I can see clearly now the smoke is gone...
Nice vid. I kind of have an issue with the fact that he says with vaporization, you feel it faster and it is more relaxing.

Myself and everyone I know who vapes feel that it takes more of an onset time for vaping vs smoking. Also, I always get a more up high, not relaxing. I know that can be addressed partially by temp, but still...

What a beautiful video. The smile on her face after medicating for the first time was heart-warming. The rasta music was unnecessary though (but funny)!:lol:

I love how they blur out the Volcano badge as though nobody will know what brand they're using. I don't think this is a good demonstration of vapourizing in general, although it seems effective for the purpose of showing the patient how vapour helps. The explanation leaves a lot to be desired IMO, but this is a clip and we don't really know everything that was said and done.

Thank you.
Tough situation, my SIL and MIL both have/had mobility & health issues, and have been each others emotional and life support. SIL has been in a nursing home for a few weeks, due to needing IV antibiotics & other medical intervention stuff... so, Mom was alone.

Now, SIL is in a very critical place, emotionally. Without Mom, I doubt that Sis will have motivation to care for herself.

My hubby is a raw wound at the moment, of course. I'm gonna be okay, cuz I get to take care of him, and run interference for her, and ignore my own feelings for awhile....

I lost my mom this past April she was 91 and sharp as a tack until the last few weeks. Today she would have turned 92. I was selfish and wanted her to keep going and she was ready to go.

My heart goes out to you and your family E. So hard to let go, be strong for your hubby and take care of yourself too.

Mom had a breathing tube for three days, she was kept sedated. She had told us years ago that she didn't want that. So the day that they were going to take her off of life support I told her (I whispered loud in her ear she was hard of hearing) it was OK to let go that it was time for her to be with her mom and dad. I kissed and told her how much I loved her. Twenty minutes later she went into cardiac arrest. We didn't have to make the tough decision to take her off of the life support equipment.

I miss her so much.

@Enchantre - my sincerest condolences for your loss. I will send both you and your mom positive energy. I just told my mom the other day while crying again about the loss of Nanny in June, "why are you crying?" - she's the lucky one. She get's to go back to the stars and be free from pain. My losses over the last few years were devastating to me. You know better than anyone as you gave me support when I lost both My brother and Nanny. But in hindsight I could honestly say "who were the lucky one's:hmm:?".

We all have much love for you and will be here if needed.

Keep yer chin up friend, if you need a smile you know where to go...

Update: thank you all.. you are the sweetest bunch on the planet.

My MIL just made it to 71 - my hubby was just 4 years old when she married his dad, and became all things MOM to him, his older brother, and then the two younger siblings that they had. (that's right, she was a fresh-faced 20-yr old taking on a ready-made family and then having babies herself)

The last time mom and I talked, it was when the whole fam damly was there, just a few weeks ago, and she told me that she was just tired, and ready to go. Medicine (pharms) were no longer managing her conditions, and it had reached the pain management point. She was perfectly sharp, alert, aware, and totally okay with just falling asleep and not waking up.

She fell asleep, in her wheelchair, after her morning meds, while waiting for the physical therapist to arrive. She didn't wake up. It was a good death. She was so ready, and now she is in a much better place. Regardless of your own religion - and she was a christian - she had so much good karma, so much service for other, so much treasure in Heaven laid up, and she is not dead. Her Self is eternal, as the Self is, and she is dwelling in Joy now.

Last night, hubby went out with one of his kids, and they tied one on. We'll have to go see if we can find his glasses today *sigh*, but I think he's gonna be fine.

Funeral is tentatively set for Tuesday. Meeting with the funeral director tomorrow. Hubby's youngest sibling happens to be a Wesleyan minister, so he's running point on that part of it.

More family coming in from out of state... we may be doing airport runs later.

Beautifully put @Enchantre . It sounds like she died so peacefully. And had lived a full life even if it was somewhat short. I wish for peace and good memories for you and your family.

Congratulations Vickie! No more torture.

Stay strong Enchantre my thoughts are with you. It's sounds like with family flying in you'll be busy. Family being together at a time like this is the way it should be. You'll be able to grieve and gather strength from each other.
