Cancer spread to my lungs

I find personally I prefer vaping over any sort of combustion as I can literally feel my fleshly pink esophagus be burnt by the harshness of the smoke. I find I might get more baked with a joint but maybe that is just the effects of the carbon monoxide from the smoke. None the less I believe that should be a balance between natural medicine and more westernized medicine - not too much of one extreme.

But then again, I have no experience in the matter and it's just my opinion - just do what works for you!
But i will say vaping over smoking if you are worried about the damage to your lungs

I need some help. I have polyps on my throat. I bought the evo for just that purpose and thru July I was only using it on the weekends. In may I had an ent checkup and they were small so my dr was ok with my consumption. I just went back on Monday and they have gotten worse so I have to have them removed. Obviously I am on a total t--break and am having the surgery in the beginning of Oct.

I know I have to be good till the end of Oct but I am so afraid I will have to stop completely. I only do it on the weekends and I don't want to give it up. I thought vaporizing was suppose to help this. I am doing it thru water filtration. Has anyone ever had this experience this. It's my only form of relaxation. I don't drink, don't do anything else. I don't think this is cancer and I am confident that I will get my voice back. I'm just so depressed that I finally started vaping and now it's all going to be taken away. I don't live in a legal state but I have been saving my AVB so I guess I could try making the oil but I don't really know how to make edibles.

Is there anyone out there who can help me. I know my tolerance will go down.

    Any thoughts.

It is alot less convenient than just loading a bowl but I say make some edibles and keep them in the fridge. You still get to enjoy herb but wont be taking any risks. Seems like the most reasonable compromise.

I know you are so right. I am a really good cook. I just never did it before. Should I test it out with AVB
I have read enough to make the canna oil I think

Its easy man, with fresh you cant mess it up. Better technique just comes out better. The hard part is learning your dose, be VERY conservative in dosing! And also mix it really well so its consistent. You can even use oil on the stove and not even strain it. Or you can even just throw it in the oven with your favorite cookie dough or put it in a brownie.

I agree with many who have previously given their responses about consuming edibles.....as a thought bake some brownies(this is the old school way of enjoying but you do get benefits and relief)with non-ABV and see how you respond. It will save on your throat and give you a sensation of well-being. I had my first brownies 44 years ago and the pleasure derived was well worth the effort.....

I know everything is different today and being new I have a lot to learn about today's methods of partaking and processing.....but you can never go wrong with good old brownies!!!

Party hearty and enjoy!!!

I'm a huge fan of edibles as well, even though the calories and sugar intake of brownies tend to be a downer for me. I have a buddy who is also a chef and has been making some pretty top notch edible infused products for his private customers using these edible containers. Since you've been making brownies for 44 years do you know of any edible recipes that have less sugar and fat than brownies?

Make sure you decarb your cannabis. Grind it fine and put in the oven on a cookie sheet. Oven temp, some folks say 220f and some say 250f so, somewhere in between would be good. Bake for 1 hour. Then put it in your oil or butter, cook on low or add to your your fav recipe. Have fun and enjoy.

I'm sorry but I have never done or made brownies that did not have all the sugar and fat in them. And even then depending on how much herb you put in them there is no way to get over the taste but just eat them. Again I must stress that I am new to this new world of Vaporizers, Medical Marijuana and Edibles so I have a lot to learn.....

Personally I prefer all the sugar and fat...as to my theory, everything that tastes good has one of these elements or both in them and that's why it tastes good. Of course others have said that is not true and they of course are entitled to their opinions.....but you sure can not get me to believe that Brussels Sprouts taste good. My theory states, "the only reason Brussels sprouts were put on this earth is to make little boys and girls gag and puke!!!"

There...I said it.....LOL!!!
Take care.....Leo

I'm pretty sure that you need the fat to absorb the actives in cannabis.

I've been relying a lot on my own brownies lately... I dissolved a gram of shatter in a pound of butter, and have been using the butter to make the brownies. I get "Pamela's gluten-free brownie mix" and use the extra fudgy recipe. I only use 1/4 cup medicated butter (the other 1/4 cup is plain butter), and then I make 24 mini brownies. Each brownie has (estimated) 5.2 mg, which is an effective dose for me... I can have some pain relief, a little bit of noise reduction (anxiety), and still have a very clear mind for performing my job. or for anything else, really. If I needed more, I'd go full-strength, or 10.4 mg per brownie.

The really weird thing, is that when I make my own, they seem hella stronger than the "tested" ones at the dispensaries that are labeled with dosage info. a brownie from the dispensary has to be 12.5 or 25mg for me to really feel like it's working, plus, they are hella expensive. Usually $2.50 per (12.5mg) dose around here.

So, at a 1/4 cup per batch, I get 8 batches from a pound of butter. 24 mini brownies per batch. 192 servings from a gram of concentrate. at $40 per gram (I generally pay less than that) that's twenty-some CENTS per dose for me. If you make ultra strong brownies (12 per batch, full-strength) of 25mg each, that's still less than 50 cents per dose. plus your brownie ingredients & cost of butter.

Mini brownies are pretty portable, for me. I can pop one at lunchtime, and get through my afternoon easily. They last me about 6 hours (takes an hour to kick in, then 5 hours of relief), so I try to time my brownie intake to keep me level.

I make ABV brownies for at home, sleep, and when I don't have to worry about crystal clear thinking... I have no real idea how to standardize vs using concentrates, so I save the dosed ones for day time.

Of course, the medicated butter can be carefully measured out and used for topping food, taking by the spoonful, etc., to gain the same medication sans sugar...
