Thanks for the replies SliM and vtac!

@Dreamerr, below is a photo uploaded in your honor.. Glass straw method works great with Herbie. Super smooth and really convenient.

One thing I am really enjoying about the Herbie is the consistency. I realize it has been less than 24 hours but this vape truly is idiot-proof.

Could you give me a link for the gong?

PS. Does the SSV tubing fit over the nozzle/vapor path of Herbie's bowl?

HERBALIZER BACK ON MASSDROP IF ANYONE INTERESTED. THANK ME LATER

I just saw this myself. Dammit. VAS is creeping up on my again. I thought the evo would be everything I needed for the foreseeable future but this device seems to shine in all the areas I consider the EVO weaker and vice versa. Expect a lot of questions over the next 9 days from me as I contemplate this. I have a lot of forum reading to do but I've completed the most recent 50 pages of stuff. Curse you VAS!

The ssv tube begins to melt on top of my bowl at higher temperatures. It also begins to bend and block all air pathways. I mean I still use the 20ft whip by rigging it up with an old squeeze valve attacked to the bowl and a 90 degree hose adapter on the wider end of the squeeze valve.

Before you start collecting thanks, please be advised that this is an UNAUTHORIZED SALES CHANNEL.

MassDrop is doing this without the manufacture's permission.

As such, the warrantee is invalid.

The last MD was also done without permission, but the great Customer Service team at Herbalizer decided to make a one-time exception for those people. They didn't have to do that, and most of the other manufactures that catch these grey market sales invalidate the warrantee. But that was a one-time deal.

Caveat Emptor indeed.

Thanks for the heads up. I contacted Herbalizer the last time Massdrop did this, and was informed that they would honor the warranty, but they didn't say it was going to be a one time thing. I had a bad feeling the last time, and for good reason, apparently.

I don't understand why they wouldn't honor the manufacturer warranty. What is the difference between shipping it to a online vaporizer seller in bulk and Massdrop placing a large order to give the consumer the discount. No warranty definitely means I won't join this one

This concerns me as well. The warranty is important to me. Hrmmm

UPDATE : I called herbalizer up (very nice people btw) and they said that massdrop is not an authorized retailer. From the sound of the conversation it sounds like they would probably honor the warranty to be good to their users but they don't have a legal obligation to (my interpretation of the conversation).

Shit guys... i need help... i've really had my eye on the evo for a long time, but for a little bit more i can get the "king of vapes". $450 for the evo, or $599 for the Herbalizer. (gonna post this in both threads and get everyones opinions.)

Is the EVO for $450, or the Herbalizer for $599 a better deal/bang for my buck?

Apparently, Herbalizer IS NOT honoring the warranty for any Herbalizer sold through Massdrop. Keep that in mind when making your decision.

I found this on the MD comments

"We have limited the drop to people only from US and Canada because the warranty covers only those regions. Just to be clear, all warranties are valid when you purchase from Massdrop."

so i think it's ok Im in the states.

Both great vaporizers. If I had to choose between one or the other, with the intention on buying both eventually, I'd choose the Evo, only if I had a desktop vape I enjoyed tho. The Evo is something unique to the user. While herbalizer is great in what it does, it's still a bag and whip vape. Sure you can buy all kind of connections to turn anything into a water based vape. But Evo is that right out the package. Then get herbie and be a boss. My herbie sits at the moment, no bags and not a big whip user. My Evo and volcano are up and running. Herbie is also unique in its ability to control temp and extract unbelievably well.....

Except that Herbalizer has stated that they WILL NOT honor the warranty through Massdrop.

My source? I've been reading the posts on this page about it, but I will re-quote them in this post for you. :)
