Underdog Log Vapes

Just got mine. Tried putting some butter on- didn't need it. I warmed it up a bit before firing it up to burn off any lingering materials from manufacturing-didn't seem to need that either. These things are very well made, easy to use, and good to go. A fine grind will suit you well, I believe. :D
Good to hear. According to the tracking number it will be here tomorrow! It is a shame I have to work and will have to wait until I get home to get my hands on it.

Just received my dog yesterday, and its awesome so far. I do have a few questions though. Can the herb get stuck in the heater core if some falls in and lead to any problems?(burnt smell?) I have dropped some in there but just tipped it over and it came out. Also, when the time comes how do i replace the screens? I have no clue how I would get them in the stems easily. Other than that, I love the Dog so far.

If you get a little herb in the core it's not the end of the word, usually it'll fall out with some inverted shaking/tapping.. you can also blow it out. If anything is left it will burn off from the heat of the vape after a short while.

For stems/screens I like to clean them with the screen in place when possible. A quick ISO/salt soak and shake in a tube like the BSBs on the website and both are clean (rinse too of course) and ready to go again. If you do want to replace/remove the screens you just get a long stick (dowel, pencil, chopstick, etc) and push the screen all the way thru (push from the open side of the screen and it goes easier) and push a new one in the same way. With a little care I find these formed screens last indefinitely though.

Alright Dogs today starts our 'weekend' (Sun/Mon) so we'll be out of touch off and on today and tomorrow. Will still ship out any orders tomorrow just won't be answering emails, etc, for the most part. Hope you all enjoy all those new Dogs.. :peace:

Yeah, by all means.. uses the same heating element as a standard Dog so should need similar voltages. Enjoy.. and thanks!

So I got my dog last night. It has treated me very nice last night. For the direct draw stem am I supposed to fill the bowl? Same with silicone stem?

123vapethattree,
Glad to hear 123vape!

With Direct Draw stems the recommended fill is just a tad more than it takes to fill the formed screen.. so maybe a 1/4" deep. Same/similar amount for the Silicone Stems.
Will have to pay more attention as opposed to just dumping some in then. Also, should I rotate the stems as I hit or anything?

You can use as much or as little as you like, it's all relative to the individual user.. the above is just what we seem to like around here.

Rotating is similarly relative, we like to rotate the Nylon Stems but not the glass ones but that's just our preference. Just don't try and rotate with silicone stems since that can twist the core around.

Thank you. Luckily I only twisted the glass one. Also, should I let the stem sit on the heater for a few then hit it or just hit

Always happy to answer questions and offer suggestions!

I don't like letting stems sit and heat up and find our design makes it unnecessary. Other people swear by it but I feel like it's going the 'wrong' way by going from convection based vaporization to conduction based. :2c:

This company ROCKS!. These vapes are for "the lifers and hardcores". If you are serious about your medications, call them. Good people and a quality product, all add up to a nice secure, warm feeling about my purchase, no regrets, unlike with some purchases made over the internet. UNDERDOG log vapes are also, easily, works of art. The wood is some of the most beautiful you will ever see or feel.

Just call them... they are so nice!!!

I can't say I am surprised. I have been lurking here for some time. I love my Buddha, I couldn't live without my Nano. But here we are again ordering up. Now I got backup to backup to backup or the start of The Great North American Vape Expo!

Thanks for the order man, much appreciated.. we'll ship it out for you tomorrow and you should get a tracking email when we do.

Hey Dave, just out of curiousity, about how many Aircores were made? Or did you not keep track?
And can they be custom ordered?

When we're testing a potential new design I usually have a test group of approximately 20 users. I think I made just under 30 ACs in total and 20 went to testers and the remainder are the ones we sold.

You could definitely custom order one, either just like the prototypes that were sold or one with refinements based on the feedback from testers.
