Hello All,

I'm new here but have been visiting for a while!
I have a dilemma and could use some advice for a new vaporizer from more experienced users. I have had a Vapir No2 for almost two years and thought is was a great vaporizer. But being more concerned with health issues, I decided to get a model that does not use plastic. After some looking, it seems like Arizer products are some of the best values to be found and they seem like quality machines as well.

Ideally I would like to get both but that is not possible at the moment. I think I should get the solo but feel like I would be missing out on the Extreme Q. I also like the ability to take my vaporizer around the house with me but I am not committed to that. Now my questions about each:

1) I read that the solo can be difficult to breathe through due to small air openings. Anyone know how this compares to the No2?

2) I don't use much "flower" at all and being efficient is important to me. I worry about how much more material the Extreme Q will use compared to my old No2 which seemed very efficient! When filling up the Extreme Q's cyclone bowl, is for one session or can you get multiple quality sessions from the same bowl? I also read about packing the elbow to make it more efficient. Can anyone comment on how big of a deal it really is to do daily and compared to a No2, how much material does it use?

3) How does the quality of vapor compare to each other? Is there really a big trade off from the Extreme Q to the Solo?

4) While these are the models I am leaning to, I am open to other suggestions (besides a MFLB due to me trying to teach my wife on how to properly use does not sound like fun). My current budget is $150.00.

Thank you for a great community and the suggestions!

Get the solo, you won't be disappointed. There definitely is a restricted draw but IMO that is actually a good thing. It makes it very easy to use as you don't have to concentrate on your draw technique in order to produce good vapor, the biggest problem people have is they try to suck faster than the air can move through it which cause then to run out of breath, if you just slow your draw to the point that you aren't sucking then it becomes effortless. It has small loads so that is perfect for you from what you have said. The clouds that the solo can produce always amazes me for a portable, it is often said that the solo is one of the few portables that can compete with many desktop vapes.

I haven't used the EQ so I can't say much about it but I have read that you can pack just the elbow screen to use a smaller amount than packing the cyclone bowl. I find that coming back to a partially vaped bowl (from any unit) is never as good as a fresh bowl so I try not to pack more than enough for one sitting.

Almost there...
If the draw on the Solo bothers you, buy this:

The EQ will use a lot more herb than the solo.
The solo you can take anywhere with you, the EQ you are either using a whip or a bag near the vape.

In the end it all depends on what is most important to you.
If you want to take it on the go with you, buy a portable.
If you have a central place you will be using it mostly at, get a desktop unit.

Also look at the Toasty Top (desktop), Pinnacle (the pro is coming soon! - portable)

What i did was read all the threads on vapes that interested me.
Open up a separate page to check prices, reviews etc...
Easy to narrow down your choices then!

I vote for the EQ I'm betting I'll be the only one. I use my vape everyday I don't want to buy another when the Solo battery craps out. I don't know jack about battery chemistry but how many times could it take a charge I'm betting around 500 times after that it's buy another Solo or replace the battery that was never meant to be replaced. It does sound like not that big of a deal to replace.

But then again if I had around $150 to drop on a vape maybe the best idea would be to get something like the HI. I think it has a waiting list.

Oh I forgot the elbow pack on the EQ is easy it's the only way to use the EQ and only takes a little to pack.

I have both the Solo and the EQ. I would say EQ with Frogboy. I think the EQ does a better job than the Solo, even though the Solo is good. My usual routine is to hit the EQ and then later the Solo when I'm in another room. You can pack the EQ elbow screen with as much or little as you like and still have good performance.

The EQ can easily be adapted and upgraded later when you want to get into all that...I would get the EQ and the save up for the Solo. eBay is your friend.

Why Do You Feel The Plastic Would Be A Health Issue . Since Its Not Really A Problem . I have never heard or read any Factual Info that would point to the plastics being used in the NO2 or Other Vaporizers presenting any risks to your health .

EDIT : don't eat it or burn it in the fireplace but other then that its safe .

My first vape was the EQ and I did like it a lot. What I did not like was the massive amount of cleaning it needed and the smell of all of the parts while it was not in use. I had to zip-lock everything in order to keep it under control.

EQ is a weed hog the Solo is not......I have both and recently purchased a Nano. My suggestion is get an E Nano from epicvape. Or an exotic ordered through @Snappo .

I just noticed this is an old thread.....oops

The OP hasn't been on the forum since his first post a year ago. When it's a 'what should I buy?' thread, you need to make sure it's current. One post, that long ago, says the member is long gone.
