Discontinued Thermovape Cera

Great Scott!
So I've been back to using the cera LL that I haven't used in a while. Was starting to come around to it, and bam one of those 4 set screws in the herb cart itself popped out again. Is this pretty much a given that this will always happen? I've had that cart rebuilt 2x, so this is the third time I've lost the screw.

Should I just forget about it and keep using it and pretend it never happened?

@Krazzykid I agree. I still love everything they do, but them being completely inactive makes me uneasy too. I loved it when they were active here. It just makes me hope my cera lasts until whatever/whoever releases the next super clean revolutionary vapes. I do value manufacture openness and activity quite a bit.

No, it should be replaced. I'd send it in and get a new one fitted. And the sleeve replaced if needed.

It's strange that you'd have it come out again after a rebuild. The screws might be reused but the sleeve they thread into should have been changed out with the rebuild.

Anyway, it needs all four or the two either side of the missing one will eventually fail as they are not meant for the extra strain. It's a job that takes special skills and resources. I've been trained there, it's not a simple matter of getting the right wrench and having at it.

Sorry you're having this problem, but I'd get it taken care of straight away.

Looks like thermovape is closing up shop anyway. Not to sound depressed and negative, but I guess it doesn't matter anymore.

So I just saw. Let's hope a service alternative shows up. If Capitalism is running right, that should happen if the demand is there......which I think it is?

One thing sure, the vaping world is better off for their innovations, contributions and offerings. Hopefully it's not terminal.

I'm back looking to persei stuff, but I have a burnt up persei battery holder part, blown top etc. Always in beta it feels like, which is cool that they never stop, but tricky for a consumer. Funny how this just rocked my world. I may even put my working thermovape stuff up for sale soon. I don't like to own things of a company that no longer exists generally. We will see though, because I have no competitor as far as oil goes. The bud is not a problem, I was only using the cera LL for the time being while sending my firefly in for warranty.

BAHHHHH thermovape you guys just rocked me bad!

Horrible news. Guess I'm glad it happened a few days before I pulled the trigger. Can anyone suggest a viable alternative for concentrates that offers a decent stealth factor? The PnP is pretty good but I was hoping for an upgrade with the Cera. I'll probably grab the add-on for the VM but the stealth factor isn't great on the VM.

Dang and I was thinking of sending in my EO cart for a rebuild so I could make a video on the LL and EO because there is not very many. I guess I will just have to stick to the LL.

I hope to someday see a decrease in the manufacturing costs associated with this kind of ceramic. Then maybe we'll see a vape making even better use of zirconia, or some kind of "super ceramic" like it, in its oven or mouthpiece. I think that the idea was ahead of its time.

I really hope they have someone to continue warranty claims, otherwise I am going to be extremely upset and will probably get rid of everything Thermovape I own. I spent way too much money on equipment from them to just have my warranties disappear overnight.

Yeah it'd be great if someone could make the T1 with the 18650. Thats really all that was needed imo. Simpler times with the T1. The switch we (I) bitched about back then only got worse on the cera in some ways.

Some vapes I don't care about. Just sold my pax without reservation, can always get another if I want. There was always something special about thermovape that just isn't out there otherwise.

I am not only bothered by the fact that they are closing up shop(things happen that can't be controlled), but am extremely pissed that they didn't make it public until less than 48 hours before they plan to close!

I am not only worried about warranties on the stuff I purchased from them, but the 8 friends that I have placed orders for over the past few months. How do I tell them that when their device craps out (and it will eventually) that they now each have a close to $500 paperweight? It was the warranty and cheap rebuild fee that sold each and every one of them on this device over others on the market.

I have one friend specifically that has 2 cores in need of rebuild, and he has been waiting until he had the spare cash so he could send them off. I told him about them closing shop a couple hours ago and he was livid.

To say I feel cheated and betrayed right now would be an understatement.

Great way to advertise the closing of a company. Announce it 48 hours before they close so they CANT serve anyone who needs warranty help. Awesome. I loved this company and will continue to use my T1's but that is a straight low blow business move.

My heart goes out for all the new cera and luna owners. What a crock of shit.

Hey guise!

Damn!! just this month I had the money to buy the LL. Is there a way to still purchase one? if so, would you guys think this thing could last me some time (years hopefully hehehe) without the need to use the warranty, I mean, is there a KNOWN defect of the unit, much like the Ascent smell on most units or something like that? I think the Cera is, health wise, the best portable vaporizer, all ceramic path means flavor and no toxic fumes which is what I want. Unable to buy the Cera, I was thinking about the Inhalater INH05, but I'm concerned about it not being as much as healthy; I'm not sold by stainless steel for this kind of artifacts :p

Well f@ck. I was planning on purchasing the LL soon! Is there any websites that sell the cartridge before they vanish?! And the LL is likely to crap out further down the road than the oil, right???

Didn't realize that somebody asked practically the same two questions as I did. Whoopsy!
