I bought my LB early this year, and it has since become an everyday harbinger of happiness.

Today, however, my plastic cover has cracked a little bit, and I was wondering how to contact MagicFlight to get a replacement, as I fear it may worsen and render the device inoperable.

The problem is not serious yet, but I figure this should be a relatively easy replacement. Is Magic Flight out there? Is this problem covered by warranty?

So I got my MFLB in today from vapeworld and boy was I excited. I wanted to throw this out there, as a common discussion in here is the topic of chargers and batteries. I am not sure what chargers are coming via other companies, but vapeworld sent me a 4 compartment, 2hr charger with my order and I was so excited to see that, rather than the 2 space 8hr charger. Before ordering though, I would make sure to call and double check with them. On the website it states that the charger is subject to change, so who knows if I got a special present cuz it was laying around, or they actually got a bunch of these to replace the old-problem ones. It almost feels like a waste to say these things, as its said over and over in here... but this thing is great. So efficient, wonderfully compact, beautiful and smile producing. Everyone I show is like HOLY COW that thing is small. Another little thing I love about the company, is that I picked up a Magic Flight t-shirt that VW sells and one great thing about that, is it has the MF Love moto on it, with the design and it says Magic Flight on it... the cool part is that it in no way looks like a typical "stoner or weed" shirt, so I can wear it out and I get no weird looks by police or my boss, etc. But the benefit is that anyone who knows what a MFLB is they'll most deff. give me a nice nod or understanding, thus giving us an opportunity to "bond" after the initial acknowledgment of awesomeness that the MFLB is.
I have read about the first 30 pages of this thread and the last 20-30 or so, so forgive me if thsi question was allready asked and answered, but on the bottom of the MFLB there is a 6 digit number, on mine atleast, I was wondering if this is a serial number or an actual production number?

much peace and love vapor brothers and sisters

Whoa a mflb tshirt? Must have , must have

Makes me think about our FC shirt that we kicked around this summer.

I believe that the serial # is the production # . I got my lb in april with
numbers starting 275,000 approx. My friend got his in, june and his
numbers started with 327,000 approx. These look like production/ serial #
runs.
They must be selling close to 51000 units every two months.
Our congregation grows ! :D

Okay... I finally got my fancy schmansy charger in... The C9000, got some of the Powerex's with it too.

Anyone know which is who and what MAH I should tell the charger - it wants specifics lol!

Ooh, one more question. Reading the manual it says it will ask me the charge rate to use for regular charge. I see an example of 2700 mah batteries with 0.1C or 270mah ?? Would this be the setting?? The new powerex's are 2700 mah but not sure about others.

Thanks in advance for any info :D :peace:

I have the same charger and batteries, the following info is from the maha site.
http://www.mahaenergy.com/store/mhc9000faq.asp

The recommended charging current is 0.5C, or 0.5 times the battery capacity. The recommended discharging current is 0.25C, or 0.25C times the battery capacity. Here are some settings for common batteries:

2100mAh Charge: 1000mA Discharge: 500mA - all stock magic-flight batteries including eneloops

2700mAh Charge: 1300mA Discharge: 700mA - your new Powerex 2700mAh batteries

In the future for normal charging just place the batteries in the charger and if you don't touch any buttons for 10 seconds it will default to start charging at 1000mA. For the Powerex 2700's you can boost the current up to 1300mA for a faster charge, but it is not necessary.

For unknown batteries, none will be less than 2000mAh so just pick the settings for the 2100mAh above to stay on the safe side and sit back, relax and "hit the trenches" while your new charger goes to work for you.

Hey guys, been following this topic for a while, and I was wondering if we can deviate from the usual battery, how to draw hits, how to clean the screen, and intro talk and actually get in to some details.

For instance, I have a noice amount of honey oil build up in the light chamber, and was wondering, HOW DO I EFFECTIVELY collect it? I don't want to use a paper clip and scrape as it is usually a sloppy way to get things done. Is there an alcohol setup? has ne one tried?

Got a question about herb grinders (space case/chromium crusher/etc)... do they grind herb fine enough for the MFLB? What's your experience?

I have many grinders, but my two favorites are a cheap coffee grinder and my number one fav... a 2pc Cosmic Case with the sharp as hell diamond teeth. Depending on how many times you twist the grinder back and forth, it is capable of turning your herb to sand consistency!

This is one of my favorite parts about the Cosmic Case LOL:

Hey guys, I bought my magic flight about 3 months ago and it works great, but the trench has developed a yellowish color to it. Is this normal or did I accidentally combust and not know it? What happens when you combust and what would it look like/do to it? I love the MFLB btw it was definitely worth every penny!

Mine has the same yellow tint. Ive combusted on accident twice. I've cleaned it thoroughly and the color is still there.

It doesnt effect the box and really doesnt matter. you can try to clean it with the brush dipped in ISO and then doing a battery clean.

its Vapor residue, just use a little high percentage rubbing alc and the small brush and some patience and brush it away.

With this vaporizer there is a lot of pushing the battery in and out.
To make it work you have to push the battery.
I tried just now with the different batteries I have and you don't have to push that hard at all.
It is less of a push then crushing a grape.
I just tested with the differenct batteries I have.

Cool, MichMartin, I reckon I can handle crushing a grape. Will think about it! Thanks for your response. :)

I put a new MFLB on a scale with the stock battery in place and pushed until the light came on. Averaged 1250g.

Not sure how much help that is.

Hahaha, thanks vtac - that's...about as precise as an answer can get!! I'll just be off to the kitchen to grab the scales now. ;) Thanks for that, eh, appreciate it a lot!

Hi,

Yes, we are "out there"! To contact us, you can either use the email address in the link to the left of this post, or you can write directly to CustomerService@blisssville.com for warranty support.

Generally, the warranty covers things that would make the unit inoperable -- which generally means any problem that results in a failure to produce vapor (torn screen, bad contacts, etc). At the moment, I would recommend trying to get as much use out of your existing Box as you can, and then contact us if there is an actual breakage.

I've actually been thinking about buying a sheet of plexiglass and making a lot of lids, just because I'm OCD and don't like any scratches. I could slap a new lid on every 2 months or so.

I believe I read somewhere earlier in this thread that it is just a random number, not even necessarily 6 digits, for them to keep track of units, and has nothing to do with when it was produced. Be sure to keep your digits safe though, you need it for getting a warranty replacement! On that note, BlissSville just shipped out my replacement box and charger. EXCEPTIONAL CUSTOMER SERVICE! :D

Anyone reading this and on the edge about whether to buy one, do it. I think everyone should own one.

p.s here is a post I wrote a while back. might help out some new people.

I've been using my MLFB for a bit now and I love it.. i've been experimenting with various methods and I found this works the best for me and gives me pretty much an even brown AVB.

1. Make sure your bud is all ground up nicely and there are no stems and stuff inside. The consistency you should be going for is maybe like the size of regular kitchen sugar or salt for the best hits. The vape will work just fine if its not that consistent, but it is what you should be aiming for.

2. Get all the weed into the trench carefully. I usually use the brush it came with coz sometimes dank can get really sticky with your fingers.

3. I usually spend a couple of seconds tapping the box gently after getting the bud in to just make sure it's all shaped nicely and there aren't any loose gaps and stuff. After you're done doing that and your trench looks nice and neat, put in a fully charged battery.

4. Wait for a few seconds before you begin inhaling. How many, time will tell. I usually wait for 2 seconds on a fresh battery, 3-5 if its a used battery. The more you vape, the better youl'll be able to judge how long to wait.

5. Keep inhaling slowly until your lungs are about 80% full. You should ideally IMO feel a nice warm vapor coming through. If you can't, inhale slower. If it's too hot, inhale faster. Eventually you'll find that perfect amount of pressure to use.

6. When your lungs are almost 80% full and you're almost done taking a hit, remove the battery and continue inhaling a little quicker for 1 or 2 seconds. After that, take off the launch box and inhale fresh air deeply into your lungs until they are 100% full. This will push the vapor deeper inside your lungs and also give you some oxygen After this, hold your breath for as long as you can.

7. When you can't hold your breath any longer, let out a little bit of air and immediately inhale fresh air quickly to replace it until your lungs are back to full capacity and hold your breath.

8. Repeat step 7 atleast twice until there is no/barely any visible vapour upon exhaling.

8.5 Enjoy that awesome deep hit, seriously lol vapour fucks you up like no other

9. Shake the box around a bit if you're taking another hit to mix the herb around. If you want, after the first 2-3 hits you can dump all the weed out of the trench onto some paper and something and grind it some more between your fingers before filling it all back. Should give you better hits.

I find this method maximizes efficiency and also minimizes odour. I'm loving this vape, i've been getting high at places I wouldn't even have imagined possible. The great before AND after-sales service and lifetime warranty pretty much seals the deal.

Have fun vaping XD It's almost like a daily ritual haha, all the grinding and charging batteries and collecting AVB and shit.

Oh yeah, above all don't worry so much about all the techniques and shit, it'll come with practice. Just enjoy the vape and this beautiful herb

Hello everyone,

Bought my MFLB two weeks ago. Like it so far. Use it primarily indoors, and appreciate its discreteness. I've been trying to hit it straight from the box lately, but it gets a little bit too hot near the draw hole for my comfort.

Overall, I'd give it 4 out of 5 stars. Solid product. Fun to use. Works as advertised, pretty much.

Mine shipped with a Tenergy T-3150 rapid charger. Seems to work pretty well with the original LB batteries (Eneloop? Imedion?), but it didn't seem to work too well with some old Energizer NiMH AAs I had laying around.

What charger did everybody's LB come with? Do you still use it, or have you replaced it?

Also, what type of environment do you generally use the LB in? Indoors/Outdoors, alone or in groups, at home or on location, etc.

My C9000 should arrive tomorrow or monday. I've been using the stock charger for now. Looking forward to the 2700mah powerex's as well. I expect the charger will have a learning curve to go through but will be worth learning properly. A readout is much nicer than just a blinking green LED, right?
