Distilled Glass, a quality recyceler at a very reasonable price

I just heard back from Mike :D:clap::tup::rockon:

Awaiting a total price for both the single and double since he wasn't quite sure what to quote for the double recycler because he has never made one before! Looks like @CrazyDiamond and myself get to be test subjects for Mike

Here were my final spec requests I attached to the reply email I just sent to Mike:

SINGLE RECYCLER:
Almost the same piece you made for @llamaman001 seen here http://fuckcombustion.com/threads/d...celer-at-a-very-reasonable-price.15007/page-6 with the following adjustments:

1) height 12 inches (I think his was 14 inches so I just want mine to be a little smaller)
2) 18mm female joint
3) the same 3 rings around the female joint tube like his
4) the single ring on the mouthpiece tube near the vortex chamber connection like his
5) a foot under the vortex chamber tube (to help make it look slightly different than the double recycler)
6) flared mouthpiece like Toro
http://aqualabtechnologies.com/scie...toro-glass-single-macro-with-black-label.html

DOUBLE RECYCLER:
1) about 10 inches in height
2) 18mm male joint
3) 2 rings around the male joint tube
4) same style mouthpiece as the Toro linked in the Single Recycler description
5) I want a tube to connect the top center of the two recycling chambers and then I want the mouthpiece tube to come off the top center of that tube. Here are some pics of that type of mouthpiece connection I'm trying to describe.

Thanks @blankrider! I'm glad to hear that. I'm sure he will do amazing. He really has this recycler and vortex business down.

PS - he emailed me a guesstimate for the double. You were right on with your guess about the double recycler price. You know this man all too well haha! Should be around $250 give or take. So the single and double should be around $400-$450 for both. I'm freaking happy to say the least!!

I've got the DD syndrome! No not for boobs, well okay yes for boobs, but also for Doughboy and Distilled glass since they have provided me with two double recyclers for under $600 total now. Most doubles I've seen cost $600 each and they aren't nearly as good as these two!! WINNER WINNER CHICKEN DINNER!

Told me the same thing about the double, hehe. Only criteria I gave him for the double is taller than a foot, 18mm female, fairly thick, slightly flared mouthpiece, and a strong base so a Cloud can go on it...other than that, I gave him free reign.

I am asking for donut perc in my next one but have not contacted mike just yet

There is a video of a showerhead recycler on his instagram

I wonder if different style percs effect the vortex. I know a lot of science goes behind getting the vortex that Mike produces. I'm good with whatever he thinks works best. His knowledge of recyclers is far superior to mine. I just know the type of design I want, that's about it haha.

I had asked Mike about another style perc (for greater diffusion) but he encouraged me to go with the inline, saying that another style was overkill. After getting mine, I tend to agree. The water does a great job with cooling. If you do another perc design, don't do it solely to get more diffusion because it is not needed.

I totally agree. I bought a recycler that has an inline with a honeycomb, its horrible for Vaping. I gonna see if an artist can fix it by removing the honeycomb

The honeycomb was specifically what I was considering. Sorry that you don't like yours but I'm glad to get some confirmation on my decision.

I'm assuming that you don't like the honeycomb due to the drag?

Honeycombs are known to have some of the lowest profile drag around (if it's done right) I would think that stackage would create too much turbulence in the piece for a nice vortex. IMO

It has massive drag. I believe its the combination of the two percs. The honeycomb on top of an inline. It doesn't vortex no matter what you do. It recycles but its a I'm in the mood for a heavy hitter piece. If you try to pull against the resistance it has it feels like its pulling you instead of vice versa. It provides the smoothest vapor though. Also holds a tub of water. Its by delta 9

the vortex... or funnel occurs due to a slight restriction on the return line... this provides a place in the funnel for water to build up. thats what makes a proper vortex recycler. the funnel area should fill up slightly .... extreme spin is then created bh the direction of the funnel intake. when placed at an angle it will create rotation... Combine with the restriction on the return you will get a nice vortex.

the perk on the other hand only really creates MORE diffusion... so far the tastiest recyclers have the simplest perks... like a capilary or in line.... donuts too... I should think frits and honeycombs would diffuse the flavors to much.

it doesnt have to vortex to be a recycler... but it does help...

I agree with less diffusion. Not only in terms of taste, but I find too much perc action restricts the uptake line with the stacking, which disrupts the flow and vortex.

My girl getting vaped out. Got the perfect combination of E-nano, carbed gong from @VaPeD&CoNfUsEd, and Distilled Glass recycler

I am sorry for the picture quality. I need to get a better camera to capture the beauty.
