The D022 is still my favorite piece. i use my D020-2-W a lot too but i have just ordered my second D022 (which has shipped within 12 hours of payment from sunshine store)

waiting on kathy recycler to ship.

Just my 2 cents on the D-2020: My lung capacity is not too great, so the small can of the D-2020 paired with the Nano or Underdog is just right for me. Plus, the draw with it is so smooth and effortless I just have to love it all the more. It's a quality piece of glass that's well worth the price and more.

And then I saw that. I just like how the fake(?) roor's beaker is shaped and don't like how the other two have a bit too much of a slant

For some reason I kind of feel like a bubbler would be better for vapor(mostly taste?), but I like the classic beaker bottom too...

Ladies and gentlemen I would like to introduce the cheap bubbler champ. The yingmin GB-228 honeycomb to turbine sidecar. I purchased it when it was accidently priced at $22.50 but it actually sells for $29.55 and I believe that it has the potential to dethrone the original D020 as best cheap vape bubbler.

It has the much sought after sidecar mouthpiece. It has 18mm female joint. It has good flavor and ample diffusion. The turbine disc is a wonderful splash guard. It is very well made and can support my nano without tipping over. All this for under $30 shipped.

I paid $34 shipped for this piece from sunshinestore. They sell it as the D020--2-w.

This looks exactly like the D020-2-W i rave so much about.
It truly is one of my favorite pieces, right below the D022 IMO.
I use it every day.
The D020-2-W however is a male joint like the right one on your picture.

I don't know about you but I feel it needs a lot of water to work ideally. With the amount I usually fill it up, the water goes almost all the way up to the ground glass joint so I actually like using the D020-2-W with a 18mm female to female adapter for some extra clearance. I am not sure I would be comfortable using it with the same water lever.

I don't have strong lung power, some of my friends can fill the piece to a low water level and make water go thru both percs. I can't and have mine filled up a lot. I also enjoy the high level of diffusion.

The GB-228 from yingmin is the D020-W-2 with a female joint. If you look back I raved about the D020-W-2 when it first came out. My friend broke mine and I replaced it with blue base version. It is really one of the best cheap vape bubbles but the male joint made it a no go for some members. Now that yingmin is offering a female joint version and for less money it is a must buy.

I keep my water level a hair above the honeycomb disc.

There should hopefully be enough clearance for the solo when you have a gong on there. Give me a little bit and I will post a picture

Edit: GB-228 with E-nano on top to show clearance. Next to D020 for comparison

Same design (perch/splashguard), better mouthpiece (for me). I have the D020-w-2 and can't seem to adjust to the angle of the sidecar mouthpiece. I like to vape at a desk, and the sidecar makes me lean and twist my neck too much. If I hold it instead, then I have to concentrate on keeping it steady, as the perch is not as forgiving as a D020W (tire perch).

I like the GB-189 style sidecar.. the mouthpiece is angled more steeply to the vertical, so it can rest on my desk and is also comfortable to use.

Regardless, the new yingmang one and the sss ones would be required purchases if you own more than 4 or 5 of the China pieces. I'd put these guys just slightly behind my GB-187.

Also, whoever recommended putting oil on the GonG to Glass connection, thank you.. it works awesomely.

Edited to add: @blankrider - how's that carbed GonG working out? I'm tempted to get one.

I have over 20 setups.
they all serve their purpose.
I like a Ash Collector/Jhook set up more than anything else. You and a few others like the side car.

I got an email from "Read The Label" saying that the price of the item I ordered was incorrect. They apparently had a "glitch" in their system that changed the price of all items to $18. :doh:

I already got a paypal refund confirmation, so that's cool. They did give me a 20% coupon code that I won't be using. If anyone wants it, feel free to PM me.

@nihil and anyone else who is interested, the carbed gong is working out amazing. I fucking love it. Makes life so much easier and no need for a claisen. Really cannot explain how awesome it is not having to pull out a potentially hot gong or watch my friends fumble with the nano and gong. I just pass it to them and tell them it is like a rush hole and no issues. I suggest you order one now

@nihil I like the Do20K but need the angle of the side car . I usually hold it while using it .

Lingo, not getting it. Is "rush hole" = "carb?" As in, block hole, inhale, unblock hole, clear? That's my newb understanding of it, and if so, I'm interested. When I combusted I used a water pipe with a carb.

@FUnhouse - Wish I could agree. I have a hard time keeping the water level when holding it. No worries though, just spend $30 and try another piece. Again, it's about the honeycomb/vortex (splashguard) combo.. this is a great design.

I don't think anyone has bought that one yet IIRC.

IMO the perc looks like it is below the return tube which can cause bubbles to go up the return tube and disrupt the recycling feature.

You will also have to use a high water level in order to get the bubbles to stack up high enough to enter the uptake tube. This will cause chug when pulling especially because the perc doesn't look like it has very many holes.

They will make a good large size recycler one day. They have a few smaller ones that seem to work well.

Kinda frustrating how it'd take so little effort/change to redesign that perc and make it a decent recycler :ugh:
