they put out 4.2v then it drops down to 4.0 then to 3.7v
I have used it to fire the donut at medium charge and it works great but not at low charge,

the dry herb vape should be out soon (trying to make a 510 cart but at the moment it takes 7.4 volts to fire the ceramics in the dry herb cart, need to check on the production )

,,, what is coming soon is the v2 donut, It's all ceramic and I am not allowed to show anyone pics until i have it in hand :( ,, smaller chamber, easier draw, only metal is in the 510 thread..

What is the max voltage the Donut atty can support?

To be clear can I use it at 6v (T1 tube) or 7.4v (Persei tube)?

Thanks

I can't get really big clouds as my Dabbler or Kiss cart with the provided battery but it's nice on the go cause you can load 0.2-0.3 and get lot of puffs with decent taste.

Couldn't edit my previous post at this point in time, sorry.

I saw on the site that the ROBOX is still out of stock, now until September 8th due to a shipping delay. I'm assuming this means the restock which was supposed to happen on August 31st got postponed in shipping/transit.

Do you expect the v2 of the ceramic donut to come in on September 8th aswell? Do you have any thoughts on the v2's durability?

i am pretty bummed they just told me the end of Oct on the v2 donut release. i am going to do everything to get it here sooner, i think that is kind of ridiculous ,, the Robox and mega batteries were delayed by my supplier and will be here this weekend. i really feel now that this ceramic technology is here, it is going to explode soon. I hope to be first to get this tech out to the people.. my supplier told me he saw atmos at the ceramic company. so they are gearing up to. I have used many suppliers but one in particular works with me more, on design and prototypes.. it seems it takes a lot of persistence to get them to do what you want. I will keep on persisting...

Do you think the v2 donut will be fragile if most of it is made out of ceramic? I don't have much experience with ceramic.

this is going to be a 3 part kit,(1 mod battery, 1 dry herb atty, and 1 v2 donut atty) you just switch out attachments is the goal.. this dry herb kit will be all ceramic and 510 fitted just working on electrical issues.

this ceramic is going to be glossy and very hard. Once I release it I will get all the safety and data specs for materials used out as well.

Damn I have been sleeping on this thread what a mistake. You have been busy @divinetribe great job

The temp settings on your battery...... why dont you make the current temp you use the medium temp and have the manufacturer change the temps on the other two settings. This way people will have more temp control then just clicking the oven on/off like a mflb. IMHO I could see trying to do a lower temp session being a bit annoying to hit that button 50 times one session.

The packing tool would it be worth it to have the packing tool changed to a stirring tool. Instead of a flat plunger it could have spikes on the end that rotate when depressed to stir and break up half vaped chunky herb to expose more surface area. This could make it much more travel friendly I think. Hand broken up herb doesn't always vape the best via conduction, but this could potentially address that issue.

Look forward to your progression great job Matt

thanks for the update, divinetribe. what will the cost be and when will we be able to see photos/videos on the final product? I ask this because i'm in the market for new vape and you're on my list now lol. so i have a few choices available but what makes your product stand out with the other devices in the thread candidates section?

Looks like my water piece will be getting here today, a day earlier than expected! Considering it shipped Saturday from the other side of the country, that's amazing.

Great news because my 1300 evod twists off Fasttech should arrive today aswell.

Thanks Matt

Well.... i hope its just the co2 wax i used because the hits i were getting were not up to my qualifications. After putting a little in at a time i but in a big gum of wax because i was not getting much vapor at all. i it i of the c02 wax.

i dont think it is a good idea to have a battery that shuts off after6 seconds. The wafers need longer warm up time. There needs to be a battery that can be on for a longer time in order for the cermaic donut atty. to work properly

In my experience the more stable the better, in the donut. Crumble is perfect. It has been noted a few pages back that more liquified material would not produce as much vapor. The donuts great, but the issue is finding a battery that will run it right. Check out the robox it has more to power the donut.
