I have had ELBs in iso for months and they still work fine. In fact i'm still finding jars I hid around of ELBs soaking in iso. It's just that I have to rotate them so much to keep them clean and from falling apart.

I'll try it with the elbs , but never with the NO2 screens .
They're too fine , they always fall apart . I use % 99 iso . btw

yes the NO2 screens can't handle ISO for that long. ELBs safer to leave them in though.

Well I've definitely lost several ELBs over the years from wear and tear and normal usage. It's the way she goes, eh.

same, but i feel i go through them far faster than the vast majority of users here do.

I leave my ELBs in 99% ISO for weeks at a time as well with no ill effects.

I would not advise pinching the ELB as it can only cause stress on the vertical seam.

:peace:
I actually hold my ELB by 2 fingers in one hand and tap that hand with my other hand above an ashtray (around/above the wrist) ... this empties it out, then I use a brush to give it a brisk clean after every use ... this works well and I don't need to pinch (or at least very little/rarely :))

I've soaked my ELB's in 91% ISO for at least a day or two every time I need to clean them. I am one of the original buyers of a Cloud and some of my ELB's are from the original purchase. They look almost as new as the day I got them. Maybe a strand or two have stuck up a little over those couple of years, but the ISO doesn't seem to affect them except by getting them cleaner...:)

I also soak my ELB's in ISO for long periods of time. I wait till I'm down to my last one and that is when I clean the other ones. That way in a few days when the last one gets dirty the other ones will be reddy to go. I never pinch them I always use a pick and then I put the elb around my lips and blow to get anymore out. Sometimes I'll scrape more and hit the empty elb again to really clean it. These ones have been lasting great! I think I had a bad batch before these because they all fell apart in a matter of months and it was ALL of them! But these ones have been fine since I received my EVO and they had use with my ordinal cloud as well so it been over a year at least. Oh and no problems with my EVO at all. :)

Well I received my order from VapeXhale today and I'm a bit perplexed. The HydraFoot I received is not entirely round on the bottom, more oval shaped, and its not flat. It wiggles on my counter top because it is NOT flush with the granite. I'm really disappointed with their quality control on this piece. How any human being looked at this and said "Yeah its OK" is beyond me. This is a factory second at best. @Troi talked about "metrics" being used to improve customer service from VXL. Well, as far as I can tell, NONE of these metrics are customer survey driven since I have never been asked about my experience with the company by anyone at VXL. Hope they take care of me in a timely manner . . .

Yeah my HF was tiny and light weight compared to one I bought with my OG Cloud. Deff. not as nice.

Soooo is there any burn-in period for the EVO or anything?

I tried it for the first time last night got stoned as HELL. First hit was pretty milky but after that wasn't impressed.

Today I decided to try it at the recommended 12 Oclock position, I got literally no visible vapor and wisps came out on exhale. Moved it up to 2:30, got some wispy vapor on the inside.

I'm deeply concerned now and I just got this thing out the box.

To top that off VXL sent me a CloudBuddy without the stopper so I still can't use the EVO with my smaller pieces (using it on a 17" piece with <30mm bore on the mouthpiece and about a 60mm diameter, maybe 50 right now)

EDIT: Woops, power cord was only halfway in. May have jumped to conclusions.

Glad to hear you figured it out. Make sure to contact them to get you that stopper

Put the dial at like 1 o'clock and let it get good and hot for 10 minutes. Once the unit is heat saturated you should get good vapor production and flavor. Start your draw slow until your medicine starts to "give" then you can ramp it up a bit. Remember, the vapor from EVO is not like the vapor from Cloud+. It's not as chalky so it seems wispier, its cooler, and definitely more flavorful.

That should be a sort of warning given. My wife still uses the Cloud+ because she likes the thicker vapor and more harshness of the vapor

Whispier, cooler, and more flavourful sound to me like a lack of heat. I too prefer Cloud+ over EVO but appreciate the EVO's nuances, just differently. I really wish a future EVO would go back to the original steel shell (cheaper too apparently)...I just love how it doesn't get hot, but comfortably warm. As well as a higher ceiling for high temp vaping.

different strokes I guess? after several controlled comparisons with the EVO using various temps and strains and glass, my Cloud+ has been permanently benched. strictly a backup at this point. my Cloud+ has a slower heat up, and produces hotter vapor with worse flavor. I don't think it produces bigger clouds either, just less enjoyable ones. that's my experience

I think in this case its more convection and less radiation and conduction. EVO seems to vape at lower temps which is good imho.

My old Cloud+ is also benched, reserved for backup. My EVO shows no signs of slowing down though.

Sent my evo in on Monday for repairs looks like the repair team should get it today. @biohacker is yours still being worked on? Curious to see what the turnaround time for other people is recently. Seems like it's another internal problem as the bamboo glass has never cracked. Just when I had bought two vapexnails :\
Least I have Herbie to entertain me :tup:

It wasn't me with the EVO repair dude. Pretty sure from what I can remember of reading in this thread that turnaroud is approximately a couple of weeks. How do you compare your working EVO to Herbie? Can the Herbie deliver the same kind of massive lung busting EVO hits?
