Low budget stealthy vape options?

(Please don't make any suggestions without explaining why)

Ok so I've been out of the loop for quite some time
I was looking to get get a firewood when they first came out, but never did. I had to quit cannabis for a new job, but as soon as I get drug tested I will be vaping again :)

I have owned a classic volcano for well over 10 years. It has served me well to say the least.

What I'm looking for is an ultra stealthy and compact vaporizer for quick sessions in public and on the go. I need something that can give powerful hits to cut down the session time to a minimum. Will be used for flowers/buds only

But the kicker is that I don't want to spend over a hundred.
Flavor isn't a big concern, but size, stealth and portability are
Warm up time must be fast, strong hits, no noise like with the hammer
And preferably no glass stem if possible

Another thing i should mention is that i would prefer not to carry around a glass stem in my pocket. Too easy to break

So I almost jumped on the flowermate vapormax massdrop deal, but didn't. I like that its so small and the stem is self contained. But the hits seem kind of weak/airy

The cheap titans seem fine for my needs since flavor isn't a huge concern, although hot vapor is not my cup of tea either. The bad taste seems to go away with some burn in and soaking of the rubber parts. Plus its the cheapest option at 40 plus free s/h. But how fast does it warm up and how thick/heavy are the hits?

Another at the top of my list is the imag and imag +. There are some good reviews on these and the price is similar to the flowermate

Launch box ... after you master your technique you can pull whatever size hit you'd like and achieve whatever color of abv you prefer. The learning curve turns some users off but there is no better portable imo. Life time warranty even if it's your fault? Can't beat it. Organic materials and one of a kind wood for each box ... I love these guys if you can't tell. The lb was the first portable I owned and have had a solo and PNP since but sold those two and bought a second lb because they're so great. Launch box all day for simple quick sessions big or small!

No offense but the vapes that you listed are Chinese and will not meet your needs the way an American (or Canadian) vape will ... (I prefer Japanese cars but American vapes are where it's at).

Edit: I'd also like to point out that the lb is one of the only portable vapes that isn't a session vape. The Lotus and Firefly are similar here but most portables are session vapes and don't heat up to vaping temps in seconds like the mflb does ... most (such as the solo) heat up slowly but are meant for a full bowl session whereas the mflb heats up in a second to produce vapor ... thing is a stealthy beast. I love it :ninja:

Man, I don't think that exists. The MFLB fits most all that criteria but it's not known as a strong hitter.

There are vapes that are made in China that are excellent, Da Buddha and the Ascent to name just a few. Some of the very best computers, televisions, phones, and a whole assortment of other electronics are also made in China. The issue is not that a product is made in China but rather WHO is making that product in China.

And, btw, just because a product is made in the USA does not automatically mean that it's a good product.

What's a session vape?

As a da Buddha owner I know it's excellence. However, it isn't made in China. Sure the heating element is but the the rest of the vape is crafted right here in beautiful CO. Never tried the ascent ...

A session vape is intended for multiple hits back to back or usually an entire bowl ... not a single rip here and there like you can do with the lb.

Edit: I see why you wouldn't understand with your 1 hit a night ;)

Yeah I was afraid of that. The imag seems promising, though

And since quality/durability is always a concern I'll keep the mflb in mind, even though I had passed it up initially. Thanks guys

From 7th Floors site: "We use foreign and domestic parts, but DBV® is finished, tested and sent through quality assurance here in the USA". Finished, tested and sent though QC does not mean that it is solely manufactured here.

The DBV that I had had a made in China sticker on it but that was about 4, maybe 5 years ago. Maybe things have changed.

I've been around this vape game for a very long time and this is the first time that I've ever head of this term or it's explanation. I'm still a bit confused. Most all vapes have heaters that require a bit of time between hits to come back up to full operating strength. The EVO along with bag vapes in general are the exception, along with possibly the Herbalizer.

The lb is instant on, instant off heating with the press of the battery ... most other portables I've tried take a while to heat up and retain heat very well making them good to pass around at a party or to just take multiple hits back to back whereas the lb can be used this way or it can be used as a super quick stealth vape unlike most others. Not many other vapes can be used this way ... that's all I'm saying.

I know you've been around for a while but "session vape" is common terminology around here.

As for 7th floor ... sure they use out of country parts but definitely build them here and have in house glass blowers and all. The cs service has always been good too which you don't get with some other companies out of country.

MFLB would be a good choice if your tolerance is low enough to be ok with one or two hits (quite weak hits no matter what your technique is) and you keep it in a smell proof pouch cause this little puppy stinks after a while using it...

Once again I would suggest the Lotus. It's not really stealthy in public but ime nothing is stealthy enough in public (except a PG/VG oil mix loaded in a e-cig with all the terpenes removed from the oil!) and especially closed spaces as weed stinks by nature!

I have found the perfect stealth to be excusing myself for a quick visit in a restroom or other secluded area, load my Lotus, finish the load in a couple of hits and be done in less than two minutes without anyone noticing anything!

I am not sure if the Indica gives strong enough hits to be done quickly but it kinda is a bit more expensive... Otherwise it could be the best option.

your aspirations and your budget appear to be at odds. Firefly, Ascent, Pax, and Indica arguably fit all your criteria except budget. You might have to raise your budget or make some compromises on your wish list. I've had success with the Iolite original, which delivers a nice session after a few minutes of heat up time, and it can be had around your price range.

lwien, I first came this session vs one-hitter business with a post by Pakalolo nearly a year ago.

You are wrong when you say the FlowerMate is not a strong hitter, it's the fastest vape I have at my disposal and the closest to a joint sensation-wise. I don't know why a few reviewers had this impression in the thread, maybe they have different expectations, but being full conduction I find it's a cloud machine.

I never managed to have someone cough with my Ascent or my Firewood, but with the FM several times people were not careful and took huge hits and it was way too much for them!

In fact I find that the FM extracts too much and too fast for my taste, my lungs can't absorb it all and I feel I'm wasting so much on exhale... But at least I have to admit that when I need a "quick fix" it's the one I reach, not the others.

My two cents.

PS: the new FM 5S has a glass straw but you can store it inside the device itself, so there is little risk of breaking it.

I agree with the lotus except for the stealthy part, the firewood may fit the bill though.

Thanks guys. I don't want anything that requires a torch. Even the hammer. Or lightbulb lol ;)

Looks like it will probably be the imag
Or maybe the flowermate. This you tube review makes the hits seem super weak though??

It's too bad your budget is so low. I have what I believe is the perfect stealth flower vape invented so far... the Elevape SV.

$260 from Vapornation. And so very, very worth it, in my opinion, from the few weeks' use I've had so far.

Sure hope I agree with you on this one, @Enchantre!
