Discontinued Haze Dual V3

G'day vapers, I was just about to purchase the Pax when I saw this.
In regards to vapor quality and strength how does it compare to the pax and other vapes.
Thank you
To me vapor quality is the same as Pax if not better (i own a Pax too) but the advantage of Haze is you can do any material with it. If you only do dry herb, you have two chambers to fill up and also have the ability to prepack as many cans as you like to take out with you. Another big advantage is the removable batteries.

Wow thanks for your feedback, now hopefully it won't be long until they restock.

Is there a list of upgrades somewhere they listed? Other than the new colors? I want to get another one as a gift for my old man but not sure what else is coming. He would love the green for sure. Did you guys sign up for their text stuff on their homepage?

Yea I signed up and no I do not know of a list of upgrades. I was told we would be testing them (accessories and what not). But as far as what they are I was told to keep checking their site. Scott seems to be the inside man haha he may know of some. He also getting a new unit to replace the old so I'm sure he with go through it with a fine tooth comb and give us a detailed review.

Edit: my backordered cans should be arriving later today. It would be cool as fuck if there were some extra goodies in there like new accessories or if they updated the cans at all. If I notice anything new I'll be sure to share.

...Sorry for the double post but there is no more edit button...

Anyway I received my cans they are the same. I spoke to Amy tho cuz one lid was a little ripped so she is getting that replaced and also sending a new can when they arrive. Here's what Amy had to say about the new cans, "Those cans are designed with a special material which will
decrease heat up time significantly so will be even more effective for dry
herb usage."

I can't wait to try them n I'll let u guys kno if I notice a difference.

I went ahead and asked them for specifics on the changes to the devices arriving next week. Pretty much what I was expecting.......

1)Tighter end caps and selector switch (Inventory should be in next week)

2)Tighter battery door and main door latch. (Inventory should be in next week)

Nothing major. After all there is really nothing major required. I am guessing the second round of preorders will get this version and this will also be the version they have around for some time.

They did share some additional information on some accessories they are considering but they asked me not to make it public and I am of course going to honor that.

Basically they don't want it out there because things are in development and they aren't sure of dates or if they will ever even bring them to market. She said again that they will not release things before they are ready.

I do have some suggestions for them so here goes......

I know I sound lazy but I would like the option of different color lids on the cans (besides black). This way you could distinguish different strains (I like to put one strain in one chamber and a different in the other if I have it). Different colors woild make it easy to know which ones I am pulling out of my canister where I store my cans. Of course I could just lift up the lid to distinguish but again, I'm lazy sometimes...

I would also love if they came out with a stealth ALL black model. Graphite is cool but all black would be sweet! Make it "limited edition" or some shit!

Anyway it's cool the new one's are coming in next week. I hope they come in early enough for them to ship me mine by weeks end. At least my current one is not totally outta commish. I have continue to enjoyed it daily!

Looking forward to more people getting their hands on these. Hopefully they join and leave feedback if they aren't already here.

Good to hear they're improving the cans for herb usage!
Even though I haven't received mine yet (5 days from Atlanta to Miami, has now been stuck at customs for a week already:doh:)
I was going to order some cans as I will definitely use those but with these shipping rates I'd have to be buying a lot of cans for it to be reasonable :uhoh:, I hope EU suppliers will start to stock the haze vaporizer with accessories soon

I'm very interested in the Haze. It seems to hit high marks in some very important areas:
A. Great name (my fave strain lol)
B. The dual chambers, errll and bud in same unit at the same time? This is MAJOR!
C. Seems the removable 'cans' make for very easy cleaning
D. Rechargeable batts that can be replaced
E. Ability to pack extra cans for music festivals and shows.
Potential downsides include the convection vs conduction question. Also the portability/stealth factor is not great. I understand the 'flask' look, but in some bars and music venues the flask is actually more of an issue for the front door folks than a vape. Flasks mean less $$$ for their bar, lol.

I'm not usually an 'early adopter' in these technologies, and I just purchased a Pax a few weeks ago, but this unit has me very close to pulling the trigger on a purchase.

I like the fact that this can do both conduction and convection. I prefer conduction and use it with conduction screens provided (unless i am using the cans which i do a lot) since it produces more vapor. Stealth concept is not the primary focus of this product in my opinion but since it is extremely small (easily fits in my palm), i never had an issue with it. I usually do not expose it while i am driving and hold it inside of my palm. If you enjoy your Pax from performance point, you will certainly like Haze as well. Especially if you like trying/using wax or oils.

@eruptor u said u just got ur pax well these two combined are the best tag team. I primarily use my pax at work for extra stealthy and quick dump/load. But my haze is literally for everything else, especially driving I pop in two cans of bud/wax n vape for close to an hour of aimless driving lol. The haze is stealthy enough for what I use it for I haven't seen an issue yet. I also conceal it in my palm with ease if I want to hide it but I basically rip it out in the open.

I'm pumped, next weekend I'm driving up to Maine for some camping nd white water rafting and my haze will be right by my side. Well maybe not the rafting part but every other time it will.

Anyway if stealthy/portability is basically the only down side I wouldn't let that hold u back.

Gentlemen,

I am very interested in getting a new vaporizer and the Haze seems most interesting. I have an Ascent and though it has certain ingenious features, I have GREAT concern re: the outgassing of cheap Chinese plastics. The smell was horrible when I received it. I cycled it at least a hundred times over four weeks and maybe it mostly disappeared. However, despite some significant use, I still seem to smell at higher temperatures (380) when no material is in the bowl. I note the plastic pieces surrounding the bowl and directly above surrounding the "glass screen". I note that several users at FC commented on this issue as well so I know it is not my paranoid fantasy.

My question: Has anyone noticed outgassing with the Haze? Has the taste been totally clean?? I am assuming and hoping that due to a complete stainless steel vapor path and unit - that there is no such outgassing.

My main disappointment with the Haze is the lack of a refined temperature control - I really do like the ability to drop the temp to the lowest possible.

I am disappointed with the current state of portable vaporizers - everything seems so short of the perfect vaporizer...:ugh:

The Ascent smell comes from the food-grade silicone, unless you got a defective unit (in which case you should contact their customer support)

It's been discussed in lenght so please re-read the relevant thread.

Haze uses stainless steel in all parts that have contact with herb and vapor. I never used Ascent before but my DaVinci had that funky taste. I do not experience this with Haze.

The temperature options were discussed in this forum before, please see the earlier posts. The unit works great at all settings but if you like to play/change your settings constantly , this may not be the best product for you. I always operate at settings 3 and 4. I own a Pax as well and it has only 3 settings but both of these products (Haze and Pax) gets the job done perfectly. Haze would cater to more people if they add more temp settings i believe but like i said, i enjoy it as it is so far.

Hey everyone,

I got an email a short bit ago that informed me the new units are in and they are getting them out to their distributors. So all you folks on the "second round" of preorders shouldn't be waiting long!

I received the same message, I put my order in, hopefully early next week should get my new toy/s ;)
@cenzo6969 are you a dry herb user? I recommend giving wax a shot too with Haze (if you have access to wax). I think it will blow your mind away in terms of how many hits you can get out of a tiny dab. Please share your feedback with us.

Higher than a Pterodactyl

You can call me Caveman.
For everything I've read, this seems like a decent vape. But the lack of temp control, super high price point for an unknown, and the silly lid staying open for the straw during use (would drive me nuts) kill it. For the money it should be MUCH more refined in my opinion.

Definitely one I'll be watching closely. Though without major updates, or a severely better tag. I wouldn't buy it over a proven vape right now.

Design and appearance perspective, they can come up with a lot of variations which i agree with and all variations may be good selling points for different people but from performance perspective, in my opinion, it is same or better than the similar price point alternatives. The features packed into this product are simply way more than the alternatives offer (at least the ones i owned and currently use) It comes down to what would a user sacrifice when making a choice between all these products. Performance, design, battery life, vapor quality, taste, temperature settings etc. My point is, there are several $249.00 quality units in the market in terms of portables and choosing one with the most offered features make sense to me, given all else are the same/similar/comparable/livable with.

Hey guys,

I was finally able to pick mine up from the post office yesterday and had multiple sessions.

I love the unit and the way it operates and the clouds I get out of it.

I have trouble with the temperature indicator though, it seems like it's very unreliable, I have had times where I was waiting for 5 minutes for it to reach temp level 3, when I then cycled back to 1 it was still blinking but when I took a draw I got a huge cloud as if it had been heating to 4.
I just tried the same with temp 1, after 3 minutes of waiting I still have a blinking light but the bowl is really hot

Sometimes it does seem to work as intended and the lights will go solid for a moment, flash when I take a draw and then go solid again, which I would expect to be normal behaviour.

I think it's a shame that the temp indicator does not show you the progress of heating up by making the levels it reached solid, it seems like I am waiting for ages without any progress.
I wonder whether the temp lights only go solid once it is at exactly that temp and not over it, so temp 1 would not go solid if it's 30c hotter or something.

I'll contact Haze technologies and see what they've got to say, I hope the warranty procedure is good, did you guys need to ship it back first?
I don't think I can take another 20 days of waiting for shipping it out, and then another 20 to receive it again :ugh:

I never pay attention to the temperature lights.

I am pretty sure they are set up to stop blinking when the unit has met the exact temperature for whatever setting you are on but I agree with you, they seem a bit unreliable.

Since I care less about what exact temperature I am at and more about the clouds I am getting, I have dismissed this feature and quite frankly find the blinking lights a bit of an annoyance. This is one of those YMMV features if you ask me......

Don't get me wrong.....I would love to have more temp. settings (and they tell me that will be included sometime down the line, but not too soon). It's just that I really don't care if I am exactly on there as long as the unit is performing and producing good clouds.

As for your warranty question, Haze stands behind their product and the service has been no less than outstanding! I wouldn't worry about them taking care of you should you find the need.

I am not sure if they have a defined process of swapping units out but if you are worried about being without the unit and want a replacement shipped first I would just ask them for that. Ask for Jamie or Amy (there are only like six of them but they manage to provide great responsiveness to service questions). I have been working with Jamie and he/she (frankly not sure on the gender) has been extremely open and responsive. @NickDlow had been working with Amy and seems to have had a positive experience ad well.

He had an issue and was able to get a new unit shipped before he sent his old one back. I had the same offer but not sure if this is a courtesy to us early adopters, decided on a case by case basis or something else......

Based on my experience you could offer the security of charging your credit card again if the original doesn't show up by an agreed upon date to get them to send you the replacement first. However I don't know if they would even require that.

Glad you are enjoying it!

It has been said time and time again that this unit is not for everyone. If they had more temp settings I think it would cater to a wider audience. However the unit (as is) offers great convenience features like the dual bowl, easy cleaning, removable batteries and the multipurpose cans (for wax/oil/herb on the go) which give it a big advantage (IMO) over a lot of the competition available on the market right now.

Come back and tell us more after you have had more time with it. I am interested in addition opinions and perspective on this.

Scott, the new unit i bought for my dad just arrived. Seems like they discontinued that feature since most of us asked about that. My original one used to blink after draws but it explains in the original DVD that the unit will give you that feedback after each draw since it cools the chamber and it reheats to the set/desired temperature. The new one i received does not do that blinking any more. Can you ask them about this? Looks like they also fixed the loose caps that some people reported here for the earlier model. I will use this with my dad tomorrow and will let you guys know if i notice any other improvements.

I will check with them but this seems strange.

Does this mean @Lets_Vape has an original run model? Where did you purchase from and when?

@trevorzamani yes they said they were improving the door and hinges. However no mention of anything on the blinking lights so I will double check. Can you do us all a favor and post some photos of the green colored model? There isn't much out there to look at and I might opt for that when I return mine. I have not done that yet.

Edit:

So they got back to me on the blinking lights and here is what they wrote:

We got rid of this feature since it created more confusion than the intended reheat feedback to the user. The LED lights blink until the set temperature is reached. They go solid once you are at desired temperature. In the earlier model, it used to also blink (3-5 seconds) after each draw (since you are cooling the chamber with a draw, for about 10-20F) and it reheats to the set temperature after each draw. During this reheating, we were giving feedback to the user with blinking LED but looks like most users get confused with this and did not understand the feedback display so we got rid of this. All latest units will have initial blinking until the set temperature is reached and they will stay solid as far as you are at that set temperature. So there will be no blinking after each draw. If you go from lets say setting 3 to 4, there will be blinking again until you reach the 4th setting. If you go from setting 4 to setting 3, there will be no blinking since the chamber is still hot.

So yes it's gone, outside of the initial start up.

I hope this helps.

I also have to take this opportunity to once again let everyone know how amazing the service and response is from Haze. I rarely wait more than an hour before they respond to my requests and this includes times when I gave emailed them on weekends (ie today)! This is a far cry from some other more established manufacturers I have been reading about who cannot seem to respond to repeated requests or seem to give accurate information.

I also find it a bit comical how people defend them saying they are focusing on filling orders for a new product release or saying they are a manufacturer and if you want better service you should wait to purchase from a retailer. I won't mention the company I am referring to here but many will be able to figure out who I am taking about.

In the end each company has the right to focus and run their business however they choose. I am simply pointing out that it is possible for a manufacturer to provide top notch timely service as well as respond to user feedback in an effort continually improve their device. I am also impressed on how they able to bring these changes to market so quickly. Great job Haze!
