Like that Herbalizer adapter part.

Dumb question. What's the purpose/function of the rubber plug?

Tapered plugs are good PBW Soaking and Iso Scrubs - lets you fill your glass to the top without any air bubbles (important to prevent white rings when doing PBW soaks). I've also had a customer order a special low-profile pair for his PNWT so he could transport it pre-filled with water.

My second Herbalizer adapter is already at the printer, and hopefully will be fired in a kiln next week! I have a youtube video of the first herbalizer prototype in use, and it looks AWESOME! (First time I've ever designed a part for something I don't own). Hopefully I can some good news over on the herbalizer thread

Thanks. I was just cleaning my Mobius yesterday and ran out of hands trying to keep the thing full. I was hoping that's what they were for, plus I went back into this thread---sorry about not doing that b4 asking.

Excited about the Herbie bowl adapter.
Next stupid question-- is the youtube of the Herbie part available somewhere?
How soon do you expect it to be available for purchase?

Thanks

I'm waiting to see a milkshot video (only seen test run video of an HT on top both direct draw, and fan assist modes). I'll get a video posted to the official thread within the next few days.

My second prototype adapter should arrive within two weeks, at that time I'll make a decision if I want to order a single third prototype, or order a batch for a wave of beta-testers. If you are interested in beta-testing, please feel free to PM me.

I probably won't have them available for purchase directly on my store for another 6-7 weeks since there's a 1 month turnaround time for printing ceramic

wait... did you just say print ceramic...?

we need to talk!

Heh, indeed 3D printed ceramic parts! It's outsourced because I don't have access to such technology personally. But I do design the prototypes in plastic and add tolerances to account for the glazing process.

PM me if you're interested in any assistance. I suggest sooner than later, I seem to be getting more work than I can handle recently! I've already got several new vapes incoming over the next few weeks so I can start designing new accessories.

I can't express my gratitude enough to all of you. I never thought I'd be running a 3D printer studio this soon! Your patronage has inspired me to push the limits of my creativity and design skills to the next level.

Ratchett,
saw on the news tonight----someone just built an entire car with a 3D printer, kind of a publicity stunt
(in Cincinnati ? ).
They showed a timelapse sequence. It was one bigass printer.

Hey All!

Haven't forgotten about this thread! I've actually been hard at work (full time job) and with store orders.

I have a new color available for orders: Fern Green

Here's a preview of a new E-Nano PWM controller case. Available soon on the store!

My Herbalizer HT adapter will be available soon, two ceramic prototypes done, third one at the printers now. Keep an eye on the Herbalizer thread for full updates!

In other news I have decided that I NEED a milling/CNC machine to further my 3D Design Studio. I am currently saving for a small machine, and hope to have one within the next few months.

Probably looking at a Shapeoko2 CNC to start which will limit my build heights to 2 inches, but that should be more than enough for some really awesome custom stands and accessories! (Can we say exotic wood from @Snappo ). Maybe some nice and sturdy Hydrotube stands while I'm at it...

-----------

Edit - Just saw this news article and HAD to post! - http://3dprint.com/13362/hewlett-packard-glass-3d-print/ - HP is looking at making a 3D glass printer!!! Hopefully the finished product will be translucent and food-safe!

Hey all!

I'm back with a new store accessory:

The Hammer Vaporizer Stand

il_570xN.663276037_devj.jpg

https://www.etsy.com/listing/206078891/hammer-vaporizer-stand

This was a special request by a fellow member of this site who was gracious enough to lend me his Hammer Vape so I could 3D scan it for a perfect fit. There's also a keyhole in the base for added security, though I doubt you need it. I have also added 4 slots for mouthpiece stems, and one 14mm WPA.

I'm back everyone!

New item just listed on my store:

Mini Rubber Tapered Plugs!
il_570xN.638773804_5r7w.jpg

Given the unexpected popularity in my tapered rubber plugs, I've opted to add a new size to the store. These mini plugs are designed to fit both 14 and 18mm MALE fittings found on many new glass pieces designed for dabbing.

More stuff coming soon! Up next - Male and Female GonG stands!

I got a full set of these flexible plugs and they work great for cleaning my bubbler with
Powdered Brewery Wash (PBW). You need to have it completely full of water/cleaner OR it
will leave a white ring where the water ends.
Not having 4 hands to accomplish this, these plugs do the job admirably.
Good job!!
There are different sizes that should fit any piece and they are very flexible.

I'm wanting to buy the loading tool for the Indica when you get that little gadget available. I looked on your site. I will look some more. I know you just made this. It may not be in production as of yet? Is it something someone must order?

It's not in his store yet, but you can PM him if you want to buy a prototype. I have one and it works great! So simple, yet so effective in easy loading.

Thanks for that @OMEiAM - Yes the Indica Loading funnel is a new design I'm very happy with. It's currently available exclusively to FC members (PM if interested!). I'll let everyone know when it's available to order through my stores (Maybe even available in stainless steel through shapeways!)

In other news I wanted to announce that I have reduced shipping rates on my Etsy store for some smaller items (including the indica loading funnels)! Shipping for some items is 50% cheaper!

Additionally, Shapeways has lowered their costs for printing in some materials including plastic and steel! Stay tuned for more accessories available for printing in high-definition before the end of the year!

Here's a sneak peak at my current project - a Silicon FireFly WaterPipe Adapter! This part will be cast from non-toxic aquarium grade silicon and will be completely vapor safe (ISO safe for cleaning as well!)

Hm5queU.jpg

3D scanned for a perfect fit, it's completely safe to use without modifying your FireFly

For those curious types - here's a sample of the design process (prototypes in no particular order) - I print various molds and cast silicon parts to test the fit - checking for an air-tight fit, then vapor polishing the molds (acetone vapor!) to achieve a nice glossy finish on the cast parts.

This part should be available soon on my Etsy Store

I've also got several new Silicon Waterpipe adapters available shortly for the FireFly and Indica vaporizers. Stayed tuned for official announcements!

Definitely going to pick up one of those, Ratchett. Brilliant little tool!

P.S. You might want to put a little disclaimer on the site saying that the "stand" is not included. We live in stupid times where the obvious is not obvious.:nod:

Big news! Thank you for working on this!
I'm excited to say the least for (what I believe will be) the first Firefly 3rd-party mod!

Indeed, I'm actually printing the last part of the mold tonight (starting the print in about 15 minutes). Should have the SonG WPA listed for sale by early next week!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In other news, I received an email this afternoon from Shapeways. It seems their partner used for the Ceramic 3D printing has not met expectations with Shapeways and they are parting ways. This means they will not offer ceramic 3D printing at this time. As such I have ceased development on any and all ceramic accessories I had been designing (including the ceramic Herbalizer WPA).

However, they did mention they are working on offering porcelain 3D printing early next year. I don't know the specifications on it, but I hope the finished parts will be vapor safe.
