Vac Pump & chambers / concentrate tools for Canadians ?

I'm hoping others can make a listing source for both online or retail vendors for us Canadians to acquire goods and avoid the long waits, border issues, and ridiculous shipping costs associated with it.

My own current issue is with the pumps themselves...

I've been endlessly shopping for a 2 stage 4-6 cfm pump capable of 25 micron without breaking the bank. I'm hoping to find a decent reliable brand pump under $200 shipped, and all the USA sourced want near the same shipping cost as the pump itself :o. Understandable with its weight, but come on, lol.

For the chambers I've only managed to find USA vendors, so I may be destined to go that route in the end, but at least the weight/shipping cost is more reasonable.

What say you Canucks ?? Where are you getting your concentrate play toys ?

Have you looked into ordering a pump from China? Maybe check Aliexpress or Dhgate

As Canadians we are basically always going to get screwed ordering from within North America. Either by high prices ordering within the country or high shipping rates ordering from the states.

If you live near the border and have a car you could always go buy one retail in the States or get it shipped to shipping agency near the border from a vendor with cheap shipping in the states.

I've been into the concentrates & hash game for a lil over 5 yrs now, and I've had a 2.5 cfm non expensive single stage pump and a poly vac chamber for the last few.

With my set up I just cant pull -29 (even tried different gauges and still only pull -26.5 with the set up @ an altitude of 235 ft).

I'm purchasing a pyrex 2.75 quart vessel from best value vacs so I can spray & purge thin direct in it, instead of pre-purging initially then transferring the goods to a sheet/dish then to a smaller chamber :

I simply found the single stage pumps noisy, and for a bit more money I can quiet that up going to a 2-stage (actually been looking at the Yellow Jacket rotary vane pumps)... just not wanting to break the bank on the pump nor the shipping.

That is odd, you should be able to pull 29.0 easy at that altitude, assuming you've calibrated the gauges & good seal on chamber then it must be that particular pump.

But yeh, if you're going 2-stage for noise reasons that makes sense.

I have that very set from best value vac. I pull just to 29. I think my elevation is like 300. The gaskets do need replacement after an amount of use, but I think there cheap, just call them. I also recommend buying the black exhaust cap from them. The orange one leaks and no problem with the black one. I think they should come with it.

choose a lid that has the orange seal from best value vacs. it holds a better seal and will be the diffrence between 28 and 29.5+ im at 1000ft sealevel using a single stage... your altitude could have alot to do with it too...

When I got mine it ran great. I left it over night vaced. in the moarning there were stress cracks in my lid. I called them and they said it must be error when drilling the hole for the gauge and sent a new lid. I got the new lid, but they sent me the wrong one. It was a circle for a silicon gasket. I called back and got the right one. Now if only I knew what sized chambers uses this sized lid and I can order the silicon gasket. Also would need the right sized chamber but I got all the valves and gauge.

I dont even use the chamber that came with mine. you just need any pot or pyrex or aluminum cake pan or stock pot that will seal to the lid.

the chamber is just a vessel.

Received the chamber kit yesterday thru amazon.ca which was a direct ship fm Best Value Vapes. Bummer it was shipped UPS which cost me the HST (oh well) and a $10 brokerage fee (coulda been worse).

Came with an extra gasket & a slick pad, and was packaged bullet proof ;)

Now to just locate & purchase the yellow jacket bullet pump to complete my 'wants'. I will try it with the 2.5 cfm cheapy that is at a buddies place to see if the only -26 pull was just a chamber issue or whether it was the pump itself.

*** Now... where are Canadians buying their Slick Sheet PTFE rolls from ? I could only locate one Canadian vendor selling at $29/roll + $12.96 shipping :o Too MUCH

Update...

Buddies cheapy 2.5cfm was to blame for only -26 pulls after confirming my new chamber & gauge with a borrowed CPS VP6D pump.

Soooo.. I got tired of reading and window shopping and decided to pull the trigger:
