The Extreme-Q Vaporizer

On the first elbow I packed it a bit too loosely/small and so we only got 4ish hits out of it and only the first 2 were worth seeing. Then I repacked it and we were getting huge hits over and over. There were 2 more weaker ones that I don't show after the vid ended.

is it cheaper to get the mouth piece and whip together? The new bowl is perfect....if your using the wand with 2 filters I guess if you wanted you don't need the one in the bowl.

So it's just the standard ground glass wand?

If you need some tubing then why not. They give you something like 3 feet.

Yup, Standard GG Wand or the DBV standard wand.

Im using the Ddave adapter and the SSV wand with about 2 foot of tubing which connects to an elbow joint that fits nicely into my glass bong. I use the method of filling up the SSV wand with my herb then placing the old elbow joint screens onto the bottom of it to hold herb in place and prevent it from spilling into the ddave adapter. The problem im having is the herb keeps getting stuck on the top screen of the SSV wand and i'll only get one to two hits before having to remove the wand, stir it so that it falls back onto the elbow joint screen, then repeat. Has anyone found a way round it sticking to the top screen and having to stir every two or so hits?

I found that if you can dome the screen away from the glass it stays cleaner. At first I wrestled with the screen a little. I now have no problems with it. Practice makes . The other thing that you said and it might just be my translation. Are you filling it up to the top or how are you filling it. I sucked on the mouthpiece to pull enough in that when the screen goes on there is a gap. It varies but from a little gap to big gap:freak:. As long as your not packing it in there your fine and will figure out what works best for your herb. I am not sure why your screen is filling up so fast unless you have a very fine grind? You do have to clean the screen regularly but that's true with most all vapes.

thanks, i only fill up about half of the space in the bottom of the SSV wand so im not over packing, it used to work fine but only recently started becoming a problem with it sticking so i guess it just needs a clean, ive probably smoked half oz through it since the last time it got cleaned. I took the screen out and made a downward facing dome, my herb no longer sticks to the middle of the screen but some around the edges does. Im smoking amnesia at the moment and its quite sticky which cant help.

Yeah keeping your screen clean is pivotal, as you can tell. And I had the same problem, it would always stick to the edges and stay green there.

If you can make some kind of dome screen to fit into the SSV wand you can shorten the bowl and keep the material from sticking to the middle or edges or from hitting the top.

The provided screen will dome if you do it right.

I'm referring to an screen like the e-nano or EQ type dome screen. One that can be adjusted up or down the length of the wand, shortening/lengthening the bowl size.

The EQ dome fits but doesn't really stay in place w/o resin.

Hey Canadianguy

Hi Kid Lightning,

I had the same issue. I made a wooden holder for the various glass pieces of this unit (cyclone, ddave adapter, wand, stir tool... the middle of this holder is just wood and after first draw on a freshly loaded SSV Wand, I'd tap the wand several times on the wooden holder. This dislodged the sticky herb from the top screen, allowing it to be free-moving again. Hope this helps!

Thanks DDave!!I'l look into that.As far as the wand goes I better buy it with the whip to.Can't hurt having extra whip and mouth piece!I love how big the opening is on that adapter and how it just's hovers over the element so close:)

Will the standard mouth piece from the V Tower fit in the SSV whip?

I was thinking about using screens similar to these http://www.vapornation.com/vapexhale-screens.html (obviously find the correct size as these are too big) but placing them inside the SSV wand where the herb goes so they wedge in as a tight fit and then putting the original elbow dome screen on the end to cap it. This would make it easier for them to be pulled out and cleaned, also if they wedged in tight enough you could have them hanging out the bottom of the SSV wand which would result in the herb inside being closer to the heating element of the extreme Q

Hey Canadianguy, no problem. The mouthpiece from my VTower worked on the SSV Whip I received. I used it till I replaced the mouthpiece with an Arizer elbow, so I could interface the whip with a water tool.

Ddave, I tried using the elbow as an adapter as well, but I found the draw to be restricted due to the narrow path the air must follow through the elbow. I switched to a regular size adapter, like those that are sold by 7th floor, and the vapor flowed much more easily. It might not be an issue for you, but I thought I'd share my experience.

Hey hoptimum, no worries and VERY good point! Arizer elbows are very restrictive!

I switched back to a standard adapter after using the elbow as an adapter, filled the same amount, same temperature setting, same draw, and damn near combusted the bowl (this was with the SSV, though)

I think tomorrow I'll pick up that SSV whip kit from my local shop they have them!I read some posts on here earlier saying something about the wand when inserted is in the way of the f/f adapter or something?

Take a look at your 18mm F-F adapter and compare it to a normal cyclone bowl... Put the male end of the wand in each and notice how the on cyclone bowl the end of the wand comes "into the clear" inside, whereas it probably tapers into the end of the joint itself on the F-F adapter.

This means your screen will "clear" inside the cyclone bowl with no issues (unless is falls out), however in your F-F adapter, this screen gets pressed down into end of the glass joint itself (and may prevent a proper seal) - this gets it wedged into the 18mm joint - you pull the wand out and the screen remains wedged in the joint rather than in the wand.

It took me a few to figure out while my 18mm F-F adapter didn't work so well with my 18mm/14mm M-M adapter (for putting a PNWT on top of my EQ!). I was having the exact same problem, but I noticed it worked perfectly with the regular cyclone bowl.

This give ANOTHER thing to look for - are they fully tapered 18mm female joints in that adapter? Is the male end your sticking in full-length? (You'll find the Arizer elbows are just slightly short than the longest 18mm male pieces).

I suspect this may be the issue, however, your mileage may vary.

Yeah I have that adapter already now I was thinking is there going to be any conflict in the fit or something about a screen touching?Maybe I read this above post wrong?
