I just think the mflb is not for you.

Kinda funny how after near 40 years of smoking herb daily I quit burning and only vape my bud now. Thanx to this little box.

@1flyfisher reading your posts throughout this thread it's pretty easy to tell that you just don't like the mflb much at all. Maybe another vaporizer or just smoking will serve you better.

Of the people i've met who didn't like the box the only problem was they didn't really know how to use it. One person did have a box that ran to cool and got it replaced and now they love it.

there are a lot of other good vapes out there now that are very simple and mindless to use.

Please read at least one of the friendly reminders you've been getting about back-to-back posts. Clearly you've either been ignoring them or you choose to break the rules. I'll assume the former unless you do it again.

You also haven't taken my advice about calming down and editing out the aggression. The LB might not be a good solution for you, but it is far far from being a "pos". If you can't be respectful then don't post, because otherwise you will eventually wind up with a warning point.

I hate to break it to you, but if you hate dealing with batteries and want a vape especially suited for off-the-grid use, the MFLB doesn't seem right for you. That doesn't decrease its merit, as it's a great device in its own right, but you'll want to look into getting a butane powered vape for the best OTG experience. If you do some looking around in the portable threads in this forum there are definitely some good contenders. The Lotus and Hammer are worth looking in to for a start. The MFLB isn't for everyone, and it has a somewhat tough learning curve as far as vapes go. You have to stick with it for a good while and learn the intricacies of your box. The batteries are also a definite downside when off-the-grid use is concerned.

And it can for sure get you ripped if you use it right :dog:

It has some good points and it has some bad points.
I'm trying to like it.
But when I am told haveto spend another $50+ to make this pos work that is a no go.

That's not the best way. I am looking for the best way AND IF i don't like your answer don't get your panties in a bunch because i am looking for the best way for me. dude told me I nneeded a new charger. I don't want to buy a new charger. I already have wto chargers and they both charge batteries. I want to know how best to use the charger I already have.
I know how so that's the end of discussion. Some dude got whiny because I didn't like his answer. I can't say everyone has the best answer.

I need a vape that can kick fucking vape blasts into my face every hour on the hour while I am in my kayak flyfishing or i could die. iT'S MEDICAL SHIT DUDE THAT I DON'T WANT TO TALK ABOUT.
I have to be on the water an hour before sun up in sub zero conditions. That's fucking sub ZERO conditions deep into december when the waters are freezing over. I need a vape that can kick ass in those conditinns.
GOD give me a vapoe that can do that and I will fuckin hook trophy fish every daY.

I'm also an acid fisherman and butane vapes are great for summer, winter just gotta keep the torch warm against your body. I medicate also, not recreate. Mflb is great in kayak and canoe. Just got out of the canoe with my mflb slayed the crappie. FISH FRY!!

I am gearing up for fall fishing. I must have early am medication. I will have to break through ice to stalk the skinny waters. I must be throwing bugs to pigs. Then I will have to battle back home or be stranded.

I flyfish from a kayak. I must have at least 4 bowls a day. If this POS MFLB can't deliver then I need to find something that does. Or I threaten the vape universse that i will return to smoking...lol...combustion...lol

Made a tincture and I added it to my coffee this morning, really good body high, then I forced myself to work on my deer stand, so I take a break and crack a beer and take a few sips off of my Launch Box, those few sips really made that tincture come alive, head high beyond belief. Next time, I'll go a little easier..

Being currently one-handed, sore from surgery, and throat sore from intubation has given me even more appreciation for this crazy little box. I'm sipping on kief tonight. A tiny pinch keeps me medicated for hours. I'd fall off a deer stand.

I loaned out my box and I think an overzealous friend messed up the screen cleaning it before giving it back. It's separated a bit in two corners. Still works but it have to have the PA at about 75% to get a good hit. Ugh.

Research often means finding answers one doesn't want to find, assuming they did their diligence.

I'm an avid backpacker and fisherman. The first question I looked into regarding the MFLB was batteries and charging. Batteries is a typical concern for an outdoors man if it applies to his gear, especially if he spends much time in truly frigid winter weather. Batteries don't like frigid cold and solar chargers often don't like winter weather, let alone the lower position of the sun in the winter sky.

Despite the fact that the MFLB delivers tasty, decently-thick clouds all day long with charged batteries or a PA that can one high-igh-igh, the answer for me is the Lotus: a torch and a can of butane. Easy. This will also deliver more body, if that's really what you're looking for (something I also discovered during my research). Granted the Lotus is not quite as 'different' or elegant as the MFLB, in this case, function over form is important.

If my life depended on being able to smoke while out in the frigid winter, while out on the middle of a lake, while fishing, I would have opted for something.....different....that didn't require batteries, especially after doing all that research.

Either way, I probably wouldn't stop fishing, either.

I went down this same path as you, and by the way have about 5 MFLBs and have gifted them too, and came up with an identical conclusion as you.

Thus I have a Lotus, as well as the glass sherlock and the water pipe adapter. Really like the Lotus and on a trip to Jamaica it was the clear winner against a VG and MFLB.

However, I kept going down the path as I couldn't easily use the Lotus is some circumstances, and came across the Vapman. You bring in elegance, and the Vapman doesn't fall short there. In short, it offers the benefits of the Lotus, the discreteness of the MFLB and is more efficient. I somehow thought the smaller size of the chamber would be a disbenefit, but now realize what a plus it is. Loving it!
