What type of a vaper are you?

What is your primary style of vaporizing?

I am no ''type" and don't identify with "the vaping lifestyle". I medicate where I need to, with the method that's available. This isn't "Hydroponic Living" or other lifestyle magazine crap. God help me when Vaping Life magazine shows up.

Also, I didn't see anyone explain the larger number of views on Portables over desktop. It seems to me that a whole lot of page views are made by non-posting members or just anonymous viewers. For the first-timers, they probably associate vaping with e-cigarettes as a portable. Someone trying to decide if vaping is right for them wouldn't want to commit to a bigger, more expensive unit. So my belief is that the larger numbers of unregistered users' interest in portables is what skews the numbers. FC members are by definition more dedicated, and have no problem using all kinds of portables, as well as purchasing a desktop unit for daily use.

Someone trying to decide if vaping is right for them wouldn't want to commit to a bigger, more expensive unit.

Excepted most recent portables tend to be more expensive than their desktop counterparts (ex: Elevape, Ascent, Pax vs Vapolution2, DBV etc)

For my part I bought a portable first, because I knew I would be spending more time daily on average far from my home (and bringing a desktop unit in my bag seemed out of the question) But then I realized one portable was not enough to last an entire day for me, I was constantly charging it and was afraid to find myself away from a power outlet for too long...

That really annoyed me, as previously I was dependant on rolling paper, tobacco and a lighter to roll my spliffs, and I swapped that to become dependant on power outlets! (Add to that non replaceable batteries in most portables...)

Getting a second (then a third..) portable kinda solved my issue but it's still on the limit for my super high daily consumption rate, and I still have to do some quick charges there and there where I can, otherwise I risk ending out of juice and might be tempted to combust at last resort... :/

My next purchase will be a desktop unit so I don't ruin my portable batteries for nothing when I'm at home, otherwise I got the feeling they won't last more than one year despite how careful I am with them (no over or under charging, keeping them as cool as possible etc)

I briefly considered butane powered vapes, but 1) I dislike butane smell 2) where I live anything like that would get you associated to being a crack-head 3) I would just become dependant on butane rather than leccy... so what?

Type of vaper I am. hmmm I use both portable and tabletop vaporizers.
I'm guessing alot of people use MJ. That being said alot can be said about tolerance etc. how much each and everyone needs per day can be taken into account as to what kind of vaper you are.
I for myself use MJ daily bases so i went for a tabletop first then figured i need to be able to vaporize on the go.
I only ever bought 2 tabletops found some nice info on this forum on which ones to choose as well :)!Edit: forgot I also have UFO lying around here somewhere :) soon it will be winter again time to fire that up :p
At least the second tabletop I bought hehe :D
Anyway I can't speak for other vaporizers but I find that my Sublimator hits me well, The Verdamper I have also hits good but in another way. Sublimator is the way to go for me.
As for portables, I have alot of em :) gotta try/catch em all ^^!!!
At the moment I seems to be getting settled with the butane powered portable like The Hammer, Vapman and Vaponic :).
To come back to my Vaping, I use MJ alot, too much maybe, but i tend to make a cycle of which device I use: The Sublimator for heavy hitting, the portables for when I'm into finnicking or can't be bothered waiting for the tabletop to heat up + the butane powered portables are just plain fun to work with :p

I have recently started vaping and got the mflb. I am pretty happy, our place doesn't wreak of weed now.

I have used it almost exclusively when on my own or with one other person. When it is 3+ people we switch to the bong. I did order a whip attachment that will allow the mflb to be used with the bong and our other various glass pieces. hopefully that will arrive soon.

Just ordered a vapir rise for my first desktop. Why a vapir rise? I just gotta be different.... Plus I still love my vapir2 so I figured I'd give them a shot...

Welcome! And hopefully it arrives soon. Where did you get the whip attachment from?

I actually ordered the orbiter directly from magic flight... UPS has it scheduled for delivery today!

The whip with the 14mm adapter can be bought for $30 separately if one does not need the orbiter itself.
One of the whips that the orbiter comes with has a 14mm attachment that should let the mflb work with most of my other pieces.

I try using my Magic Flight, but without usb pass through, it just is not worth it, the batteries die so fast, and I don't like having to grind up my bud during first use, I like to put it in my desktop then after it is crispy to grind and then in my desktop again. I also got something from the dispensary I frequent and I got a vapor pen for free. I can see now why it is for free. It dies so fast even if you started with it fully charged. And even if you have it plugged in while using it. It did a lot of good when I first started puffing at it, but now that half of the cartridge is gone it doesn't even send the rest out.

Does anyone know how to get the stuff to keep going out the cartridge once half of it is gone? I am talking about the kind of cartridges from dank vape. Not specifically their kind of cartridges, just their type.

It looks like the kind of pen I got is the one in this video.

Has anyone tried these and had any luck? And does anyone have any experience with the glass globe compared to the dank vape. Didn't mean to hijack this thread, just wanted to throw in a couple of questions, while I answer what this thread is about by stating that I stick with my desktop, but not my portable vapes.

The longer I spend vaporizing and feeling the true way to receive medicine (as opposed to smoking which can so often become mixed in with socializing, self-abuse and pure unproductive recreation' the more I appreciate what you said.
However we do it, there are no categorizations of the 'type' of vaper. You either get medicated or you don't! The statistical info is interesting to me however :)

Well yes, at some point the method you use is of little importance clearly... When you need to medicate, you need to medicate...

I have one portable vape, and I just got into it. But I'm already cutting back on smoking a lot because vaping is better. My brother started with a Vicod 5g 2nd gen at our local head shop and then I ordered the Tyga x Shine Pillar and I haven't looked back since. It's discreet, and I live with my parents, so it works. I've thought about desktop vapes, but I don't know if I like the idea of using bags. I can guarantee I will pick up a desktop unit at some point, just not getting enough power out of my portable.

UPDATE: I now have an Herbalizer on the way. Got one for $480, what a steal.

Since I live at home with my uninformed and drug hating mother and to a lesser drug hating extent the rest of my family, I'd be committing freedom suicide if I had a desktop vape even if I hid it in my closet. I wanna be able to instantly hide it if I need to. Not because I'm worried about getting caught doing something illegal, which... I'm not doing that so that shouldn't matter. What sucks is that it does matter to specifically her the most. And that would go so badly I don't even want to think about it. Great thing about portables is I can pop that fucker in my purse, and nobody sees it. What I'm looking at, I can even hide in my hand. Since I'm "50 states legals" only it can even come to work with me and a dog could be on my locker and find nothing. If I need herbal help, it's only a click away. Not a wait til I get home, wait for a desktop to warm up, wait for the vapor..... proceed with rocking back and forth from the anxiety or whatever I need the help for.... finally hit it and go whew, that was close. Yeah. Bad idea in my case. Desktops work real well for some people judging by the posts but until I'm gone out of this house it isn't for me.

I'm a ripper. Although being a sipper can be fun & tasty, it just doesn't get me where I want to go. Now that concentrates are asserting themselves into my vaping repertoire, tolerance is even more of an issue. I want to continue to enjoy flowers, so instituting more discipline into my routine will continue to be the answer. So no concentrates until later in the evening, don't let wake n' bake morph into 4:20, that kind of thing...

I'm just the opposite. I use (micro dose) concentrates on a sic dnail during the day, and my wife and I share a couple mighty bowls at night, along with a bed time cannacap.

I've used vapes since 09 (volcano) and have been smoke free going on 3 years. Currently 2 underdogs, an enano, a silver surfer, the volcano, my mighty, and my sic dnail.

I LOOOVVEEEEE desktops but mainly use portables. My favorite desktop right now is ed's log. Man that thing rips. I can only use it on the best days (when it is sunny as hell) because I vape outside and I don't want to risk ruining it... but man it is the best desktop I've used.

I'm purely a recreational user. I try not to vape in the house. Most of my vaping happens around me being out doing things. Skiing in the winter, and biking the rest of the year. Portable vapes are great for people who vape and do sports at the same time.

I have changed my vaporizing habits over the last few years since I originally posted in the thread. I use a few log vapes at home 65% of the time. I just got a new Solo 2 so I am using it way more right now because I like it so much.:)

Edit
Im kind of a sipper and like a session verses a few heavy hits. I like to enjoy the vapor taste as well as getting medicated. I only use really high temps with a WT.

I'm having the same "problem" with my Vivant Alternate. One of the best portables I've had. The good news is it's getting me out on my bike more often.

I would say I'm a OCD vapor, but that isn't quite true. I just tend to assign roles to things and not really deviate. So my UD gets used only in my bedroom, my Solo is for tub time use and my Air is my on-the-go companion. It all adds up to love, so I'm satisfied :)

I used to snap .1 to .25 bong loads more than I could count, whenever I could. Now that I'm dabbing out of what I consider to be a real concentrate vape, I find myself much more consistently and thoroughly satisfied with my high compared to combusting. I have many moments where I want to take another, whether it's for flavor or fun, only to have my mind (and body) tell me that I'm "good". Not that I always listen to myself

I thought I would dust this thread off.
I like to use a few vaporizers. I have some portables that I seldom get out but may go back to some day. I have an EVO that I save for when I really want to get blasted. I don't use it every day but a few sessions a week. If I use my hard core vaporizer all the time, when I go back to something less it doesn't get the job done. It doesn't have the effect that it used to have.
The Woodscents from @Ed's TnT is a hardcore log IMO, I have one and it's beautiful. It seems more hard hitting than my Enano. I love both logs.

IMO if i use something hardcore all the time that screws with how my other vaporizers effect me. I say save the hardcore vaporizers and not use them continually all the time. It seems like my body gets used to something more hardcore quickly. That might be just me.

I vaporize for a couple of medical conditions as well as recreationally. I work to keep my tolerance down. I had a few days T break last week to rev things help.

My body gets used to the same cannabis as well, so I switch around strains. I usually have five or six different strains in my stash sometimes more.

Always remember to fuck combustion. :leaf::2c:Happy Friday FC.
