Massdrop Sales

I don't believe the items on MD are grey market.

"Believe" means that you do not, in fact, know, but are speculating.

I have stated before I know of several cases that have indeed been grey market. Facts trump opinion.

I have also very clearly (and repeatedly) stated that there are MDs where they do work with the manufacture. In fact, in the same post you replied to I not only made that point, but encouraged people to jump on the MD for JyARz.

That being said, just because this one is legit or you offer personal anecdotal examples do not make that universal.

We have had a few cases where people here only found out after their purchase that it was through an unauthorized sales channel and the warrantee was not valid. (And at least one case where it was unauthorized, but the manufacture make the decision to not invalidate the warrantee.) Massdrop's response was "Oh, it's covered by a *MassDrop* Warrantee", a point that NOWHERE was made clear before the sale. Of course this means, if they do "honor" their own warrantee, they have to source another grey market unit, which might be difficult as the distributor they were dealing with has already been caught in violation.

So it pays to check out any MD first, rather than just believe that everything is above board.

Now go buy some JyARz!

OK disagree with me, I can't force you to be right

Whoa...seriously? How about opinion based on facts of multiple individuals' experiences?

Yes, I don't know for a fact that there are no grey market items being sold via MD. I do know (hence my use of the term "belief") that the numerous items purchased by me and others I know of have all been OEM. As I recall my post was more of a presentation of another perspective to the original posters declaration that all MD items were grey market more than any kind of comment or rebuttal of your post. In retrospect, I probably should have "replied" to her post rather than yours as we seem to share the same perspective albeit from different points of view.

Now I will admit that I take the simple precaution of contacting the manufacturer regarding honoring warranties, etc. before buying from any site or individual that is not the manufacturers and would recommend that to anybody. I do it even if the site claims to be authorized. And even if people (like me :\) have made affirmative declarative statements about coverage, etc.

"In fact" (;)) I'd say we're both touting the same message in our own way...do your homework kiddies!

Peace brother...(what happened to the "Peace" smilie?)

Jyarz was the first Drop I participated in. I am curious, when might I expect the transaction to go through and the product to arrive?

Massdrop has the Davinci ascent, only 2 away from the lowest price 179.99 ,Vapormax V with glass mouth piece lowest price 69.99+2.99 shipping, and Da Buddha for lowest price 124.99. Hoping to drum up some enthusiasm, since I'm in on all three.

I almost bit into the SCS nail, but am passing as it is not domeless...

For now, I will stick with my quartz- I love the ease of domeless bhombing, and having one less item to clean (the dome).

I am starting to not understand Massdrop .
I never see anything on here that I cant get a better deal on just by searching most of the time .
I got my Solo for $120 from PIU .
And (off topic ) usually the headphone prices are retail prices some times more.
Maybe its just me ? I can accept that .

I got mine a around three months ago . I did the price match on VaporNation . Then sent it over to puff it up. And they matched it and were really cool . So I bought it there .

And I do need to correct the above post . It was 125 which is the current Massdrop price . But I didn't have to deal with Massdrop or waiting for a number of people . I just had to search and ask .

I Know that can't happen on everything but I think Massdrop is a great idea that could work better ..Maybe?

Just my opinion though and I am generally cranky !

I didn't know about the price match deal. Yeah I'm generally kind of a cranky skeptic.

That's cool. And I definitely have no particular loyalty to MD I just want to pay the lowest price possible (without being "too go to be true" and bogus) I did get my Solo from MD and a Simba Matrix bong as well.

I watch a lot as well but its tough to see anything worth it anymore. They are not always honest about what you are getting, so it's not just price.

I just got in on my first MD and was quite satisfied.

It was important to me that I knew who the retailer was through FC, and that he is active in the community.

Knowing and already having several of his products, I was very confident that I new exactly what I was getting; the quality was exactly as I expected.

The deal I refer to was Jyarz, and if one is buying just a Satchmo and one Classic, then it was a better deal than buying direct.... However, if you have the funds to buy direct then Aldo offers some great deals direct by offering discount on multiple items. Either way it was a win for me on Massdrop, as I typically only buy Jyarz one or two at a time.

X2 FlyingLow.
I got the MDrop JyARZ deal too. Slightly better than anywhere else but a known solid deal using the manufacturer. I wanted them already and this hit----so got 'em.
It went smoothly. Delivery takes a little while, but again, that wasn't an issue with me. I think there were several email updates about shipping, expected date, etc.

I just wanted to pop in and let everyone know that Massdrop did stay true to their word. They contacted Andy at Epicvape and I received my beautiful Cherry E-Nano. I'd like to add that Andy was extremely helpful and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend his services or his products to anyone.

I now have two log vapes, Underdog and E-Nano, which both function flawlessly so I keep one at a friends house and one at mine. What more could a man ask for?
