Options for canoe trip

I don't combust. I finally quit smoking cigarettes after a really long battle with the damned things and I just don't want to go back there. I'm taking a few hours long canoe trip with some buddies next month and I wanted to try it while using my current favorite herb.

I could take my Pax but I worry about getting wet.

I could get a Lotus, but I don't really want to drop another $100+ on a vape...

I could just deal with it and roll a few joints.

Ideas?

I had a vapor genie that could get wet and still function later when dried off. I assume the Lotus would be the same way. Of course you're going to put all this in a waterproof pack leashed to your arm, and still the thing may get lost!

I'm stuck. Can't think of a cheap disposable portable herb vape (might be different with oils). And I hate recommending a T-break because it sounds lovely out in the canoe. And I can't recommend combusting over a t-break.... :(

Edit: saw you ruled out the Lotus already. What's left?

E-cigs and micro-skillets are small enough to fit in your waterproof containers, and are affordable enough to lose. Neither work with flowers, but a month gives you plenty of time to formulate e-juice or errl.

The Hammer & VG are good options for your needs, within your price range. You may also want to consider the Vapman - you can get the basic model from as little as $68.79 atm. I'm a huge fan - for its size it packs such a punch!

Have a great trip dude :) :peace:

Maybe I will look into the lotus some more. I'll go peek in that thread now.

But the consensus I'm getting is that combusting is a nonstarter even for a situation like this? I'm not looking for permission or anything just opinions from more experienced herb users than I.

At fuck combustion we can't really advocate combustion haha
I had a few joints the other day, wasn't the end of the world but I did get a nasty cough, hardcore congestion, shortness of breath for 2 days and had a bad sleep as a result of it. If you want to risk that, or worse on a relaxing outdoors trip is your prerogative.

I highly suggest the VaporGenie, can't believe I waited so long to get a flame powered vape. My Pax has taken a serious backseat to the VaporGenie since I got it. I am a fairly serious fisherman and actually spend a lot of nights outdoors camping. The VG is perfect for this application. I bought it as a backup to my Pax because I was forced to combust when it had to go back to Ploom. What I didn't realize was the VG would become my main vape for home use. It's way more efficient than the Pax and what I really like is you can pack it once and take a rip every once in a while unlike the Pax where you have to heat it up and wait for it, so you end up taking a bunch of hits at once and it becomes a 5 minute thing. The VG is a 5 second hit, then you can put it down for a half hour and pick it up and 5 seconds you have another hit in you. Really a perfect vape for a canoe trip or anything.

Get a magic flight launch box. If it gets wet and stops working it's warranty time.

My Walnut took a little swim and still works fine, spent about a minute in a lake then dried in the sun for 10 hours or so and even the light started working again.

Some fine suggestions above with the Vaporgenie, hammer, Vapman, lotus.

You may also find an Iolite or wispr for around $100 or less although if i were you i'd look more at the 4 above most, and right now myself I would probably go with a VG classic.

:peace:

Edit; I do have a vapman on the way to me now so once i get it ...

My thought was to tie something around your vaporizer and put it around your neck so it will not fall in the water, unless you do ...

I combust occasionally (blunts/joints) and I don't notice anything like that. I might get a little extra phlegm in the morning but nothing I'd consider terrible. Compared to vaping, my two main issues with combusting are the taste and harshness, things I can deal with on occasion.

Waterproof bag and you're good to go. You could even get a Pelican case that fits the Pax and some herb for like 20 bucks.

I have been saving up my ABV. Maybe I'll give it a try. Any favorite recipes?
I haven't actually made anything yet. This is all new to me. It started when I went to Colorado and saw what was available there. I'm going to try making some brownies or cookies when I have enough ABV. I'll let you know!
