JyARz Storage Containers

JyARz are cool containers. I've got one old school JyAr (no color, latex gaskets) and there's always something stored in there.
It's user-friendly, protects it contents and itself from almost everything and it's portable.
Well, JyARz are so simple and great I can't really say anything good about them that hadn't been said a hundred times already...
...and can't say there is anything bad about them because there simply isn't. :)

JyARs are perfect complement for regular jars.
Regular jars for long-term storage in dark.
JyARz for portability and everyday use.

Even if they look small, they can hold a lot.
One fully packed JyAR can last for days.

This is why I don't get why people want even bigger JyARz than the Satchmo.
That's probably for long-term storage and that's waht regular jars are for.
If I wanted to store a lot of buds long-term, then using a JyAR is an overkill.
I'll just use a large regular jar and put it in safe and dark place and it will do the same job as a JyAR.
JyARz are better than regular jars only when they're in constant use.

"That being said, I bought a 8oz of each. Id say about 5 grams of the Kosher is pictured there, while only 4 grams of the SSH fit in the other."

8 oz!? Wow, just wow, Carry on rockstar!

JyRz I love for everyday storage and fresh ground flower.
I like the small one.
Need more actually.
One for Hybrids
One for Indicas
One for Sativa
They have there use.

@DieHard I won't buy a glass piece that doesn't have a bridge support where the vaporizer goes.
Without support I break them the first session.

Nice setup ataxian. Is that a 14mm stand for displaying things in the bottom right corner of the 2nd pic? Looks very useful.

Dangus

Yeah, well, that's just, like, your opinion, man.
Received my Jyarz from massdrop on Friday, after playing with them over the weekend, I'd have to say I'm pretty happy; I think they also sold themselves to a couple folks checking them out too.

Very solid design. I like the size of satchmo, and agree with others that if an even larger version was made, I'd be inclined to pick it up.

Also pretty cool that 90+ people got in on that first drop, and already another 70+ people are requesting it again...perhaps it'll become a regular thing over there? Hopefully it was a good experience for Aldo too.

Cheers

Awesome seeing everyone get theirs!

I gotta disagree with ya @Seek , compared to Jyarz I think regular jars make awful long term storage containers (even when kept in the dark). I have done some longer term testing in the few months I have had my Jyarz and I find a much larger amount of moisture and flavor dissipates and is lost with regular mason jar storage- but what comes out of the Jyarz is still stinky and more potent.

Out of curiosity do you vacuum seal your Mason Jara?

I think Mason jars have their place. @John Lewus I vacuum seal mine and will say there is no equal for long term. I used to keep mine in the small mason jars for everyday use and jyarz are much better than mason jars for non vacuum seal storage, but if you want to keep a LOT fresh then vacuum sealing mason jars is the best. I really like not having to seal my jyarz up to keep them fresh tho. They are awesome for everyday use.

How do you seal them? Vacuuming=loss of flavor and using boiling water/pressure cooker doesnt sound right either.

Line a drawer with cedar and place 62% moisture retention bags.
Put your dozen Mason Jars in there.
The everyday jarz could go in between!
If it will be a while until you get to some of it just throw ýour jar In a vacuum bag and seal it!

Modernization!
Cherry Pie very good!
Blueberry trial coming right up!
Time to load my JaRz!
Edit: the Blueberry is worthy for a jaRz!

Look up the old as seen on tv product Pump n Seal. It works. I actually heard about it in a thread here. And no noticeable flavor loss. But I'm talking less than 6 months here. If you can leave herb unused longer than that, you've got more money than sense usually.

I have some flowers in a CVault that have been there for more than 6 months. I'm not rich, but I did pass the Mensa test. No, I didn't stay in a Holiday Inn Express last night.

I use CVaults for long term storage, and the JyARz for short term. I'm actually taking a page out of @Caligula 's book, and am using the Satchmo for concentrates. :)

Or what they call a green hand. Unfortunately for me I got neither. :(
Just buy what you need.
JaRz are good for everyday use.
if you store for longer periods it is nothing to do with money!
some people have different priorities than others.
some are geographically challenged!
some consume 1 gram per month others 15 grams a week,
it's not about money or talent!
It's about personal needs,
Money makes it easier of course.

I need more JaRz!

I see you left the word usually off my quote. There are exceptions, of course. No intent to offend. It's just a southern expression:lol: I too have some that's older than six months, so I may be lacking in sense myself now that I think about it.

Just got my blue satchmo and green classic MassDrop!

They are both awesome as expected! Though I rarely take them out of the plastic housing, but the logo on the classic insert is a great touch.

The Satchmo came with a minimal oder that will easily be overwhelmed by meds, but the Classic brought the funky funk- Looks like this one will be airing out a few days before seeing any herb. Are there any tips to expedite the de-functifying process?

I am SOOO excited to put these to use, and am ready to load em up!

That's weird. My JyARz never had an odor. I wonder why yours did.

It is just a chemical-type odor (I assume from the gaskets) that will air out in a day or two.
I assume it is just fresh from the factory.
I left mine open for an hour after receiving them and the smell is now gone.

Mine had very minimal odor but I disassembled, washed in Dawn detergent, rinsed well, and let them sit in pieces for a couple days. What minimal smell there was, seems to have disappeared

I am who I am and your approval isn't needed!
Received my massdrop a few days ago ( 1 of each color avail of the Satchmo & the Classic ), and am really digging the Satchmo over the Classics for at home  No more constantly knocking over my favorite storage/usage containers all the time on my desk now

Next to buy... those lil Chico's for some concentrates

Very well done overall @JyARz  I absolutely  your products and mind-thoughts.
