Anyone else still rocking the V1; I found the design much more efficient and durable. Because the heating coil is wrapped around a glass tube in V1, heat is transfer to the glass instead of wearing itself out.

I've had this vape for over a year now, and still loving it :)

Getting ready to order the firewood as my first vape tomorrow. Anyone know of any current discount codes for forum members or anything like that?

You can pop and email to marc , his email addy should be around here somewhere and ask. At one time there was a code though I think it was for a limited time only.

I recently upgraded to the 2.1 and I am glad I did. Heat up time is FAST. 20 seconds and it's ready to go, and it keeps getting hotter and hotter. The 2.1 is pretty much perfect for me. Great work Marc!

Here's a pic of my walnut FW 2.1 with a blackwood e-nano stem from Ed's Tnt.

Has anyone asked Marc if he could use some of Snappo's exotic wood to make a FW? This is just out of curiosity and the benefit of others—I'm too happy with my FW to need another!

Beautiful stem, nice job! I have a feeling though FW in exotic wood would drive the price up to another level.

I never owned a v1, but when I had the v2 I would get as much out of the herb as I could with it, then transfer it into my Magic Flight Launch Box to finish it off. I got a lot of mileage out of my bud that way.

My 2.1 has a lot more heat, so it eliminates the need for that. It can turn my bud just as dark as the MFLB does.

I'm in love with my V1, it heat hotter and faster than my 2.1 and you can get a big number of hits from a really small load, don't look for big hits, this is a taste chaser device but I can get a nice little cloud from each puff.

I preheat 25s and start for areally long and slow draw (more than 30s) until I got the taste and the heat in my mouth, here I keep the power button on between the 2 first draws, the 2nd draw might to be one of the better hits of your session!
After you can depress the power button between hits (cause the unit is already warmed) but a short 10s preheat before each long and slow hits is better.

The V1 seems to be the hotter unit of the Firewood line....imho!

PPN, Your V1 is hotter than your 2.1? That's really interesting to me.

I never had a v1, but my 2.1 is a lot hotter than my 2.0, so much so that the first bowl that I tried with it, I got it way too hot because I held down the button for a long time like I was used to doing on my 2.0. That first pull felt like a bong hit and when I looked at the capsule after, the herb looked like it had combusted.

That's hot, especially for convection. So now I always start with a 20 second hold and adjust from there. Really loving my 2.1

I just got a Firewood 2.1 in a trade and my first use was great. I dig it. It definitely fills a need for portability with summer travel, since my TV Ultra is not working, and the Lotus is just not stealthy.

I don't use alcohol. If you have some really gummy resin in there, try to scrape it out with a poker or toothpick first, then hit it with the pipe cleaner, then go to the ISO on a q-tip for a final clean.

Hi all. Since my cloud+ and my EQ both broke and I'm working on fixing them, my FW2.0 has actually been my main vape. It does take a lot of time to heat up the 2.0. I just wrap a rubber band around the trigger and leave it to heat up for about 90 seconds before hitting it through my Dozo bubbler, which is attached to the mounthpiece with some silicone tubing and an EQ elbow adapter.

I just leave the heat on constantly for a full five minutes or so, hitting it a couple times within that time limit. It produces nice clouds and I'm pretty happy with it. You have to draw slowly as compared to a cloud, for example, but I've gotten used to that. I combusted once when I left it on for about 6 or 7 minutes straight, so I try and finish the capsule off by about 4 or 5 minutes. I use the timer on my phone to keep track of all of this.

I'm pretty happy with this set-up, at least until one of my desktop vapes gets fixed. Does anyone know if there's any reason why I shouldn't just leave it plugged in pretty much all of the time? I've been just unplugging it and plugging it right back in after each capsule is done and it seems to always be charged. Maybe I'm shortening the battery life this way?

The booklet that came with my 2.0 recommended letting the batteries drain out occasionally. The one for my 2.1 doesn't mention that, though.

I'm impressed the number of hits I can get from a really small load (-0.05g), I can get between of 15-20 hits from a so small load and I get a little nice cloud from each hit (except the first one), it's my favourite "in the car" unit, especially for taste!

I'm speaking about the 2.1, cause my 1.0 is a heavier hitter (for the FW family) and load are spent quicker!

Long time lurker, first time poster here! I just got a firewood and I hear a whistle coming from the air hole. Does this mean I am drawing too hard?

It could be related to the perfect inhale speed. That's what I orient most whistling towards, hows your vapor production. Do you feel you're inhaling too fast, how long are you heating it for before your initial draw.
