Thanks for the heads up, guys!
I'd like to avoid warranty repairs, since sending it from here to Canada would probably cost as much as a new LB.

I'm trying to keep it clean with the little brush, after each trench I sweep it out good, then blow on it to get rid of the dusty particles.

Longevity with the MFLB comes down to keeping herbs off of the rods when vaping, and making them stay down in the trench. Don't shake the box haphazardly after a hit and get material everywhere, instead learn to tap on the bottom of the box to flip -n- roll the herbage.

Thanks sundaddy, you're always giving great advice (I think I learned the re-crumble from you).

By rods you mean the heating wires that are soldered to the edges of the trench? Or something else?

Thanks again!

Thanks, and yes, the rods are the 2 main wires. In my experience, keeping the LB clean is key.

IMO, if you clean it regularly and use it according to Magic Flight's instructions, you will have no problems with your LB, using it on a daily basis. There are several here that do, Vicki being one of them.

The LB is the only vaporizer I use now, and I use it all day long. I find the LB to be very durable, except for the fragile screen. If you are careful when you clean it, you should be fine. :)

Thanks everybody! I'm a bit more relaxed now, and will make sure to keep it clean as good as I can.

hemp;)goofy8cheerio: yes, it is definitely harsher and hotter than my EQ, but the convenience of just loading and hitting it in seconds is the big factor. With the EQ you have to wait at least 3-4 minutes before you can get good vapor (this with the fan used for warming up). Also, the LB seems to be more efficient for me, it seems like I can get higher out of the same amount (maybe I vape it more thoroughly).
Plus I used to smoke small pipes, so I'm used to hot air.

u dont find it little bit harsh after awhile as main vape, it dries my throat out

I cut the stem down to about 3/4 of an inch, and have no throat problems. I don't vape 'till it's chocolate brown though, I only vape it to a greenish gold. I think when you take the herb to the edge of combustion it's really harsh. And I'm all about the flavor. On a side note, when I first started vaping, it wrecked my throat (Iolite) I was getting the worst dry mouth and throat I'd ever had, I actually had to get a prescription mouth hydration spray. (Aquoral) I've had none of that with the MFLB.

HA! just got back form the post with with a parcel in the bag :) waited for 2 weeks and finally THE BOX is here. Soooo Excited :D
Bought it from vapefiend (UK). The charger, which was some UK brand, came in broken... oh well, i was planning on buying a better one anyways. Cant wait to try it out. My box came with no push-back ring (nor the tin can), i guess they had some older stock or something. Any suggestions what material would suit best to make my own ring? as i understand some higher temps involved there.

It was a bit of pain to read all the 230 pages on this thread, but the info was worth it, and it was the main factor for me to get the box :) Thanks everyone for the input. Great forum!

in regards to box durability.... Though i love the box I needed a replacement unit after 3 months. My replacement unit now looks a bit bruised and battered but working fine. The screen is 100% black from a few accidental combustions.I believe it takes longer now to heat up but overall after 6months I can still use it everyday as my main vape at home with nobody knowing. For 100bucks I couldn't ask for more.

If stealth, efficiency, and value for money are factors the lb is the answer.

you want Imedion 2400's.......those are what ship with the box currently. They are awesome.....low self discharge so they stay charged for months. I am sure you can find websites that will ship these to you. You can try here and see if they ship to you.

2 things, cheerio, this vape is indeed one that when you hit it, especially without the stem, you are receiving a pretty direct hit, right from the source, so at times it can be harsh but i have 2 tips for you

1 sundaddys technique of only vaping to the point of herb going just past green i think is your best option, i personally wouldnt call it a waste considering the fact the the MFLB uses such litlle herb, this vape is a pretty effiecient little bastard haha

so if you take a good 2-3 nice first hits, that will allow you to get the best results as far as thc intake as well as they wont be as harsh compared to taking to to brown color

2 i personally like to hit it native (no stem) since im kind of a purists and hate the fact that if i use the stem, thc gets stuck inside the stem which bothers me tremendously but I know its just me being picky, but if you find the hit hot in temperature or just harsh, i think using the stem will give the vapor some travel time to cool down and make it easier for intake

hope that helps

im actually selling my friend my current mflb because he loves it and would work perfect for him in his lifestyle so I ordered a PD earlier this week and hopefully in about a month i can get my second MFLB, i honestly dont want to live without it, its a great travel and stealth vape, no other vape is better, i just want a bigger vape that will allow me to take some bigger hits, sometimes the mflb is just a tad to small and is hard to hit carefully and with control when youre a big guy like me

Here is a little tip regards dry mouth that I've gotten into the habit of using. When drawing on any vape I lift my tongue so that it touches the roof of my mouth and then draw so that the hot air hits the bottom of my tongue. It's simple yet effective and I also use my tongue to gage the heat of the hit.
I've heard this method called a tongue bong.

Sorry if it's common knowledge:)

Wow there is just noting better than a hot tub, a fresh trench, a fresh battery, and my mflb

OK, i knew i was in over my head. I bought the LB without the charger but with 4 extra batteries that blissville sell with the unit. Those batteries are done and need to be recharged. I also bought the c9000 charger and got it today. After reading the instructions i am totally confused on how or what to do.(not the sharpest tool in the shed with this kind of thing) So if someone who knows what the heck they are doing and i know there are a lot of you out there, can someone tell me exactly how to charge these stock batteries.
Thanks in advance

If those are Imedions (they should be) then put them in the charger. The default as I recall is Charge, but if that isn't what the little > is pointing to then use the up/down buttons to select it. Hit enter. It will then display the default capacity which is 2500. Use the down button to set it to 2400. Hit enter. Done.

Edited to correct the capacity to 2400.

Just put the batteries in and don't touch anything until they say Done. Then take them out and enjoy your LB.

EEEK! You are correct I mistyped myself. They are indeed 2400.

That will work but it's not the best, you should really set the capacity correctly.

ETA ...and type it correctly too. D'oh!

It will be interesting to see how the new Eneloop XX 2500mah will perform in the box. I read they will be good for about 500 cycles compared to the standard Eneloops @ 2000mah and good for about 1000 cycles.

Yes they are.

I was a bit vaped and typing from memory last night and the instructions I gave are actually for Break-In mode. If you followed them however, you will be fine.

The difference isn't great, in the second step you're not setting the capacity you're setting the current. Dividing the current by the capacity gives the charging rate, so if you set it to say 1200 then you are charging at .5c. (Lower equals slower.) You shouldn't charge at greater than 1.0c or less than .3c therefore using the default of 2500 to charge 2400 mAH batteries is not advised, although I suspect a discrepancy that small doesn't matter much.

Apologies if I misled anyone, and I promise, it will happen again.
