What is being pissed going to achieve?
It would further raise the temperature in this (already quite warm) thread. I applaud @Deja Vu for taking it in stride and being happy with it the way it is.

There have been some borderline point-worthy posts lately, so I suggest we keep the personal swipes out of any further discussion or I'll go get mom's whip.

:peace:

Viewing your vid it doesn't really seem to tornado all that well until you stop pulling and gravity alone takes over - JMO based on observation.:2c::2c::peace:

I agree, but when I started using my first recycler, I had to train myself how to hit it right. It was unlike anything I was used to. The first vids I shot of my recycler, were pretty weak. Take a vid of me using it now, and that thing is a tight fucking vortex - one that'll have your underpants off in a heartbeat.

So... just saying.

EDIT: Just to be clear here, I have never used a Cory recycler.

I see a clear vortex on the first pull (when the video isn't focused so much on the top chamber), not so much on the second until it drains. On my pieces, water level is very important as far as achieving the optimal visual effect. I tend to stand in front of the mirror in my bathroom and pull while looking into the mirror, adjusting the water level until I've got it just right. How I pull also matters.

I'm not ready to declare that piece "non-vortexing", at all. And for what it's worth, I think it's pretty. :) (Although I'm very sorry it wasn't what you asked for! But let's be honest...it's hardly junk, and don't let anyone convince you otherwise.)

I am still spending quite a bit of time learning it in the mirror  its very interesting to experiment.
and yeah it isnt exactly what I wanted, but as some people have pointed out here; the mouthpiece is closer to what I wanted than what he normally does, so i'm satisfied that he sorta met me halfway, and the colour has grown on me a lot. It vortexes enough for a novice like me! Thanks for the lovely comment, sometimes us grumpy bastards just need a gentle woman's opinion to lighten the mood

I think you need to get that so we can see a water test...

Edit: Holy Shit! There is a water test up on the IG feed now. Very Cool!

Not my style at all.. Looks difficult to make though so props to him. He got my KIK's this morning and replied finally to say that he was glad it arrived safely, he gets worried for far away destinations that something may happen.. I felt like saying 'use a box next time ;)' but it arrived safely anyway so no blood no foul I guess :p

Yep, he rematerialized this morning and replied to my KIKs as well. He is already working on a new piece for me.
Nice one! What's your order?
As a side note; and not to anyone in particular, but I've managed to vortex my hits every time now. The trick for me is a water level about an inch above the diffusion stem, and a nice steady medium to low speed inhale. Twirls like a pirouette.

Is it possible to link the IG post in here? Dunno how that would work. Doesn't look quite to the level of the MS ones, but is quite impressive anyway. Looks kind of like a Pachinko game...

The legitimate ones are beautiful, but unless it's some sort of novelty crystal skull egg then it just doesn't wet my appetite personally.
That 2nd video however is a breathtaking feat of skill!

Middle of the egg is hollow, yes.
LOL, I guess "empty" or "dry" might have been better than hollow, but you got it. ;)

Actual MS pieces aren't like that at the base but it looks like CGD is using a hollow foot design. So yes I think the base holds water.
Stuff like this just points out to me what a glass neophyte I am. Looking at other MS pieces its fascinating how complicated they can and do get. I was always surrounded by straight bongs or simple beakers. This is very different.

I've seen many cabinets full of art glass, but the idea of a cabinet full of smoking glass takes a little getting used to for a Midwesterner born and raised.
