Biohacker, were you able to take your cork pads off and put them back on again without any distortion of the pads? IMO, it seems like it would be pretty obvious if you took it apart, not just by the way the cork pads will look, but you would probably be able to tell by the screw heads (if someone wasn't careful unscrewing and re tightening it). I'm still planning on waiting on mine getting warrantied. This weekend has been a real downer without my new favorite toy.

If you are in love with your nano like I am, you NEED to order a backup. Not for when it breaks, before, so replacement is an inconvenience and not a tortuous, calender ridden existence. Time spent waiting is time spent in Hell. You have all the steamrollers, bongs, gongs, tubes and jhooks. Now contemplate peace of mind. I know the junior members have a hard time getting the money together but You older folks know things wear out and planning ahead is a good thing.

You can peel them of without distorsion (just be careful), I did it to change the old wire:tup:,put them back and they are still on the unit, just like before!
I should mention that I'm from germany and shipping the nano back is no option for me!
Did you already thought of the temp control :cool:, maybe the connection comes loose, that was a problem in some (2?) nanos in the past:hmm:

I put my screen(s) in a small container with some rubbing alcohol and water, and either rock salt or kosher salt as an abraisive material. Mind that the water and/or alcohol is cool so the salt does not dissolve, and then shake vigorously for 20-30 seconds, then rinse.

Really cannot wait to have another option with the GonG and water piece. Had a touch of the cold and no matter how low or far away I put the screen it was too much and I ended up putting the nano down and usin the solo. It still caught but not as much. But I don't wanna be using the solo too much as it's a portable not a daily driver. Love my nano but sometimes it just beats me up too much in the throat department. Incidentally I normally vape flowers thru the dry stem at 6 ish. And give it a ten to fifteen second heatsoak. Works 99.9% of the time.

I was able to take one off and back on flawlessly without knowing. I fucked the other one up so need to go to a crafts store or something and find the same cork. Like I said in a previous post, I don't think you would be able to tell it was opened, but i'm not concerned because I would gladly pay a small repair bill. There is a post in this thread where Andy tells me I can open it to "flip" the wires because they weren't straight and my Nano kept falling over easily, but I honestly can't remember if he said it would void my warranty or not...but i'm guessing it would.

Seriously thinking about getting a backup Nano....mainly because of the new cord design, but also because I remember how excruciating it was to communicate with epic vape.

Lol, I never vape dry anymore - water has spoiled me! I have many options with all my cheap glass, I like to cycle them out every few weeks!

Make sure you check out the RezBlock (Cranberry extract) thread to learn how to keep your glass looking clean as the day you got it!

Okay.....I have had mine for about a month now....I think. :lol: I started out with the dry stem and really liked that. I tried the gong at first and didn't really get anything out of it compared to the dry stem. Now I don't even know where my dry stem is. Gong every day all day now. I change my water daily with cranberry extract. I have found a use for my reclaim also. I have been reclaiming after cleaning my Solo stems and such and didn't really like the results when tried. Now I take a small piece...small...and sandwich it in a load of herb. WOW...it will vape forever! It really extends the session. I get maybe 6 hits give or take from green. I add a small piece of reclaim/hash and easy 12 hits. They are lighter but won't stop. Sometimes I just dump it and move on because it won't stop but slows down to a whisp. My ABV turns to a ground up coffee color. The only negative that I can say about the reclaim is it does make my screen dirty fast. I have a baby food jar with alcohol in it and I rotate my screens to solve that problem. So basically .....I LOVE THIS THING!

After searching around for months for a great desktop vape, I nearly decided on getting a DBV but somewhere read a review that mentioned an e-nano. After reading through this entire thread, slowly saving up money (with birthday funds from my partner), and watching the Epicvape site for a nice nano. I took the plunge and ordered this one

I only own a MFLB, and this is certainly going to be a nice upgrade. Going to have to work extra hard to finish up my schoolwork before it gets here.

As a side note, there hasn't been much discussion about the aromatherapy feature. It should be a nice (rather cheap) method of keeping my living quarters smelling lively and fresh.

My Nano falls over obnoxiously all the time, and will hardly stay upright when plugged in.
Did his simple recommendation to switch and re-solder the wires help?

I would love it if mine did not fall over so damn easy, any other suggestions y'all?

You've got double trouble (aggravation anyway) with this model. Aside from the hanging heat control, the AC cord is stiff lamp cord and plays havoc with a small lightweight vape. You don't want a smaller diameter, more flexible cord though, or you'd end up breaking the internal wiring in the cord after a while. And I wouldn't want to add extra weight to the vape either. It's just the price you pay with this design for reliability.

I've started using a bungee cord + screw hook to hold the cord above the vaporizer and it works great.

I have several nanos and after the new plug they all fall over. Ok Wizards, what is the answer. Andy has come up with plug with dial at the 3/4 mark.Replacements are $20. It has the 2 prong receptacle on the nano. What would be better? My dial takes a beating as I use and pass nano. The short length between dial and power plug causes tip over. If you were advising Andy what would you suggest? @Tweak Pics? A loop attached to table with plug passed through? A Hook that wraps around cord? Buy more cords? Buy more nanos? Quit obsessing over things are are really not a problem?

You nailed it, it is really the cord that is causing the tips. It is just a nuisance and I really don't want to blemish the finish on my nano because of a drop.

..I am going to try to work out a solution of my own using a hook. I had thought about velcro, but do not like the look of velcro on my wooden table.

@TeeJay1952 I don't meant to make a mountain of a molehill, and it is certainly not a deterring complaint that would keep me from using it... but after working with @Snappo to find the perfect wood, and after @ACE OF VAPE worked my burl into this beautiful log, I do want to do all I can to keep it unscathed from blemishes if I can prevent the tipping.

I have been simply unplugging the unit, but then I have to deal with reheating again. I would love to help contribute to finding a better solution.

I would suggest they make a cord where the dial is mounted on the plug itself, so you have nothing but cord from the plugin to the enano. It would have to be a chunky plug, but that would be ok with me, I'd rather adjust the temp at the wall and not worry about the dial getting bumped off my setting when the cord is being moved around. Just my :2c: .

To solve this I bought this extension cord: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0065Q5S78/ref=pe_385040_30332190_TE_3p_dp_4

Then adjusted the temp under my desk. To make sure it didn't change temp accidentally with my feet or something, I taped the dimmer in place.

Just wait until you guys see my new and improved Nano PWM case - flared feet to increase upright stability, a notch for rubber bands to hold the temperature (prevent accidentally bumping up the temps!), and a key-hole in the base so you can slide it onto a screw for safe-keeping.

Printing a prototype tonight - hopefully I can share the results with ya'll soon! (3D printed wood composite prototype later this week!)

Awesome ideas ratchet, do you think you could make an oval or rectangular case that worked like a dugout, it would have storage on one side to hold one or two nano stems, then a pivoting (vented) lid that would cover the hot heating element and hold the spare stems in place. It would be extra cool to have it in matching wood entire. Here's a pic of a dugout, In case anyone has forgotten what they look like, just imagine it bigger (nano size) with the bigger side being the heating element, and smaller side stem storage. I really want this case for my solo to make it truly portable, but that's another thread.

OH man these are some cool developments, a combo of @Ratchett's new dial housing with an extension cord could solve any tipping problems. @421 did you notice any loss in power when you started using the cord? I think I have read about people experiencing power loss with longer cords

Nope, no noticeable loss in power. I did end up keeping the unit on for longer since I couldn't access the temp dial as easily.
