Looking for a new vape that heats quickly.

I'll start off by giving my vape history. I originally owned a VaporGenie, but sold that and bought an iolite. I like the stealthiness of the iolite, but I miss the quick, efficient hits I could get off of the VG. Now I'm looking for a second vape to compliment the iolite. I'd get another VG, but the learning curve is a bit too steep for other people. It doesn't have to be stealthy, but I'd like it to be quick (including heat up time) and easy to use. I'd also like it to have less hits per bowl than the iolite. I've done a bit of research, and I haven't found one that doesn't take a long time to heat other than the VG. Now that I'm in college, I wouldn't mind getting something stationary, either. I don't have a price limit, but the cheaper the better. Let me know if there's anything else I should mention, and thanks for the help in advance.

The Magic-Flight Launch Box only needs 5 seconds to warm-up: http://www.fuckcombustion.com/viewtopic.php?id=909&p=1

Wow, that looks great. How quickly does it finish a bowl, and about how much can the bowl hold?

Edit: Nevermind, I found out myself (why did I even ask?). The answers are:

4-6 hits per bowl
.05-.1 g per bowl

:/..... Any other suggestions that can hold more weed per bowl? .1 grams wouldn't be very good for using with other people, let alone getting really high by myself.

Your requirements don't fit many vapes-fast heat up, easy to use, less bowl capacity than the iolite. Even if the MF Launch Box was OK with you, not many people would want that and the iolite as their only options. If I were you I wouldn't worry about bowl capacity. Just because a bowl holds a lot doesn't mean you have to fill it. And if you can't wait a couple of minutes to get a vape up to operating temp, your options are really limited. Your definition of "a long time to heat" seems pretty extreme. Personally, I think a good choice would be the DBV.

Err, I meant that I wanted more capacity than the Launch Box would hold, :p. I'm happy with the bowl size of the iolite. But yeah, I definitely see that my opinion of a long time for heating is a bit skewed, but it's because I used a VG for so long... I've just gotten used to not having to wait at all. But yeah, that's really my most important need. The iolite may heat up fast, but you have to hit it for so long that something with more efficient hits and a slow heat up time would be just as efficient (time wise).

A Vapir Mini heats up really fast. Probably faster than anything but the LB. Of course you have to be willing to put up with its other 'issues'. ;)

How fast is "fast"? That is, which vapes are in the "2 minutes (or less) from power on to first toke" range?

I think that the PD should be mentioned. I think it ticks all the boxes. As the OP said something stationary and quick to heat up, leave the PD on 24/7 as its designed and you wont get a quicker 'heat up time' :brow::brow::cool:

It does take at least 45 mins to heat when you first turn it on, but it doesn't use much power to leave on all the time.

i can appreciate that feature of the PD. all my designs like that would heat saturate and want to destroy themselves -- clearly the PD design is superior.

But if you want portable -- away from AC power -- how do they rank? i have seen the (blue LED) light ... battery power for all future Bud Toasters, with AC for the battery charger.

Bag vapes are fun if you have alot of freinds around that you will vape with, women and first timers especially seem to enjoy the novelty of using bags.

A Firefly takes about 10 seconds or so, you can vape whole nuggs and get excellent taste, but the battery life is pretty short, you would want at least 2 batteries.

The Haze Vaporizer or the Flowermate V. The Haze is out or stock atm will be back in about two weeks. The Flowermate Vapormax V is on sale at Massdrop for 69.99. Check out the portable vaporizer thread candidates for more info on here.

How about the Hammer? Pocket to vapor in ten seconds flat. Or less. Plenty cheap, easy for new users since you start with a fresh stem each time and you can hit it by time (that is heat for X seconds then hit).

And it's kind of a fun vape in it's own right.

Please pay attention to the posting dates when replying to this type of thread. It's not general interest and I suspect the OP made his decision 5 years ago when the thread was last active.
