I've always lived in kind of cramped places with people and cats so anything delicate or requiring tools has never seemed possible. I'm totally useless there and can't make one of those. Though... this would give me an excuse to grab an elite for bubblers, wouldn't want to potentially damage my current one.....

I wouldn't want to give you the impression I was good with tools. I am not. :)

I took it to a friend who is and he did it for me. And I fixed his computer... ;)

had a session with the ha last night. I knocked up a new bag using the extreme q glass piece but the small ha bags I got with it. and must say seems to be the best combo yet.

so I want to use the bigger extreme q bags will have to change the pump.

so does any one know the air output of the original h2.2 stock pump?
im going to look at getting a new one

Salutations All_Day_J,

...the HA for my first desktop???

A functional HerbalAire ain't a bad thing if such an electrical table unit suits your physiological needs, e.g. if you're not too sensitive to cannabic dryness and/or you have a water accessory to match - or even better: a FogBong for that matter! But don't search for it around here as this is my own concept and nobody knows what that's really worth, for a lack of duplicate experiments i must observe...

So, briefly put the secret for me is moisture.
32.gif

FogBong just illustrates the injection of some tiny amount of water steam that got it's heat reduced before entering into the cannabic stream, ideally. This is a method allowing "outlet" moisturization, euh...

The adventures i had with my HA v2.1! i'll better stop there!... :D

Anyway, i wanted to advise having this great modding option, from Arizer:

After all handling & Shipping chages add up, eventually.

3.gif

What it does is insert a glass barrier between the crucible's inner aluminium surface and its dry vegetal load. More than 1 tube is probably going to be necessary before a valid candidate is found which will match the crucible properly: it must slip freely and allow for some deposits.

Radiative heat continues to reach the bowl which is inside the short aerated chamber terminating that Arizer Solo Glass Stem from my picture. The 3 holes model(s) would seem optimal for this. Plumber teflon tape was used to create a cheap sealing ring (visibly heat-stressed on the oven side, but i got it at my local hardware store).

A fluffy cotton ball near the plastic adapter end will catch particles, the HA straw/connector system makes it combatible with a black balloon mouthpiece, both directions actually (...), a short flexible 5/16" (I.D.) 7/16" (O.D.) PVC tube might prove convenient as a longer extension adapter. Take note my HA v2.1 came with smaller 3/16" (I.D.) 5/16" (O.D.) NSF-51 (food-safe) aquarium tubing, which doesn't cause me much concern since both formats mate well together anyway. But bigger is better when it comes to flow restriction, so...

Ah, and glass really makes reclaims fun in this case: simply spray enough concentrated alcohol inside the stem, block its 2 ends with oposite fingers and then shake a while to dissolve the golden deposits. Smell alone can feel so captivating, make sure to experiment extracts!...

Good day, have fun!!

:peace:

I love my HA. As I mentioned previously in this thread, I find the best way is to put the whole bud in, then after you can't get anymore to then shred the rest, and vaporize the rest. It is easier to shred after it has crisped up. I am curious about the sublimator and herbalizer. But I won't even entertain the idea of anything new until my HA breaks on me. Which from the looks of how it is built and holds up is long time from now, and by then something new will probably arrive to replace the SUB, and Herbal.

Anyways, I wanted to comment in this thread for two reasons, one it has been a few months since I have been to FC and commented on the HA, and two because I was wondering if anyone else does what I do, and that's replace the tube that is given with a ordinary straw? I do it, and by the end of the week, I have so much resin guncked on it that I can easily use my shred card and press the gunk out like how people do when it comes to get the last squeeze of toothpaste out of the tube. This way I can take the resin and use it as a dab in the vaporizer. Anyone else make homemade resin dabs? Also I have a honeycomb bong from a glass manufacturer I spoke with from the forum and I do not use it anymore, but I have a ton of resin built up on the shaft, does anyone know any easy ways to get that stuff out of it?

should i pull the trigger on the HA for my first desktop??? i'm pretty close to doing so. found one for $128 on ebay NIB.

I've had mine for almost 6 years I think and I love it. I love not grinding too, I don't like dealing with kief. I check from time to time and there is never a speck of green when it's done. Never a bad taste either. A couple months ago I started coughing and I started looking for a water attachment and I saw a post from @MG23 for a great $30 bubbler that's been perfect for me:
HerbalAire + TonG + D020-D = $200 hands-free convection glory:

Sorry for lack of focus at the start, I have no tripod and my hand is shaky.

I was never a big fan of the original D020, but this bub is amazing.
Much more stable overall thanks to the added width and thickness of the can and base.
Also much lower likelihood of splashback when given a powerful clear.
Makes me laugh that the mouthpiece is clearly the same one from the original D020 minus reinforcement.
The thin glass of the mouthpiece looks a bit odd next to the thicker body and much thicker base.

Yes! I just started doing that a couple months ago. Well not the straw thing. Totally kicked myself for hating it and cleaning it out all these years. I switched to a bubbler and missing out on the resin is the one thing I don't like about it. I'm trying to see if I can somehow reclaim it when I clean the bubbler. Though when I do use the whip I just hang it vertically with the end right above tupperware with waxpaper on it. Then I just vape it in a portable wax pen vaporizer. I really enjoy it and it just feels like such a bonus.

Hearing you talk about a bubbler makes me miss my bong, I still have it but miss using it. I just can't justify using it, since I heard in a marijuana documentary from nat geo, that using a bong filters the harshness of smoking by changing the temp through the water into cooler, but then they mentioned that the water does more than cool it down, that it filters thc, and that's when I knew my bong and bubbler days were over. Anything that takes thc away is no good in my book. I wish I knew that before I paid 150 for my double honeycomb USA made bong. I mean what a waste, now it is just for putting roses in. I have a 150 cost vase. That is the most I have ever heard anyone spending on a vase. And I can only have it out for certain company.

Hi again All_Day_J,

...ABV potency?

Here's what i once found:

« ...utterly repulsive because of the intense cauldron/tar odour: its "perfume" is that of an ashtray... »

In other words there's nothing left after it's cooked so i used a glass stem in hope to limit the conductive heat component somewhat, while convection remained the chosen mode and radiative heat still baked the goodies if/when left unattended for too long... By chance my crucible stayed put during removal of the wand.

I hadn't actually seen or heard it anywhere, but I had kind of figured you lost some in the water. Also I prefer the ease of a whip. I have kind of a hook for it so it just hangs next to me, easier to relax in my lazy boy with the whip vs leaning over the bubbler. But I did this for my cough, a phlegmy gross cough I didn't need my wife hearing, being understandably grossed out by, and blaming my vaporizer for. After a couple weeks I'm going to try going back to the whip. Also bubbler has to be cleaned while the whip I just hang to drain the resin and when it get's too gross just cut more off the big spool I got on amazon for cheap. I'm with you about the thc though, I was pretty heart broken when I discovered I could vape the resin 5 years into owning it. Such a horrible waste.

+1 for the HA
I bought it mainly as a bag vape. I have an LSV for whip and direct draw.

I havnt had any of the other combo vapes but against the extreme q and vapir rise I went for the HA mainly because its built like a tank and if the pump goes, down to the fish shop and u can replace it. and the HA was 100gbp.

you wont regret getting one. u will just have to expect getting a few but cheap additions to it to make it better.

I use a mflb stem and 3ft whip.
extreme q glass bag mouthpieces.
if you go for the extreme q mouth pieces you will either have to drill out the mouthpiece and just use those. or do what I did which is buy another one so you can have both

good luck HA is an underated vape that should have more press

I figured that the abv would be spent...that's one of the goals of the HA, efficiency.

Love: no stirring, espresso mode, balloons for newbs/parties, DURABLE

I love the vapolution 2.0 but no balloons, TOO MUCH GLASS

Lets refresh some memories...

Really, surrounded & bombarded with heat like that there's no other alternative scenario to expect!

But that works best for balloons filling non-stop.

...no stirring, espresso mode, balloons...

I sure din't stirr but i still prefered to grind as it accelerated release it seemed.

The original v2.1 configuration hardly felt as appealing as what i've adopted later, a glass accessory past any cannabic vaporisation chamber is no luxury!

:2c:

Balloons make a great impression in groups, yes. As for being "durable" i doubt it actually applies to every single aspect of this machine's (v2.1) design IMO. Here's what i found under its belt, a while ago:
It's not catastrophic not to be perfect and practice helps anyway, so i'd recommend a model 2.2 over the previous one, because of a definite improvement in later thermocouple support especially.

And remember: my HA crucible was twice the capacity of my glass stem... Just in case!

ok... so in my anticipation of receiving my herbalaire 2.2 i've put together an upgraded whip. Specifically, the one on page 27 using the arizer extreme mouthpieces and silicon tubing. From what i understand this will give me a better whip session. What are some experiences that others have had? I'm coming from only the MFLB.

I find the silicone much tastier than the PVC the HA comes with. I have never tried to recover anything from my whips, but I think it may be possible with silicone, but not PVC.

I have 2 different whips, one for drawing from and one that I use with an elbow joint to use with glass pieces that don't easily mate with the HA due to size constraints. With the D020, for example, inverting the HA and dropping it into the joint makes it too close to my face, but works just great with the elbow.

Just ordered a HA h2.2 last night on impulse ( also vaped out lol). I'm pretty stoked! This is my first desktop vape. It was either this or the DBV. I'm clumsy so having a solid vape is a plus. So from a 1-10 how would you guys rate this one? Just overall, no crazy statistical stuff

I don't have a lot of experience with other vapes. I have used a Volcano a couple times and I own (and love) a Lotus v.3. I tend to use the two I have differently, leaning on the HA more when I have visitors, and the Lotus more by myself. Then again I head to the HA for some variety by myself as well. I like them both. :)

Edit: I forgot to give you a rating. With my limited experience I'd give it an 8.

I just got my H2.2 yesterday and would give it at least an 8 already. Loaded according to instruction, the approximately pea-sized bud gave me a nicer buzz than I've felt since I switched from smoking to vaporizing last March. Didn't see vapor at first so I didn't think it was working but kept drawing, started to taste it and came to the point of realizing I felt very good. :D

The main benefit would be keeping the vapor path glass. I have the TONG instead which is teflon and I am fine with that. I think the GONG also replaces the crucible with it's own glass as well.

And as regards the last post, I'm not much of a "cloud chaser". I'm just trying to get the buzz, and clouds don't make you any higher, they just give you better visual clues...

TonG is the standard teflon mouthpiece?

Actually, no, the TONG is an optional mouthpiece (MP) designed for inverting the HA into glass. Instead of the rounded MP that is standard the TONG has a connection that fits in to both 18mm and 14mm joints. You can HOLD the standard MP in a joint and that will work, but if you want to leave it there handsfree you need the TONG or something like it. The downside to the TONG is that the connection to the HA is a little longer than the standard one, so you have to either trim your crucibles or go without (expresso mode).

Added: Lots of good suggestions and instructions just in the last couple pages...

I guess I'm overwhelmed with pages of info ... I thought I had looked back.

Is there a noticeable difference between standard use and gong? Are people cautious about the Teflon ss and aluminum off basing or something's ng?

The HA was my first true vape and I'm still in love with it!

When I want to do a taste test I turn on my HA, dry it's the better for flavor!
With the TonG you can push a bit more the taste experience...and you can connect your HA easily to a WT!

I'm agree it needs more press cause it's a solid and efficient unit, tastier than my nano or cloud+ imho though!

It's a perfect vape tool!
