The Lotus Vaporizer

Welp, I've been wanting a good portable ever since I started vaping with my LSV and with the 15% off sale this weekend I just might have to jump on this.

From what I can tell the J hook package is the best bang for you buck? $117 for the Lotus, WPA, lighter, and J hook glass piece.

It depends on your needs whether or not to get the J-hook or the aluminum stem.
The J-hook is awesome for learning and allows you to really fine tune each draw, during the draw while watching the vapor develop.

That said, I still prefer the aluminum stem. Far more durable, and not very flashy at all- perfect for travels.

Either way you go, getting the WPA is an absolute must IMO so if you get the aluminum kit do plan on adding a WPA to the order. Of course the J-hook comes with the WPA so it may make your decision easier.

For colors, I really think the turquoise just pops out, but from what I read the natural finish wears the best over time.

I will agree with @FlyingLow on everything he said! As for the color, the natural finish is much more durable and resilient but if you can grab the vapor cup pouch as well and be gentle with your new toy either color will last a long time...

Anyone dithering about getting a lotus the 15% discount is great. I used the 420 discount to get my spare (still unused) and UK customs missed the imposition of import taxes which was a gamble that paid off.

I find the lotus gets the abv a nice even colour. The solo holds a bit more and gets a lot more clouds the abv is uneven though. I've used the solo twice in 3 weeks. My Pnp not since June but the lotus all the time.

I love the involvement the lotus gives out and how over time my technique has been honed I can even rescue an overfilled bowl which is frequently.

I received my j-hook lotus kit and must I say this thing is AWESOME! I love the control of hit size, the control of heat, the need for only tiny packings of material... everything. This thing blows the extreme q away. The flavor is outstanding!
Welcome to the club!!! And it'll only get better with time! :D

By the way all, I got the herb scoop for the Lotus and do not recommend. Well it is nice and small, but the problem is that it ships flat, meaning one has to construct it by folding it up. Didn't realize this when I bought it, thought it came as a single piece, no cracks. I'm sure a really well folded up one would have minimal cracks. Anyway, I ended up breaking one trying to adjust it. So if you get one, be careful!

I actually use an old scoop that came with a vitamin/pre workout type drink mix. Works fine, no cracks, and it doesn't really matter that it's plastic because it's never getting hot or going into my mouth.

Yeap! It has been mentioned before and would be a nice addition for heavy heaters… Isn't it better though to lower a tolerance than continuously going for a bigger hit? Look what happens with dabbers… They just can't get enough while most of us get hiiiiiiigh with just a pinch or less! :ko:

I'd use both TBH. Would be a way to sell new ones to existing Lotus culters. Also would help me avoid the temptation to smoke a pure one when I need a fat blast.

Dabbing is not that common in the UK. But it does seem to end up in some kind of arms race to a high tolerance.

I had a little over 2 weeks abstinence recently really reset my tolerance.

I'd definitely get a larger bowl one if one was available

I have been using my lotus scoop as long as I have had it and love mine, even use it with other vapes.

Stinks yours broke. If you bend the metal back and forth, the metal will fatigue. It holds up well if you just bend it once.

Same here. I bought two scoops at one time just in case I broke one. Haven't needed to even fold it yet! I like my Lotus scoop - it's the perfect size to gauge my load sizes - never more than two scoops for a max load! Yes, my scoop did have cracks where the walls joined the base at first. But those have long since clogged up with kief and are no longer an issue

I'd be interested in a large bowl sized lotus:rofl:

Wasn't the bowl size even smaller on the original lotus pipe stem ?

Wife just surprised me that she put in an order for the Lotus with J-Hook kit today! Been trying to read as much as I can to familiarize myself with it and very excited to get my paws on it. Going to look for a good torch and fuel on Amazon in preparation for its arrival.

Saw some sweet pieces around page 163 or so, fighting the urge to start collecting :)

Dear Friends,

In my time away I have become exceedingly acquainted with the Lotus.

I want to write a full review with anecdotes and nuances associated with the device, but...
it'd just be easier to blow happy clouds of vapor and assure FC that all is quite well.

Welcome to the Lotus Club! If by piece you mean glass, the D020--2--W comes highly recommended, especially paired with the Lotus.

My Labor Day special Lotus was delivered. I tried it with the WPA so I could see what it was producing and if my technique was okay based on everything I've read. I'm very happy with the results. I was surprised that it came with an extra plate, which raises the question how do you damage the plate? The long stem and sleek lighter were nice upgrades. First impression of the Lotus is why did I wait so long?

Welcome to the club and enjoy! "Why did I wait so long" is the most frequent first thought about the Lotus I think!

I'm definitely enjoying some wonderful Lotus blooms. I'm sure there's a learning curve, but I've combusted a few times. I can't read through 184 pages. It tastes much better than my Pax, I still love my FF, but the Lotus is delivering big time. I hope a part-time job of charging batteries doesn't become a part-time job of filling a lighter. The final result with all of these devices seems better than my trusty old DBV.

You should get it in no time! It becomes second nature very soon, just like when you drive a manual car or a motorcycle. And if you are having trouble, we are here for you.Filling lighters is nothing compared to charging batteries! It takes secs and maybe you do it once per day if you are a heavy-ish user…. Just remember bigger flame/flame closer to the hot plate/slower draw=hotter temps and the opposite, and you get there fast! Also ideal inner flame size = the distance between the lotus petal tips on the hotplate!

Wait, so the inner flame is supposed to correspond in length to the distance between two petal tips? I thought the entire flame – outer flame and all – was supposed to be roughly that length. Wouldn't having the inner flame at 1/2" lead to a lot of accidental combustion?

:hmm:
