Need help deciding on first vape

Hello all, I am looking into purchasing my first vaporizer. I have been reading reviews and such on this site, and have narrowed my search to three. Vapolution 2.0, dabuddha and the herbal aire. I am mostly concerned about efficiency, strength of hits and ease of use. I really like the sound of the vapolution's GonG experience, but I am worried about the ease of use that comes with it. Also I found the dabuddha and herbalaire for around $140 from vaporseller.com. Is this site legit? Looking for input from people who have used these vaporizers and can help me with my decision. I will be mostly hitting them dry but maybe get a water bong setup eventually. I also like the idea of bags with the herbalaire, but only on occasion when i have people over.

Make sure to check out the "logs" (Underdog, E-nano, Hi) if you haven't already.

I've never used a Vapolution 2.0, but both the HA and DBV are good units. If I was in the market with your criteria (a log meets all three), then I'd go with the DBV.

DBV hits harder than the HA. Neither are super efficient (compared to logs), but with @Tweaks mod (http://imgur.com/a/z0JfT), or his other mod with a "mini" wand, conservation shouldn't be too bad with the DBV.

As for ease of use, the HA wins that hands down. Put some in, turn the knob, and hit. No learning curve of combustion at all. Plus it does bags if you rally need it to.

My max budget is around $150, the e-nano looks interesting though. Will logs give me the same hit size as the others?

The DBV, fully loaded, gave me the heaviest hits. But....My UD gives me as much vapor as I can take in at one time, so I am very satisfied with "hit size".

I've got an E-Nano - it cured my vape acquisition syndrome (except I bought a new more exotic version with custom wood). It is extremely efficient, and the first vape I've ever owned which can vape a whole tiny unground nugget (stirring occasionally to break it up as you vape - talk about flavor!).

It's slow to get up to temperature - 10 minutes before the temperature fully equalizes - but I usually keep my log running 24/7 (I turn it down when not in use, so the heatup times are shorter). However, when fully running - the nano will keep up with vapes even twice as expensive.

Also the nano is sexy as hell and tiny (about the size of a redbull can!). But I love handing it to anyone and saying "let her rip!" - it's literally heat on tap.

There's a 10% off coupon (FCLOVE) for the nano - so you'd be at $179 I believe plus shipping for a standard wood (Maple, walnut, or cherry).

But one thing to remember is that while the Nano is great when used dry - it's REALLY awesome when you get a GonG adapter and connect it to a water path (the cheap glass bubblers thread in the glass section has pieces as low as $30 shipped which will blow your mind in terms of quality)

With my GonG and the Nano - I can milk literally any piece of glass I own (6 pieces and counting!) - Efficiency is great (though I fucked combustion recently, so that helped my consumption) - it's to the point where my monthly medical expenses have been cut to practically nothing (from $400 down to about $80).

You've narrowed it down to three solid, time-tested and cost effective units...nice job! Don't sweat the decision too much as I think you will be happy with any of them. If you want the best tasting one get the VAP2. DaBuddah will probably give the the thickest hits if you prefer a punch to the face. The Herbalaire is durable, efficient, tasty and multi-functional. The bottom line is they will all get you there, they do it a little bit differently, and they are all really good at what they do. The only thing I would say is if you get the VAP2 and are coming from smoking, turn it up to 2:30 on the dial at first as you switch over to vaping.

herbalAire warranty should be good no matter where you buy. DBV is a different story-7th Floor does care where you buy. That one is going to provide the biggest hits right out of the box though, and is easy to use. Efficiency is mostly up to the user. Vapes that easily hit big, like the DBV, are going to encourage you to hit big, although you can certainly control your hit size. All the models mentioned will vape efficiently. If you buy a big hitter and take big hits all the time, you're going to use more herb- no way around that. A model that restricts air flow somewhat with direct draw, like the herbalAire or e-nano, can also be used with a water tool in order to easily boost hit size.

No, and "the others" aren't equal to each other either, nor are all log vapes the same.

I think I have narrowed it down to either the vapolution 2.0 or the UD. Does the UD need ground herb or un-ground like the vapolution? I really like both of these models, just not sure which is right for me. I am really liking the aesthetics of the UD and they are on sale which helps. Also which one has better dry hits and will be easier to hook up to a water bong?

Very few models don't do better with grinding the bud. The Vapolution and herbalAire are designed to use pieces instead of ground, for different reasons. I've owned them both, and loading chunks is the way to go, but those two are the exceptions.

What's your definition of a "better" hit? Size wise, vapes provide the hits they're designed to produce according to the diameter of their vapor paths.

I use ground for the UD. It will vape small unground pieces, but it's better ground IME.

If you go with the UD, you get 4 stems of your choice. The GonG 14mm is very easy to connect to a water piece. There is also a nylon-on-glass for 18mm pieces.

Better hits to me is flavor and size. I am starting to lean for a log. I am liking the UD and nano a lot. Does the UD come with a vvps to control temp? Or do i need to purchase separate? Are there any other main differences between the UD and nano besides built in temp control? Also is there any benefits the vapolution over a log?.. besides the price obviously.

The UD doesn't need a VVPS (the one of the left isn't connected to a VVPS), you can adjust temp by screen placement. The VVPS isn't always needed.

The UD has different stem options. Longer heatup (15+ minutes). I would prefer a log over the Vapo, they are easier vapor production with a stronger hit always.

I recommend the Hammer if you want the best of both worlds.
