The Lotus is a great vaporizer for those familiar with smoking from a bubbler/pipe - but it can be hard for a newbie to vapes to learn

Another vape to look at is the Solo - it's the most popular damn vape on this site currently (at least if you look at the number of posts and views!)

wyatt herb

topgreen x-max. stealthy, works nice and one of the cheapest batterie powered vapes

Lot of discussion on this topic. You should do your own reading as well as take advice from this forum (including myself) before making a decision. It will probably boil down to: Pax, MFLB, Lotus, Solo, Ascent, or Pinnacle Pro. Seems like a lot to take in, but there are many reviews out there, and comparisons too.
Personal stance (in order): Pax preferred (note: about 2x price of solo), then Solo, Wispr, MFLB. (portable experience).
Solo provides similar experience to the pax but uses a convection vapor path as opposed to conduction so there is slightly better taste in that regard. Pax wins though in stealth factor (no straw, comfortable usage in public), form factor (similar to other handheld ecigs that are portable), and it's roughly equal herb usage (using screen method- look it up).
Still I side with the Solo as a purchase due to similar performance at nearly half the price and with more controllable temperatures.

Noteworthy: You could consider the performance comparison of a portable vape and a plug-in the difference between a laptop and a desktop computer. Huge difference. Assess what your needs are and which you actually need. (If you are at home and just need something for time to time use, a log vape [like the underdog] or the sort might suit your needs and surpass your expectations)

Thanks for all the input currently researching the solo and lotus...i definitely need something stealthy for time to time use outdoors but mostly used indoors. Smell concealing preferred but not necessary. Will get back to you guys with my decision soon

Thanks again

I have a good buddy who wanted to try vaping and wanted the easiest reasonably priced vape that had no learning curve and was very clandestine. He ended up with the FlowerMate Vapormax V and likes it very much. I recently ordered one in the MassDrop, but don't have it yet so can't review it myself.

I love my Lotus, but with the butane torch it really isn't stealthy.

Some vapes smell less than others, all the true convection portables vapes smell less: TV evo, FW, Minivap and all the flame powered vapes I tested.

In opposite conduction vapes smell more: T-Vape, Xp, Pax...

Most of them are craps, but the I-mag/X-mas seems good (but I didn't try it) or the T-Vape but it's bigger than an e-cig, actually there is no really small pen vapes which work (we are waiting for the Grasshoper).

The new 05 needs improvements before to be really good but it looks promising!

Lol, good luck finding a quality vape for raw flowers that's 100% stealth. The closest you can get to stealth is probably the Pax, which has a harsh taste and requires frequent cleaning

I passed over the Solo because it looks bulky and much less sexy than some other vapes on the market - but it's really not that big, and if you're creative, easy enough to conceal

A torch heated vaporizer isn't very stealthy or discreet
I'd look into the flowermate, imag, firewood
The solo seems like a good option if you don't mind something a little larger. It's probably not as big as you're expecting. One review I watched showed the guy pulling it out of his front jeans pocket

I'm going with the imag + myself. It warms up fast, gives big thick hits, good battery life, super portable and quick and easy to use.

Also look into the flight box and similar(palm 2.0)

Nothing other than edibles is truly stealth. The problem with my PAX is the thing takes a minute and a half of cooking to warm up and it stinks to high heavens while doing so. I would assume most other small, "stealthy" vapes are the same. Any conduction vape is going to take time to heat up and that kills the stealth factor. I try to use only seriously high quality flower and it stinks! And the problem with the Lotus is I don't think you can put it in your pocket until it cools down a bit. With my VG I can have it packed and in my pocket, and as long as I can find 10 seconds to stay out of the public eye, I can rip a hit and put the unit back in my pocket immediately. I don't even have the VG coil, which would be more stealthy as it doesn't look like a traditional pipe.

While I agree that the Lotus isn't really stealthy, it is the Torch that makes it that way for me. They recently somewhat resolved the pocketing issue with their leather pouch. I haven't tried it...

When I first started vaporizer hunting years ago, I was overly preoccupied with stealth. Not sure why, I was combusting at that time with pipes and bongs anyway. Not like i combusted stealthily before, right? I ended up making tradeoffs to gain stealth that I didn't really appreciate.

At that time (living in non legal state) I wasn't going to vape out and about anyway, regardless of how sneeky I can time. I had rather sit behind the bushes or go up on to the roof, or find and empty room. And there is nothing stealth about grinding bud and packing a bowl.

Today, I prefer a device that takes up little space in my bag, and is efficient with my time. If a device can get me medicated in 2 or 3 minutes, I dont need to vape in public.

YMMV

the MFLB is truly stealthy. 5 second heat up time, instant off and uses a small load. You can be done before anyone knows you took it out of your pocket.

most pens are designed for concentrates and will combust dried herb

I would highly recommend the Imag+/x-max. Quality pen style vaporizer from China for only $78. There are a couple threads in the portable "Thread Candidate" section that you could check out for reviews and pictures.

Elevape Smart Vaporizer. Most stealthy dry herb vape I've ever used.

It is stealthy and practical enough to actually be life-changing for me.

Pricey.

Haze is an option too. Low smell. Dual bowl for convenience. Does herb, wax and oil interchangeably. It also has removable batteries and is pretty small for the stealth factor. It really is the jack of all trades for a portable and a great solution if you can stomach the $250 price tag. Good luck!
