Thanks Scott

Will take some pictures of the new Green and will post here by tomorrow. It is an interesting green tone. Looks metallic.

@trevorzamani ....I just edited my original post and got an answer back on the blinking. Not sure if you saw that because I think you read the original. I just wanted to point that out since you specifically asked. Scroll back and take a look.....

Can't wait for the pics on the green one. Thanks!

You notice any difference in the switch, door, ect.?
Looks like the switch, door and caps are all tighter on this model which feels great. I did not notice any other cosmetic change. I will report back on performance as soon as i use it with my dad. It is a gift so i have to wait, darn...

I will check with them but this seems strange.

Does this mean @Lets_Vape has an original run model? Where did you purchase from and when?

I probably do indeed, I ordered mine on the 11th just before they went out of stock from vaporseller.com but it was dispatched by VaporizerUSA like they all seem to be.

I'd really like to get this new firmware without the blinking as well, I understand what they intended to do but it just doesn't really work all that well even if I do wait between hits it just keeps blinking.
Also not being able to check whether it is past a certain temp level by cycling back is really annoying, so I'm glad they improved that and great to see they are actively improving this and listening to feedback

Other than that I've used mine a lot this weekend and have been enjoying it, the initial heatup time seems quite long though, I'll time how long it takes later

Yep. You probably got an original production run then.

If you are that hung up on it you might try to contact Haze and see what they will do for you (if anything). They have no obligation (per warranty) since these changes are more of a preference/minor modification and not impacting the performance. That said they may offer up something so it doesn't hurt to ask.

As for startup yep I agree but it's a known concern with the cans (which I use exclusively). This is something I think they are looking at.

If you are using either of the screens your increased time could be from a low battery too. Just keep that in mind that the battery power seems to have a strong influence on this device.

Thanks for the reply, I'll def see what Haze has to say.

Even though it would take longer to heat up the herbs with cans it shouldn't take longer to get to a temp level right? Surely the thermometer must get the chamber temperature

I just tried to time how long it would take to get solid lights at temp 3 (with a fully charged battery), after 5 full minutes of waiting the unit shut itself off and the lights had still not gone solid, but when I did notice it started to smell/produce vapor at around 3 minutes and when I took a drag after the 5 mins I was getting big clouds and it tasted like vaping at a very high temp so it seems like it is definitely getting up to temp but just never hits exactly that temperature

I would puff it slowly every 30 seconds or so and see when it starts to form vapor. It may be that the temp reading is wrong.

Cheers for the tip, I indeed resorted to doing that, I just thought that might be the reason why it wasn't reaching the temp initially as I would keep it under that temp because I was testing it for vapour so often

Haze has been purchased. cannot wait to try the bad boy out

Good to hear be sure to post a review when u receive and use it. What features about the haze grabbed ur attention?

Hey guys just came back from my first camping trip with my haze (and pax). The haze sure came in handy, she kept me right the whole time, 20 prepacked cans dry/concentrate, and 4 batteries. Charging wasn't too bad by the time my first two batteries were dead the other two were ready to go.

Wow I love this thing but I am not sure I would make that deal. You are giving up two great devices and more importantly you are giving up your backup vape. Everyone needs one of them!

In the end I am sure you will be satisfied! Please post your thoughts after you have had some time to get to know it.

But take it from a guy who had to go back to combustion when the Pax died (yuck). You need a backup so if you can budget one down the line it might serve you well.

the dual bowl feature is not that important to me. the thing that attracted me the most was the fact it can do concentrate without having to mix it in with your herbs. i also love the fact of the replaceable batteries. as of now i still have my pax. i will probably keep it for a bit and sell it for a hammer so i can have a butane backup for the apocolipse. cannot wait to get my hands on this thing and i will try to post a session video/pictures when recieved.

It may not seem all that important now but I am guessing once you have it you will appreciate the convenience more. I certainly do!

Sounds like you have a good plan. I hope it works to your satisfaction!

can you have both the bowls cooking at the same time or do you do one than another?

It only heats up one bowl at a time. The concentrate feature is what caught my attention in the first place also. The dual bowl feature is fantastic because u could have a dry herb session and a concentrate session all in one sitting. Trust me you will learn to love the dual bowl feature. Sometimes I mix my concentrate with my dry herb and it makes the session last an extra 15-20 min on top of the 15 min I usually get out of the dry herb. The flavor when vaping concentrates is there till the very last draw it's unmatched IMO.

I stuff roughly .25 grams of herb in each can. This is fine grind and packed pretty tight. You can use less if you want to and it still works great.

You can probably get a bit more in with just using screens but not too much more.

New to this forum and I'm so grateful to everyone for all the helpful info I've seen so far! I am really, really considering getting an Orchid Haze. If anyone has one, I'd love you forever if you'd post a video of it in action. At this moment of gadgetlust, I am most concerned with how hot the Haze is when it's in use. Reviews I've read have said that was one of the biggest complaints was that it got almost too hot to hold after a while. I'm going to want to put this in my bag with all my other gadgets so I'm concerned about it being really hot when I need to put it away quickly. I live in the desert, so it's always hot here and I fear the Haze would get even hotter while I'm out and about.

Anyone care to shed some light on that? I've been following this thread for a bit, but forgive me if I missed someone talking specifically about this issue. Since the new colors were released, I was wondering if Haze made any improvements on the temp control and how hot the unit gets to the touch. Thanks in advance!

Where do you recommend purchasing a Haze for the best price? (US) It seems like it's so new that not many places are carrying it yet nor at even and promo code discounts. I suppose it's just too new. I have an Arizer Solo, but it just doesn't travel well which is why I'm really interested in the Haze.

For starters the forum isn't find of double posts, if they are close enough u can use the edit button.(just a heads up)..

As far as the heat goes I don't really have any complaints but it does get hot and I can see why ppl would complain. This device does have a specific hand hold spot that doesn't get to hot it's where the battery goes in. If you hold it by the cover where the ovens go it will get hot. I'm assuming you are a female forgive me if I'm wrong but the bag comment made me think so, but if you are worrying about it damaging other stuff in there I doubt it will. As far as price goes you are right, it's brand new n it's a solid $250.(worth every cent IMO) I'm a fan of ordering directly from the manufacturer but they ship through vaporizerusa.net so it's up to you really the only deals you get are with the accessories as far as discount codes n what not. I hope I helped a bit and hopefully you join us in being a proud owned of a haze soon so you can give us your feedback. Good luck

Edit* also I'd recommend getting a dedicated case for the haze. I have many accessories and they all fit perfectly in there. It's nice to have everything you need all together.

I agree with Nick. It gets hot but really no worse than some other vapes out there. You just have to get accustomed to where to hold it. It will be uncomfortably warm but you really don't need to worry about burning yourself from touching it on the outside.
I myself have had to shove the mouthpiece in, close it up and stash it away quickly. No issues there so I wouldn't let the heat concern be a show stopper and keep you from purchasing.

Regarding where you get it....I am pretty sure it's all being fulfilled from the same place (vaporizerusa) so it really doesn't make much difference where you get it unless you can find a coupon code to work.

I got mine on preorder for 20% off from VaporizerUSA. However they have had promo's since then where the discount codes have not worked. In fact I haven't seen any code work anywhere since it's been released. You may need to foot the bill for the entire $250 at this point.

I also think it will more likely stay this way for a while since they have been able sell out their stock and have had to wait for new stock to come in. You may be able to find some codes work for a free grinder or possibly some other goodies but I doubt you will find a discount on the unit. Please come back and let everyone know if you get something to work.

I also agree with Nick on the case. My solution is posted earlier in the thread (along with Nick's). Mine is really better for storing at home unless you have a larger bag to take out. I keep my device, tools, extra batteries and up to 10 cans all in the case. Nick's case is better for just taking the unit but there is not as much room for extra's.

This brings me to my last point. Please take time to read the entire thread and/or use the search function. There are a few of us here that have been pretty active in answering questions so there is a lot of info out there. FC rules ask that members take the time to do this so there is not a lot of duplicated info. And yes..use the edit button rather than double post. The only exception here is when it's gone because too much time has passed between posts. Then you should generally start your second post with "edit button gone" or something like that.

Good luck and welcome!
