Yes, i had it back now. I couldn't have been served better. I knew the deal at th time and there were no warranty. Ready to pay. Herbalizer team took care of me.

My case is special since nothing was broken but more of software bug.

Now it seems things have changed and PV have the warranty behind.

The core of the device is incredible. Purring like a tiger.

I think time will tell also.

So... VAS got the best out of me.. I was able to drop by for a visit at the Herbalizer Headquarters in San Diego.. I was so giddy to actually touch one and interact with it.. I was able to try some herbs in it and before I knew it.. I was walking out of the HQ with a Herbie in my hand :D

Initial Impressions.. the speed of the warm up shocks me! I was able to milk my bowls great! I still need to figure out what is the best way to load the Herbie.. Tested it with some concentrates.. Was able to to get great results out of it.. I love this thing.. Still surprises me how small it is..

For the unit itself- it feels pretty solid and HIGH quality but my gripes with the device is more of the accessories such as the bowl, whip, and others- It feels a bit flimsy and not as solid as valves from Volcano but hope Herbalizer or other companies wil be able to provide better quality accessories for Herbies in the future..

I tested the bags out- It reminded me of bags out of Volcano- It was really good but the Volcano is better at blowing bags IMO but the quality of the vapor is pretty even in the bags, More cleaner tasting in a Herbie IMO but it was kinda slow to blow up the balloon compared to Volcano

Im still trying to find out the easter eggs- ive mashed every buton in every combo possible but havent seen anything cool.. More to play..

I might actually grab a mouthpiece from VXC and some adapters from Aqualabs so I can use it with the glass piece instead of the whip to enable me to get clean and bigger hits..

Im probably holding on this Herbie for a while.. it can do everything for me and has enough soup in it for a group sesh..

I havent gotten the chance to really use it by myself extensively- I used it with my group (bachelors trip) and everybody in my group are mostly smokers and some vapers (90% of the times I vape by myself) and all of them were extremely impressed using it and how lit all of us got lol..

We ran maybe 3/4 oz of buds through Herbie in a 4 day weekend for 8 heads and everybody was satisfied.. That is saying alot.. I can imagine when I start using it by myself as a daily driver- Its gonna be great.

The fan assist is crazy good.. But I notice thicker and more clouds if I turn the fan assist off and draw..

Reading few posts before mine- seeing the glass source is Quartz so that is a great bonus IMO

Can't wait to keep testing it and getting the most out of it.. but so far.. its the #1 vaporizer on my list...

I want to hear more about using the Hydrotubes with the Herbie. I hear it is incredibly proprietary but I know glass on glass does indeed make a large difference.

I know I have a mouthpiece used it a few times but didn't notice anything significant to report!

You can use Herbie with almost everything, I suspect, if you have the right adapters, tubing, etc. So it is all fun. Are HydraTubes better than other water tools? Not in my opinion, but what do I know? Like Lays Potato Chips, you can't have just one glass piece. Some folks spend thousands on glass collections. It is all good. But as pointed out by @ataxian, more important than the quantity or quality of the tools, buds reign supreme.

Finally pulled the plug on a herbalizer :D
Highly recommend to anyone with amazon prime to buy it there on amazon. It still comes straight from the herbalizer team and you get guaranteed 2 day shipping with FedEx. Also picked up some sweet shatter and super tasty indica. Usually I have a good amount of patience but I can't fucking wait until Saturday guys. I feel a lot of experimenting and testing will happen. All in the name of the name of science of course :science::science:

I have a superb miniVAP but reading this thread makes me want to add a Herbalizer. HELP!!!
You need to pick up a Herbalizer for your home vape, and use the Minivap on the go! :p They are very different vapes (love my minivap) and they have their own unique vape signatures. I just used the Minivap for a week in the desert and when I returned the Herbie kicked my arse even more than normal!

Tell me more.... I am impressed by Herbie, looks like it would be awesome. Then I use the miniVAP (MV) , and wonder how could it be any better? Turn it on, grind a little bud, load the mini wire basket / silicone cover), grab an icewater, in a minute it's good to go. Do a direct draw on pink heat setting for lemon mist vapor. Move the basket to the bubbler (10 second deal) and go green heat setting for thicker taste. Can walk around the house / patio with MV in hand Usually then set aside. Third step would be red heat setting for nightime effects.

What's the Herbie routine? I guess a big plus would be the ultra quick start up time. I work around that by turning mine on and then do the others things so my wait time is usually very little. Bags and whip option might be nice but not sure if I'd use bags much/at all. The precise temp control is the thing that I like the most---to the exact degree. The MV is precise but just to 4 heat ranges. How much does it improve to have such precise temp control.
I found a picture somewhere of Herbie and ABV and maybe 5 temps and the color difference. It was very interesting.
Still thinkin' about the Herbie until I ask if I'm F'in crazy, I don't need another vape...

So I've got a nice routine going with my Herbie. I am a lightweight, so a bowl can last me 2 sessions. The first session, I fill a bag at around 360-375 and the next session, I use the whip up in the 400+ range. I need to experiment a bit more because of my GI issues, I need to get the CBD so I may need to do 400+ for all my sessions.

That post spoke to me
, I frequently wonder if I should just get all these amazing vapes my VAS screams for:drool:, but then I get the feeling of 'what then', what do you have to dream about, to look forward to, to get that 'new-vape tingling:cool:' over......I'm enjoying wasting time daydreaming about herbie:nod:, when the time comes I'm sure it will be all I imagined, and more:bowdown:....

I excited for version 2 of the Herbalizer.

- The LCD is low res
- the fan is too noisy.
- The top case is chintzy compared to the rest of the unit.
- I wonder if a physical dial would be better for temp control than the buttons. Buttons are great for "overloading" but there's no other function for them so a dial would work just as well.

A couple of other really minor niggles. I love the device overall. I thoroughly enjoy using it.

So I cannot deny that the flavor you get through the MiniVap is amazing. The Herbie's vapor is much cooler than the minivao, even at 445f. The vapor cools a lot as it travels through the 3ft. whip. The flavor is also good, but since it's cooled off so much the flavor isnt quite as strong. I do use approximately the same amount whether it be Minivap or Herbie- a heaping smidgen spoonful. The effects from the Herbalizer are longer lasting - it is a noticeable difference. Also, the same dose with Herbie is stronger as well. It's strange because the abv is always lighter with the Herbie. With the Minivap you usually have to milk a bowl for 5-6 hits to get everything. I can plow through the same amount with the Herbie in 2-3 hits, even less if I use the fan and power hit it.
As far as the temps I stay about 390-420, and 445 for concentrates. I have played with lower temps and it is definitely uplifting and a different experience. I am usually not vaping throughout the day so by the time I get to Herbie I want the higher temps.
I don't know how much success you've had using concentrates with the Minivap, but with the Herbie it works very well. I didn't have much success with the minivap.
Bags are great, it's nice to have the option, when friends are over you have 4 bags, so people can have their own bag- very nice.
I should also add, you can irritate your throat with the minivap if you are not careful, where with the Herbie, you almost dont even have to think about it.. high temp, slow pull, fast pull, doesnt matter it will not mess with your throat much at all.
Hope this helps.. Minivap and Herbie make a great pair, no question about that! :D

Made me think. If terpenes have the lowest boiling points then they are probably the first to reform into solids in condensation. Seems reasonable?

Sounds like a good explanation. It might also have something to do with more conduction happening in the minivap. Maybe with pure convection the terpenes aren't releasing as quickly?

What brush do people like to use with their magnetic bowl? I need to build up the perfect accessory list for my Herbie. I am slowly getting my routine down so this is just as efficient as my EVO routine. The brush that came with the herbie is not bad but after only 2 weeks it is already starting to fray.

I use the brush that came with Herbie.
It is replaceable, if worn.
It feels the perfect resistance, and shape.
a ladies eye makeup brush could work... but careful, some are not made for proximity to heat.
Preserve the Herbie brush by sweeeping as with a broom .... dragging the hairs of brush (45º angle), rather than brushing with bristles at 90 degree angle to bowl.
