Discontinued Indica Vaporizer

It's not the design, it is all metal airpath. You simply received a defective unit. If you read through the thread you'll see there was QC issue recently, so there are still faulty units around. You are covered under warranty, Mike and the Indica team will take care of you as soon as they can. You can also see if BC Vapor will replace it for you themselves

Ya, just spoke with BCVapor and they seem really cool about it and said they will get to the bottom of it.

That's another one of the major reasons I went for this vape, was reading through some of this thread I saw that the owner (I'm guessing that who Mike is) actually comes in here and personally deals with his customers, which is awesome and says a lot.

I will read more through the thread...so there was a QC issue recently, so that makes sense, but for me to get one that's defective after what I've been going through with another vape recently that was also new...I just want TO VAPE SOMETHING NOW IN A GOOD VAPE, HELP :) It's been over a month, going on two very shortly, I've been waiting and trying over and over with shipping the other vape I got back and forth so many times, and now it happened by chance that I ended up with this one probably from the QC issue, it's just boggling. Oh well, hopefully I will get to vape something soon with no smoke other than the one I want :)

Smells like spices? Sticky? Sounds like it was used...

Those two things together, ya, I see what you mean but no, I meant food spices, as in paprika and stuff like that for real. And the sticky plastic is the actual plastic on the oven door melting from what it looks like. There is no resin anywhere at all. It looks new, except the finish could be just a little bit better, but I can't see it being used at all. It was all sealed up from factory it looked like too. It makes more sense that this is one from the recent QC issue mentioned above.

Yeah I know the feeling dude, thats partly how I amassed such a collection lol. Its the nature of electronic devices you know? I'd suggest looking into a torch vape like Lotus/Hammer/Daisy if you want to have a failsafe backup, but the indica is amazing when its fully functional so worth the wait

I've been waiting for soooo long. I'm trying very hard not to be a little bitch but I just want a portable vaporizer already.

I've been getting acquainted with the Indica over the past week. I also had a friend use it and she fell in love with it.

I am very impressed with the flavor of the vapor. A unique vaporizer that's packed full of
extras that you don't see every day in a portable unit. It's also priced at a very reasonable amount, $199 and it's a solid little unit. I am fortunate enough to have the new black V2 Indica on loan.
So far I have been very happy with it.

I've been using a little scoop to load it. Also a folded piece of paper works well too.

I will report back my findings here on FC.

I've been spending my Sunday doing a lot of Indica testing (yes, I'm quite vaked because of it:ko:).

I promised a vapor comparison video a while ago, so I took the opportunity to shoot a quick vid showing the old and new versions side by side.

Great video, and you got some nice hits off of both of them.
Looks a lot better than messing with my PnP bullets and mouth piece, just what I need another vaporizer.
And nice shirt too. :)

Wow, I swear my silver model doesn't perform like this. I have to use my Indica on red all of the time to get a satisfying session.

Great video! I really want the black model when it's released.

Do you pack the oven to the top then press one spacer on it? You should get decent clouds on green/purple this way. The spacer is heated by the oven and helps vaporize the contents at the top.

When you say "pack" do you mean fill to the top, pack, then pack again by pressing the spacer or a loose fill to the top then a pack by pressing the spacer?

Some sessions I get sizeable clouds. It's really weird, but I get good sessions with the Indica but each one varies (some with big clouds, some with hardly any vapor output). I've also been using a medium grind through my small SCS because I didn't want to deal with inhaling small bits of herb but I suppose if it's packed well that shouldn't be an issue. I always make sure my material is dry before I vape.

I've tried a loose pack and a firm pack. A firm pack works best for me far as clouds and vapor production goes. I pack it down and use a spacer that's provided with the unit. The first couple draws not much vapor but after that the vapor starts to flow big time. IMO vapor on par with the Ascent.

Pack then pack again. For me so far it seems the more tightly packed the erb and more I use the better.

How long for customer service to get back usually in anyone's experience with them? I wanted to speak to Indica too and not just the place I bought it. I've left my info a few times now and nothing. The first time they said before days end, but nope, didn't happen. Tried to email them too, since their "sales line " said it should get a faster response, but nothing.

Don't know if there are more people manning phones/email, but a page back there was this:

First I'm hearing of the Ebay auction, I'll check into it. By the way, I'lll be off the grid as of tommorow untill Sept. 1st. I'll check in though later tonight with an answer to the Ebay issue.

Well, they said with a very cheerful certainty that my inquiry would be answered by the end of the day the first time I called, while also informing me that they were only a call center that accepted orders and had no way of connecting me to customer service and I'd have to wait for a response (by email or phone). The last time I called, I asked if there was any way possible that they could connect me to customer service, they said "let me try that line for you", was put on hold just to be told after a few minutes that their lines can't be reached at the moment, oh well. I've contacted them, through pretty much every avenue that I'm aware of, but still with no response. So I'm thinking it just ain't gonna happen and my first assumption of a great customer service experience was just...wrong. And if they knew that they could not answer their customers until whenever, then they should let them know.

With the plastic smell and fumes that still pours off this thing, It's hard to believe that it's possible there are units out there without this problem. And reading through this thread a little more, I find it very strange that I'm not the only one who was first duped by davinci, and decided on an indica to find the same problem. These portables all off gas, don't they.

I wanted to post a picture of the powder coated V2 black Indica that I have. It's a nice little package here compared in size to the Solo.

Thats the bag of goodies minus a spacer that's inside the unit. There is small pipe cleaners, an extra magnetic door, 3 total spacers, brush, a vape pick and some screens. Also a USB charging plug. I'm not using screens, I don't need to. I've been using the little spoon as a loading tool and to tamp the load down. I give it a tight pack. I already had that little spoon at home.

Where did you get the new black version from? I thought they haven't been released yet. It is much sexier in black, how does it stack up against the Solo?

This is a loan from the company. It doesn't belong to me, I am trying it out to give feedback. Read about 10 pages back to get caught up. Welcome to FC GoLd.

These models go on sale sometime around Oct. or so. I'm sure Indica will keep us posted.

I definitely would buy one of these units.

EDIT
Tanz, I wonder if you have an extra sensitivity to smells? I remember the Ascent was giving off odors too.
You are talking about BC Vapor that you are dealing with. I had to look at your posting the time before to get it straight. You are not talking about the Indica company. The representative from Indica, Mike is on the road until Sept. he said.
It looks like it was Friday that you contacted BC Vapors. Ive never done business with them.

I wouldn't use a unit if I thought it wasn't safe. No odors or off gassing with the Indica that I'm using. It has very good flavor.
