After I sent the serial number I tossed the box, I saw no point in keeping it and I was frustrated. ... I was impatient and frustrated and did not give you and customer service the same respect I demanded. Please accept my sincere apologies!

Apology accepted -- and welcomed! And I do definitely understand where you are coming from. There are a LOT of companies out there who are considerably less "nice" that I would wish. With people having so many frustrating experiences with so many companies, it is not surprising that we occasionally end up dealing with people who will assume the worst -- regardless of whatever we actually do! Our usual rule is to treat people at least a little bit better than we are ourselves treated. Seems to be a good rule in life -- has served me well at least.

Does anyone have this problem: When you tap it over and shake it around, the bud gets in the groove between the clear acrylic screen and the wood (closer to the battery part). I think there is a groove because of metal thing towards the battery. Anyways this is kind of a pain and was curious what people have done to overcome it, etc... thanks!

Hi,

That groove is part of the air inlet -- you need it for the Box to work correctly. As with any multi-function design aspect, there are some compromises to be expected. I would recommend leaving it alone as it tends to clear automatically on the next draw. If things get stuck there (sticky, etc), use the brush to clean it out from time to time.

Yeah the 2pc grinders don't grind fine enough, now I want a coffee grinder haha... funny funny.

Love the MFLB so far, a half a trench set me and my friend to the sky last night.

You dont have to flip it over. I just tap the side of my box and my herbs rollover nicely.

If I had an account on youtube I would make a video of how to tap and roll without getting any herb outside of the trench. Maybe someone else can get footage and show people how to do it.

I will do this... Tonight I'll try to make a clip, if someone wants to upload it, you can let me know and I'll send it to you. Best I can do. (I don't want to fool with the whole youtube thing) Call me paranoid. :uhoh:

Every LB owner should learn how to tap the Box to get the load where you want it. A video on tapping technique would be great.

Tap-and-roll is a good technique but it's not a complete solution. It's great when you can use it but there are other ways to cause the problem Elluzion originally described. For example, any time you put a loaded LB in your pocket, some stuff will probably fall into that groove. Same thing is likely to happen if you flip the box over or shake it as soon as you finish hitting (which I often do). Obviously you can't use tap-and-roll after that. Tap, yes. Lots of tap.

So sundaddy, how about it? If you have tap-and-roll mastered, I bet it would easy to extend the video a little bit to show how you use your mad tapping skills to get everything back into the trench.

Not really a direct Magic Flight question but does anyone vouch for a certain grinder that gets their bud nicely ground for the LB? Sharpstone vs. Space Case vs. any other brands? I want to conserve some money and the sharpstones look pretty good to me.

I'm using a Mendo Mulcher, which people say is way too coarse and not really good for any vapes. Maybe, but I have no probs at all. I've compared it with my friend's Space Case and the SC particles do look a little bit finer. However, over the Labor Day weekend we compared both grinds in both an SSV and the MFLB and they both vaped nearly identically. I say nearly because one of us thought the MM vaped -better-.

I have also played a bit with the micro-grinder that came with the MFLB. Its really cute - and actually effective. Its not as convenient as it has no storage nor kief chamber, but the size is right and it really grinds perfectly, especially on the go or in a pinch. I think its a great match for the MFLB because they have the same pros and cons... yes there are better grinders than that little thing, but not really any that are smaller. Yes there are "better" vapes out there, but not that fit in your pocket. And the micro grinder works brilliantly with the LB as its the perfect size to dump right into the trench.

So I use the MFLB with MM when I am home; either when I don't want to wake my family; the MFLB is the best insomnia cure I have ever found!. I also grab it if for some reason I don't want to wait for the SSV to warm up.

I use the LB with its micro-grinder on the go, and its great.

I feel that the debate over grinders is mostly academic and/or for connoisseurs to debate over a glass of brandy into the early hours of the morning. If its a quality grinder (no metal flakes coming off, not made of plastic, precision milled to have the teeth come as close as possible to each other), it will work just fine. The advice to take a good hit, then "grind" the now toasted load with your fingers in the trench is good. I don't always do it, but I do notice that when I do, the flavor perks up a little.

Ordinarily, losing the white ring isn't important, they're just cosmetic.

In your case I suspect the ring came off because the battery vented. The battery is probably damaged and if it were mine I'd throw it away.

Venting means overcharging has occurred. This means you need to consider your charger. If it is an older dumb fast charger (two hours or less) then it might not detect when to stop charging. How hot are your batteries after a charge cycle? If they're too hot to hold in your hand then dump the charger before it ruins all your batteries.

I have a 2pc. Space Case grinder (small), and it doesn't grind fine enough. It grinds pretty well, but not to a salt like consistency. The best way is to probably use a coffee grinder or grind with a grinder and hit it once , take it out and crumble between fingers and put it back.

Wish the space case would have been a finer grind, but oh well.

Question about stems: should i be worried only about the larger stem at the bottom of the bud? or the smaller stems as well? what do you guys think???

I know it seems obvious, but i just want to be thorough. ha

I'm meticulous about removing stems when I combust (or used to, I am pleased to say). However, I find that the grinder tends to seperate them out well, and since they don't "burn" they just do nothing, and get tossed with the ABV. So in short, I don't sweat it and don't notice their presence. The fiber and chlorophyll which tastes so horrible when burned simply doesn't combust, so doesn't pose a problem when mildly introduced to your vaping blend.

My stems go right into the ABV jar too.

I'm gonna get a box in the next couple weeks, is there an option to buy without the grinder somewhere online?

I think the Cosmic Case is the best manual grinder, 2pc med vs. Space Case 2pc medium = Cosmic Case seems to grind it finer, it costs less and is made in the USA! I think it is the highest quality manual grinder available on the market.

You can just use the space case grinder and then after vaping for a bit go back to the herb and break it with your fingers. This is what I do to get a finer grind.

I use the micro-grinder exclusively, as I have nothing else at the moment. Like others have said, it works beautifully w/the box -- you fill it, grind, open, mate to trench, tap, brush out kief over trench -- done, no mess no fuss. Gets the mixture as fine as a coffee grinder (sometimes depends on the stickiness of the herb).

On the flip side, the micro grinder is hard to hold. I drop it often when grinding as it slips from the fingers. It gets clogged w/resin and I have to scrape the edges every 4-5 uses. Good, not great.

I would love to find a medium sized or just better grinder -- but don't really know of one that will get it as fine as nicely. I have tried a coffee grinder, but don't much like using it. Very open to suggestion --

They do not list the power rating: drhowardfine thinks they may be, 1400 mAh.

You need at least 2000 for the MFLB
