I'm loving this vape, the size, weight, heat up time, ease of use and efficiency are all very impressive! Is there still a referral scheme going on?

Before I attempt to do so, is there anyone willing to make a slightly more detailed battery replacement video? Pointing out the components that I need to be careful with.

This is unsettling; looks like melted plastic from inside the heating chamber on the outside of the capsule...

Is anyone else getting this, or might I be having problems with just my unit?

i have never seen this from an INH product. are you sure its burnt/melted and not just something stuck on it?

Pretty certain. That was a new capsule after first use.

Plus my device is very clean. I'm overly careful as my previous posts might give away.

Oh, I wasn't trying to be defensive, just trying to give details. I saw it on my original capsule, thought I should try it on a new one. Started at about 5 and worked up over one seshion to max.

Salutations,

I'd suggest putting it side-by-side with a new unit, just to make it easier for the untrained eye...

So we can all see the difference i would say.

I have 2 thoughts of origin.... 1st thing that came to mind was possible some of the adhesive used in the chamber but then my 2nd thought is more likely.....
If you take a little ISO to it and you are able to just about wipe it away or the Q tip is getting brown... it just might be some resin build up from normal to moderate use.... I reclaim a bunch of it from the inside of my tubes and the inside throat of the capsules {mouthpiece}.... and yes it can melt and gravitate back towards the heat source......
So see if the ISO can cut it or even remove it completely....:peace:

P.S. I received word today that I too shall be receiving my 2 production INH05's very soon...
Address confirmation email.....

I am absolutely certain it is not resin. It holds it's shape once it cools and flakes off the capsule in solid peices. Those peices do not dissolve in iso. This leads me to believe it is in fact plastic.

Now after that you have me thinking Polymide break down of some kind...we know from the past that the Polymide blackens pretty well where the runs are in direct contact with the Polymide......

Just to be clear we are talking about the streaks of dark brown or even black marks I see in your pics that look to almost circle the cap...is that correct?

That's correct, but I'm also reasonably certain it is not polymide. After the plastic flakes off, the capsule is in perfect original condition. This leads me to believe it is plastic from the rim around he chamber where the capsule is inserted.

The ridge around the chamber is now slightly uneven making me think some of the plastic is "missing" and is what is on the capsule.

If that makes sense...

The ridge around the chamber is the white sleeve where the Polymide heating element lives...{it is a very thin heating element sandwiched between 2 layers of Polymide} so I was referring to the inside layer possibly breaking down a bit....and this is all speculation at this point....

{ It might be a good thing to reshape the white sleeve (rim) with a chop stick or something while it is hot say just after a 8 & 9 session / run....}

I have 4 XP's and 1 Beta INH05 and none of them have shown signs of any breaking down.... I do get resin finding its way just about everywhere.... any where the vapor and go and condense.....and if you are allowing it to sit a bit in between draws then that vapor is building up and finding place to condense upon..... I typically don't let her sit too long between inhalations.....

This is interesting....so even if you damp swab the inside walls {cooled off of course} nothing is coming off on the tip..... maybe it is something to do with just your vape....please keep us posted...
I wonder does it seem super hot when you use it.....? In your pic it almost looks like the Polymide near the screen area is wrinkled just a tiny bit.... over heating possibly going on there... if it is wrinkled. :peace:

when you take the capsule out and its too hot it melts a little bit from the units plastic that is right outeside the chamber.as you slide the capsule it takes one layer of melted plastic on it.So its not from inside the chamber but from when u are emptying it.

I believe that is the case. Still not great like kero said.

@Edward Hyde : is this supposed to be good news or some kind of relief? =)

its neither...its just an advice on how to avoid i + there is a good part that we didnt inhale all that melted plastic during the session...still really disapointing though...the chamber in the units is not perfectly placed so inserting glass capsules can be a pain in the ass sometimes.also charging time is been more than 40 hours with 5 sessions while charging and still its not fully charged + changing the battery doesnt seem so possible because when you take of the bottom cap u find electronics not so easy to remove so its just a fake feature unless they give us a clearer image on how to do it more than the manual says...

Definitely coming off the ridge there. Hopefully future units will move the plastic further back from the chamber to avoid making contact. I'm guessing this problem is common to all units?

If you are having this problem, don't move or remove the capsule during, or for a while after use.

Well, i got worried at 1st but i'd now say both: good news and relief, because the cause of this overlooked problem got quickly identified and hence correction is finally possible.

In my own personal opinion it seems the design went well as long as the capsule remained static and now that manipulations have multiplied it is revealed in the bold way. No big deal, i'm a patient guy who learned it is an important virtue to know how to wait & see when it comes to these things.

So, once again i find myself wondering how the glass capsules will compare as it is heat retention in polyimide which causes the outer aperture plastic to met (and then stick to it), etc... Perhaps that rim part should be made of polyimide too! Or maybe the users should just take care to let it cool down a little.

In any case i wish this project to succeed. Good day, have fun!!

That is weird. I usually take the capsule out when the unit and capsule are hot at least a couple times during a session to dump and stir, but my capsule and INH haven't experienced anything that looks like that.

Would using a high temp O-ring inserted around the oven's lip help prevent
the melting of the plastic ? Like the one discussed in the Solo thread .
I also think the glass capsules will do more damage than polymide as it retains
heat better . You shouldn't have to wait between reloading .

But that Long Charging procedure has to be resolved .

To those complaining about the long charging time and battery swapping challenges: Do you have more than 10 sessions a day (through a portable)? I only charge my Inhalater 05 overnight and get 10+ sessions on 6.5-7.5. The light on my unit turns off when it's full (as it should) and I use an LG 1.8A wall charger. My Pinnacle Pro lasted about 4-5 sessions so I'm really content with the current battery life. I believe if you charge your unit overnight you will be very happy with your 05.

Nope, there is no room for an o-ring. The plastic touches the capsule, so there is physically no space at all. And yes the glass will probably be worse...

Salutations Mitchgo61,

Could it be true what i read lately, about Chineese contractors swaping materials around!??

Etc., whatever.

Or perhaps you've been very lucky as a capsule coated with molten plastic would certainly ruin the show...

:peace:

I guess it's luck...but honestly even at 9 the plastic on the rim doesn't appear anywhere near melting-point hot to me.
