Misdemeanors

I know a woman who knows someone with a degree in criminal law. She says misdemeanors fall off your record after a number of years. When i did an internet search, the results always say that misdemeanors stay on your record forever.

So this is a concern because of background checks. It concerns me so much that i don't vape as regularly as i'd like to. Because i fear getting caught.

Ask a law professional, they know your state laws.

While I'm sure there are variances in different states, I've never heard of it just "falling off". Most (all?) states allow for an expungement of some sort, but you'll need a lawyer for that.

Don't quote me on that though. I heard it from a man, who knows someone, who once watched Matlock.
