I am not so sure the bag has any inertia to push the vapor... Your breath controls the speed imo... It hits ya so hard cause they are ginormous hits that are quite difficult to get with direct hitting. Even with bubblers and bongs it's hard to get such big hits.

Just made a VL from a 3 liter apple juice bottle. Almost can't finish it. Takes pretty much my entire breath. Just killer.
Would love to see a 5 gallon bottle Vapor Lung some day. Will take the GTV and a few bowls to fill it.

Hey Alan, do you get more hits with the 3 liter. I'm ready to make one but it seems from all the videos that people are only getting one hit. Is that the case? One hit and refill or is blowing back into the bag just so you can get the rest of the vapor? When my kid brother and his buddies use bags it looks like they fill them and pass the one bag around the room, but they are using bag vapes.

3 lt is quite a big vapor lung and for many people it's too big of a hit so it can be shared between 2 or 3 people. I find even the 1,5lt is too big for one hit and split it in two... It also depends on the vape and the density of the vapor in the bottle. If it's too thick it could better be shared with more people.

Thanks, I was just puzzled because it seems like people are filling the 2 liter bottles and just taking one big rip and done. I haven't seen anyone take a second or third hit yet. I gotta get one of these done pronto.

Wanted to give this another go last night since I've had a sore throat recently & figured the Zero restriction & cool down time was perfect for that.

Unfortunately my house had no adequate bags for contructing one soo.....

I made a vapor gravity bong!!
Plus this way the only air leaks I have to worry about are in the cap (& I fixed that by buying a 18/14 reducer instead of using the joints of broken downstems) no more bag to worry about & it works great! Love this forum

i've really got to try it out some day with a friend who used to combust with gravity bongs and now converted to solo. :)

My relatively-new-to-cannabis husband and I bought our Arizer Solo a couple years ago but we never really liked it as much as our Vapor Genie. We were thinking of selling the Solo until a friend of mine linked me to this thread! I literally made a vapor lung in 15 minutes with a 2-liter soda bottle, a small plastic bag from HMV, and some duct tape, and most of that time was spent drilling the hole in the cap for the glass stem to fit into! You guys have breathed new life into our Solo with the vapor lung (pun intended). I'm quite thankful indeed!

That is great girl! The Solo is indeed transformed, when you mate it with a vapor lung, into a fog machine! It is the perfect match to the vapor lung imo!

Okay, so: Gold Peak Tea bottle, jet lighter, packing tape, and a large produce bag= awesome experience! It was really easy to make, I used packing tape around the raw bottle edges, because I am a Klutz and didn't trust myself to evenly and safely melt the edges smooth. The bag had a couple pinholes, so I taped them over and there is no problem with leaking, and the Tea bottle is fairly sound of structure.

I'm about to have some teeth out, and cannot take any -codones*, or percocet*, which is what the dentist is going to Rx. So, I was going to make a gravity bong, when I remembered this thread. It is a good thing, too as it will be much more convenient to use the lung.

*make me violently ill.

If noisyness isn't that important (loud parties vs quietly watching a movie) you'd easily take the bags you'd use for the volcano?

Regarding re-breathing; years ago I put minimal amounts of weed into my bong, smoke it up, exhale into a bag and repeated that until the bag was full, then using the bag with rebreathing until I got a good amount of THC into my lungs instead of blowing them away. And no, I did not die due to carbondioxide poisoning (although i was cautious from time to time, taking fresh air breaths in between)

This looks sick! Gonna make one soon for my Solo! Would help so as to not have to take annoyingly long hits that dont even fill your lungs.

Would love to try and make a 5 gallon one too :D party time with that haha

It's sick alright and works wonders! :D ALready tried big ones but it doesn't work that well… A water bottle is your best bet. It worked the best for me! Just pay attention to the details of construction and the Solo will become a lean mean fogging machine and it will taste better than what it does natively!

Why don't the big ones work well? It seems like they would if you loaded multiple bowls

They don't need multiple bowls, one is enough even for a big one, the problem is that the bigger the bottle, the easier for the side walls to be sucked in and ruin the suction… Except if you manage to find a big one with really hard plastic or somehow you make it out of glass or stainless steel! :brow:

Don't those big, blue 5 gallon ones have pretty stiff sides?

ΟΗ ΜΥ!!! These are the five gallon ones??? I take it back and I would love to see this in action!!!:rockon: The hole might readily accept a 18/14 reducer as well now that I think about it… It could be the most awesome party thing ever!!! :o Good luck finding a bag for these beasts though… A food bag that is.

Trying to find a good, safe way to fit the cap. Due to my lack of supplies, I was melting the cap with a lighter and attempting to press in the GonG so the plastic would solidify around it... the plastic started getting black, so probably not good. Any ideas for someone without a drill or skewer? I have scissors.. lol
