Vapman

Hi JK, I'm guessing you've only just acquired the Vapman!? If so, stick with it! After a few tries you should start to get to grips with it - it will soon become second nature. I never think about my technique anymore.

If you find it too airy, a number of members have blocked up one or two of the air holes on the top piece with toothpicks/cocktail sticks - you may find that to be more to your liking. As far as avoiding combustion - I have the basic model - and as soon as I feel a flash of heat through the wood I know that it's probably ready for a toke, and don't heat it any longer - as far as advice goes that's a bit subjective I know, but it works for me. Good luck!

Anyway, I just popped by feeling a little excited over the fact that we don't have long to wait now until the new concentrates/oil screens are ready (whoop-whoop!). A couple of weeks max and they should be ready to buy! I can't wait to see what they've come up with.

For those of you thinking of buying one of these amazing little vaporisers soon, you're in luck! They're currently making a batch of YEW Vapmans - they're so going to look the dog's B!! There are some pics on FB of how they're getting on with them so far:

Haha I always end up heating it up to the point where it's almost too hot to hold. I'm sure I'll get the hang of it eventually.

It sounds like you're heating the chamber for a little too long - or with too big a flame - or both! As @KidFated. mentioned - all you need is a single flame torch. Happy experimenting :science: :)

Lots of torch lighter choices available. However, the one I keep going back to is the Vapman torch. It's reliable with a big tank and angled just the right way. I've tried four other torch lighters yet the Vapman torch is what I use now exclusively with the Vapman. I just decided to stop wasting time and money on finding something different when what I had in front of me already works perfectly.

The Vapman designer put a lot of thought into both the Vapman itself and the torch lighter they sell with it. I know of a lot of product designers tend to give accessories second class attention. The Vapman designer understood the torch is integral to success with the Vapman, and it's a first class product just like the Vapman.

As far as durability, I've dropped the torch lighter onto hard surfaces many times and it keeps on going even with the scratches. Recently some kittens have taken a liking to batting it around and roughhousing with it, but it's still working fine. Still using the original one received with my first Vapman and have had it about six months now and use it multiple times per day typically.

One of the phrases they use to describe Vapman is 'no compromises' and that applies to the torch lighter as well in my opinion. Plus the price is reasonable for such a quality torch. I'm guessing they get little to no profit selling the torch lighters.

I also removed my Vapman training wheels — I removed the toothpicks from all the plugged holes. I have pretty much got this thing down now and can get great vapor without the need for toothpicks and I am finding it is cooler too.

I agree with you there, and I think we've got plenty of company. It's a good experiment, but I too found that with the right technique it works best without them. At least 'right technique' as far as what's working for me.

I guess it must be in the nature of the typical vapist? Over on the Solo page we were discussing how some guys go though custom stems (more flow) and race out an buy the newer version (same reason, drilled out airpath) only to decide that the original design suits them best.

My vapmen are probably my favorite vaporizers right now. I just LOVE mine. Ive got a classic and a mica version with both of them being different woods. Id love to see the creator use some different woods on these little beauties! Im really considering ordering one of the vapman wooden mouthpiece so everything will match. Has anyone had any luck using a MFLB wooden stem?

It also helps save weed by keeping my tolerance down. If I'm packing 3 bowls it takes quite a bit of time and it's a signal I should probably take a t break. It's a lot harder than just packing more and more into a pipe or bong.

:oOMG! My pics from page 27 made it to their OFFICIAL Facebook page, wish I saw it sooner, I'm honoured:rockon:
(Scroll down to June posts)

I also wanted to mention that I am
VERY happy with their customer service, they had already offered a free gift (I assume a grinder) after complications with a delivery of two new walnut vapmen (basic for gift, and classic for replacement of previous classic that had become loose and eventually had the pan dislodge, which I didn't mention here, as it might have had something to do with me dropping it unprotected during my travels:uhoh:), but when asked if something could be done for my broken Vapman, they threw in ANOTHER classic (with minor aesthetic defect), AND offered to fix my broken classic for FREE if I paid shipping.....that's what I call good service, now I just have to figure out what I will do with all those vapmen:hmm::shrug::D

I've had a great first evening with the Vapman, everything i expected and wanted it to be.

Followed instructions, played with it for hours using an amazingly small amount of herb and got plenty baked so I gotta say I enjoyed this little(little-little, tiny) thing quite a bit.

(is it Vapmans or Vapmen?)

Excellent question! Shows how this Forum attracts the leading minds of our times.......

I think "Vapmen" is Queen's English? Not nearly as scary as "mothers-in-law" (there's one to make the blood run cold....), but following those rules?

In fact, at Cambridge I'm told there's a committee to answer just such questions. Seriously. They determined that the last comma belongs in "....Dick, Jane, and Spot".

Of course, in the People's Republic of Berkeley, it's probably something like "Vapepeople"..........

I like Vapmans because it sounds like Fatmans (atomic bombs).

And the Vapman is da bomb.

But there was a grand total of one Fatman ever made, right? Fun idea, though. I suggest the top section looks very much like Thinman under the covers. Complete with end to end bore on the 'gun barrel'?

To me it's kind of a Steampunk Lunar Lander model.

By any name, the little rascal is 'da bomb' for sure, or can be.

Vapman is really treating me well. I almost can't believe how good it is for my daytime medical needs as only two hits in the morning really take care of my nausea and give me an appetite. Then after I can eat and take RX meds I can finish off that same load and do one more to ease pain and keep the nausea at bay.
All with a lot less then the half gram or more then It's been taking in-order to feel functional until my later evening sessions.

I'm very happy with my little vapman basic and think it's found a a solid place in my line up already.
Next up I just may need a walnut classic to match my daisy for nighttime enjoyment.

I've been meaning to drop in and share some love for the vapman or vap lady:)

I had an original vapman basic for quite a while.it cracked right through the centre.I emailed Vapman and he was kind as & said he had nt seen that before. He made a generous offer so I made a deal to upgrade to a walnut Mica a number of months ago.

It's a great little vape.i totally recommend it.It medicates and soothes quickly.

I'm fond of the after effects of conduction vaping compared to say convection. Stony might be the word I'm looking for here:) I seem to get more relaxed,a heavier feeling.

I use the vapman as intended..tried blocking holes and returned to the original way.only addition I made,I threw a piece of leather in the vapcase to stop the filling ring rattling so much while out and about.

My favourite thing about the vapman how it works.some other vapes especially the other torch vapes available lotus vapor genie require You to torch, view and hit at the same time. For me in a public space that is a concern.vapman is different here..heat the pan in you're lap, put you're lighter down and then enjoy, take in those views while savouring some really clean flavour.no kidding.awesome tasting device. should definitely be a companion at a nice sunset or indoors with a movie.its a great vape to introduce others to vaping.
The tiny profile fits in wherever you take it.

The stem in there is a coco bolo launch box stem I trimmed.

Two good partners.

Thanks:peace:

They updated the arrival date of the new concentrate screens with this blurb:

The German company HAVER & BOECKER OHG have woven the fine wire mesh and it will be sent to us this week for the next two operations. The punching out and the forming of the screens will be made here in Switzerland with specially made toolings. This will take another two weeks, we are therefore two weeks behind our schedule. For those who are waiting for it, thank you for your patience, good things take time but it will be good, we promise!

Just wondering, is vapman gonna release some kind of whip attachment (yes, i know it's simple to make my own)along with the concentrate pads ? I'm having my first experience with wax in a bata magic flight maud dib box and don't see how I could handle the hits with such a short vapor path when with a two foot whip on the mfmd is still pretty rough on my lungs.

Is there a half decent way to do wax in the VM without waiting on the screens or does it just make one big mess ?

yeah thanks, I'd have to order one from somewhere might as well just wait for the VM screens. Since I've only had access to flowers until yesterday my collection isn't up to snuff for oils and waxes without making more of a mess out of things then it's worth for me right now, so what I'm using will do for now despite the kava taste.

Loving using the Vapman. Acquired one of the vapman torches and really like it, seems perfect.
