I have a 3ml vial of RSO that I got for a friends pain management however they have been afraid to ingest it after reading how potent it is. I've read even a rice grain sized dose can make you uncomfortably high. I would like to make an ointment with it by melting it into some coconut oil and was wondering if anyone had experience with this and it's effects. My goal is an ointment that dulls the pain in shoulders, back, knee, etc. while giving a gentle buzz or high at most. Thanks in advance.

I always thought that oil made from cannabis can't penetrate the skin to give you a psychoactive reaction.
Mark Emery ran an experiment a few years ago and had no effect whatsoever.
Now, in regards to @tepictoton holy anointing oil, I know nothing about it, I'll google it later.

There are many cannabis products that can be applied topically for pain relief.

Made some myself based on another FCer's recipe. Topical effect, no psychoactive. Good use for ABV. For all-over pain it's less effective than ingesting in my experience.
