Discontinued VapeXhale Cloud EVO

In search of the best terps and smoothest vapor
Sounds like there may be something wonky with my circ. I have to hit it really hard to get all holes firing.

Ok I broke down and bought the two pack...

Found out why the VXN still costs so much:
xqKLZVb.jpg

All that human handwriting labor!

Unfortunately it seems the price is not due to quality control:
57Nl148.jpg

I think it's usable but obviously not as strong as it could be... :(

It's just funny because although VapeXHale doesn't have any incentive to improve quality (buying more = more $ for them) that's kind of what they built their reputation around :\ (quality + customer service)

My customer desires to buy a single VXN were not met, and the quality of the products I received was subpar... I don't know maybe that's just what happens when companies grow but I just felt like VapeXHale really wouldn't go down that road.

Whatever, hopefully I'm dead wrong! Good luck finding your way VXH, don't lose sight of the things you can't put a price on :2c:

I personally wouldn't find the condition of that nail pictured acceptable.
At $25 for what looks to me like just a little tube of glass with a slit cut in it, each and every one should be perfect.

Especially when they force you to buy 2...
I honestly don't understand that policy...

I've been putting off that very same task for over 12 days now :ugh::rofl:
It doesn't help that I got two vapexnails earlier this week

Yeah it really sucks to be without an Evo. Times like this I wish I would have kept the cloud I bought from you as a backup instead of gifting it to a friend.

Great Scott!
I really want to try the QUARTZ vapexnail. Any advantages over the vapexnail that I already have? I imagine I could actually torch the quartz one clean?

I really REALLY want the quartz one alone with the kit to use the vapexnail with my own oil rig, but I don't want to buy two very expensive quartz vapexnails. It'd be swell to buy ONE very expensive quartz vapexnail lol.

EDIT: It would be pretty cool if they could release a titanium vapexnail, but I'm not sure its something I'd buy personally. I can just see a lot of customers for that so I'm suggesting it.

They should definitely release the quartz ones, as a "1" quantity.

There is no way I'll buy two for $100, but I might buy one for $50.

Hi everyone. I am a new member and a recent convert to vaping. It was this great site that got me to reconsider the benefits of of vaporization. I have been using a dabuddha I got years ago and it's pretty good but I missed bong hits so I was still not 100% convinced. Then I started reading this forum on the cloud and I was so utterly blown away with its performance and accessories that I knew I would never need to use another water pipe again. ( unless with a evo)
So I went ahead and bought a cloud evo through the site namastevapes.ca
I had seen some bad reviews and some good so I wasn't certain, but the price was fantastic and the customer service assured me that it was a new cloud.
I received it today, two days after ordering which was incredibly fast.
The problem is that it didn't come with any rubber bands or a neoprene sleeve so I am a bit nervous that I got a cloud that has been sitting in some warehouse for awhile. I would love to know if I have a unit that has the new firmware and other minor changes that have been done to the evo since it first debut. If it is a recent model and I can get a neoprene sleeve through namastevapes.ca i will be really pleased with my purchase. Just a bit nervous that I have been ripped off
Don't know if it helps but the serial number is S/N:EVO10875
Would love some input if possible, thanks.

I also wondered the same thing when I purchased mine from VaporNation. My serial number is 10830 and mine did come with two bands, but no neoprene sleeve. It seems as though you may have a newer model than mine and when I contacted VXH about the missing sleeve, they informed me that not all third party vendors request or order all of the accessories that it should come with. I think this is applicable to both our situations. For a nominal fee, VXH will ship you out bands and a sleeve. Just contact customer support and give them your email address.

SomewhereOverDwayneBowe,
Everytime I see nominal I always think ALOT! So whenever you guys are saying they will ship it out for a nominal fee I'm thinking like $50 for a fucking sleeve lol

There is no reason to not do this really, since the customer is paying for the shipping either way right? It literally would cost nothing to offer one at a time lol. My ebay quartz nails were 3 for $20 shipped, and I'm still on the first one. I'll gladly pay them for one, but I REALLY don't need/can't afford 2.

Luckily 2 of my friends in town have evos, so I should be able to get one of them to split a pack.

Thanks for the info. That sure makes a lot of sense. Other than the missing sleeve everything looks fine. Can't wait to christen my evo tonight. Think I will just find some of my old rubber wrist bands to use on the evo. Thanks for the help

I would suggest NOT putting anything that is not supposed to go around your EVO, around your EVO. This little fucker gets HOT.

Just hold it by the base, knob toward you, with the power cord interlaced through your fingers around back. I never saw the bands/sleeve as helping the heat-buildup. I always saw them as insulation, and a simple indicator on where to not hold the device.

If I were you I would just grab some new bands when I ordered my next round of ELBs.

Yeah I was thinking maybe it wouldn't be a good idea to put anything that could potentially melt on my cloud. Thanks for the heads up and will definately remember to order when I get some moe ELB's

A fellow FC'r asked me my opinion on some Swagger glass, and I'd like to post one of my responses:

"You know, really, for me, there is so much glass one can buy to use (with/or w/o the need for adapters) with the EVO, that it makes absolutely no economic sense to have a Swagger tube. If you don't mind inverting the EVO (and who does?), there is so much cheap glass out there. Additionally, I find small tools like the Assassin's Necktie or fbomb are my preferred manner to do concentrates: big glass gets big dirty. Or you can easily make a plastic hose connection w/a few adapters: no limit to your imagination. OK. I really like the Hydra Foot 2.o: I'd buy that. Other than that, they're pretty, but also pretty expensive." I like quoting myself.

EDIT:
As the quartz nails become more available, authorized retailers will be selling them one-at-a-time just like they do with the glass nails. Sure, you'll pay a little more: but you will be able to purchase only one unit.

As the EVO rightly takes it place as one of the premium vaporizers, clever venders will supply us with new, maybe cheaper alternatives for everything.

I wouldn't want to have to rig up something to use with the vapexnails, but other than that there is no real reason to buy a HT other than the reason we buy all these other toys: because we want them. I totally get your point and use my Evo with my Mobiuses (Mobii?) and my DG more than my Hydra Tubes, but I love having the Swagger glass as an option, especially with the nails.

Really happy with the service from both Vapexhale and Massdrop, I posted regarding a personal preference issue with the flared mouthpieces, and they made some of the (older?) "bubbler-style" sidecirc HT's available for the drop. I read that half an hour ago when I got home from work and 'committed' right away. It's only day 1 or 2 and already at 11/20 so I feel pretty confident.. I've had my eye on this thread and the Cloud Evo since I missed the last drop.

I just hope that my bubbler has a decent draw since I've heard reports of leakages/draining and also just a restricted pull with some of the Massdrop hydratubes... probably being paranoid over nothing!

It may not make a lot of economic sense if your expensive glass recently broke, as your hydratube did I believe? May have wanted to preface that post with your context.

My ~$200 hydratube lasted 2 years before it broke, and gave me a perfect rip every day. Comes out to like 27 cents a day. Additionally, I have always preferred the hydratube hit to inverting. So - I absolutely feel like I got my value worth. It stopped my desire to purchase a bunch of new glass. So for me, and some others, I believe it does make sense.

Just my :2c:

I am a clumsy person; I don't hide the fact that I blow it all the time. Nevertheless, you point is apt. I should point out that a $400 Puck HT broke as I removed it from the hydrofoot; I probably twisted, and should have pulled straight. I had it no longer then 7 days. So I could have had maybe 13 do20: I suspect they would have lasted longer than 7 days.

So for folks like me, who walk under a raining cloud wherever we go, sometimes the cheaper way is the better way.

I still have my two HT from the original drop this last December; a straight ice pinch HT, and a HydraTree HT. The reason I still have those HT is because I don't use them as much as other glass I've found for me to be as satisfying as HTs. I have a mini-side circ and a regular side circ. I use the side circ's a lot. I broke the stem off the MassDrop side circ. So I've had 6 HTs and four are still intact. Vegas wouldn't give very good odds for glass in my house.

Ultimately, a person should use what they like: I'm just saying it doesn't have to be a hydra-tube should dollars be an issue or if you are a clumsy fuck.

Vapes on vapes on vapes!
I may have to try the quartz VXNails. I thought I had learned my lesson after breaking two or three VXNails, but I was under the influence (of alcohol and I am over 21 years old) and dropped my laptop on top of two of them (tonight)! I had already broken two before this. I have gone through four VXNails total, but it's just because I'm a klutz and have had to adjust to handling a (relatively) thin glass items. Relative to my glass pieces these are thin, but they serve a completely different purpose. Out of all of my breaks I was only really surprised by one of the four, but I have to learned to leave the valuable glass aside while I'm not in a fully conscious state of mind. I can't blame anything but myself for the other three breaks as the first was a result of dropping it on 6" or more on to a sink and t were when I dropped a laptop on them while under the influence of alcohol. Quartz or not... be conscious of your glass.

Edited a few times because I've had quite a few to drink tonight (see: broken VXNails ;)) Sorry that I don't have a real point except... learn from my mistakes! It makes me feel better to make mistakes as long as others and myself have learned from them! :)

Sounds like it was a bad batch, I wouldn't worry too much about it. VapeXhale isn't perfect but their customer support tries very hard to make up for it when something goes wrong and/or they screw up. It may mean you have to wait an extra week for a replacement but in the end you'll get what you paid for without too much hassle. Things should smooth out over time as they get new processes into place and their newer staff members gain experience.

I'm curious to see what people think of the new Q-VXN's. I have 10 VXN's in my rotation so I don't think I'll bother with them for now especially at that price.

Also Coral Reefer is now promoting the MassDrop deal too (over her affiliate coupon at that) so it shouldn't be too long before it hits the lowest price.

Fair enough there, I definitely agree you don't need a hydratube and it's not an issue, if you're clumsy.

And just FYI, to detach hydratubes you don't want to twist, OR pull straight.
The safest way is a gentle rocking back and forth (very small rocks) with no twisting motion. Also, the more force that is used to connect them in the first place...like putting it on a hydrafoot with pressure, the more pressure is required to un-connect them. That's why I almost never use the EVO handsfree - I support the hydratube with my hand and therefore almost no pressure is required to detach it.
